Bad battery life
I was using CM9 .. I thought my battery has issues and it's 1 n half year old that's why it is getting drained fast.. that's why i bought new battery.. but battery backup is pretty bad
I installed CM7.2 yesterday.. I did was i chose CM 7.2 file from CWM not by going into recovery but by starting CWM app. But it misses auto brightness etc. that's why removed .. and moved to my most liked stock ROM DDKP3 and BAM kernel I really want ICS .. I have habit of ICS because of my s3.. but atleast because dheeru we are able to see ICS and JB on our device!! I really appreciate his work..
But because of battery issues I am not opting for ICS

I had done same thing -.-' But I didn't like CM 7.2 only because of it's interface.. feels like using 320x480 pixel screen, i couldn't even see TIME on my status bar apart from it was enabled, it has no provision of auto brightness :\ overall it was really bad :'( and CM9 drains battery a lot but it's awesome!!!

I am on CM9, with UC's kernel for CM9, running perfect with no slow downs.
This issue is for every stock rom....
If u have many apps... That cud also be a reason...
Try wiping cache and dalvik

Pretty much this ^. CM9 makes such a big difference. I'm not even using the UC kernel (just plain dhiru's kernel) and it's been going for nearly a week without any lag at all.
I have a similar issue, no lag, but the camera goes black very often and I need to reboot..
thanks for the response and yes its jsut the stock gb versions i confirmed samsung is bloody **** i'd say ! m on remics rom 50 hours of usage and still going smooth and stable dam u video record ! hope it gets fixed soon

Same
You won't face any lag when using that ROM or dhiru's CM9 clean.
Yea it is a problem with stock gb roms. I'm too on DDKP3 and BCK v13 kernel.
I reboot phone every ~8 hours!

As he mentioned he needs video recording, so any CM based ROMs are out of question.
u can use poseidon rom since it more stable than CM all issues encountered by the users and testers has been solved like wifi, gps, battery performance..etc
plz hit the thanks button if i helped you
yep, i agree buddy.
of all roms ive tried (not including cm's) poseidon's rom over xxkpq was smoothest and best, with bugs solved.. along with this installation was kernel: uc v9 1009 + custom theme (you may choose up to your own choice) + some mods/scripts. the above enumerated was the best ive used for so long before moving to miui v4 2.7.6 which is way too smooth (however, unapplicable to u since video recording deems to work in low res).
cheers.
I loved titanium rom the most!! finest rom ^_^ .. even supports Hindi and other languages .. and i found it to be best when it comes battery ..

Would you say miui and poseidon are better than remics?? I'm thinking of flashing miui. I'm looking mostly for smoothnes in scroll and opening apps.
For you I think the best options are titanium or stock. I love stock roms! But they are not smooth enough for me, if that's not a problem for you, you should use the stock rom because of the lack of bugs.

i think ill go for titanium again, just will ask anyone if that rom works with bam kernel, smooth fast best battery life. I love stock rom to but to much lags and not so smooth, titanium has just one little bug; when someone calls you u cant see who is calling for about 1 second thats enough for grabbing the phone from your pocket lol, u all got thanks for answers, thanks.
if u want to be in stock ROM better to try the new value pack which is DDLF2 it has been reviewed by others and they can say that it is battery efficient, smooth and stable...and if u found lags u can use bam kernel v.14 beta that fixes bugs.. dont forget the thanks button..hehe
u can read some reviews about the said fw here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1741370
Try TheFrankenstein's Mod for DDLF2. Its smooth as hell . Literally as fast as CM7 . U could give it a try .

is there any bug ?
@ Angenit
im not saying that poseidon is better than remics buddy. i am saying that poseidon could be of good choice too. pls read op buddy, he asks for a bug free rom (specially with video recording) so i did not mention about remics, etc so as not to mislead him.
cheers,
edit:
sorry buddy, misunderstood ur post hehe..
poseidon paired with uc kernel v9 1009 was the longest streak i used (in terms of gingerbread base). apps smooth and snappy during opening. titanium had good reviews too buddy.
if u were referring of miui gingerbread, its not so stable and battery life is short. ryt now however, i am on miui v4 (ics based), which is far the snappiest ive tried in terms of scrolling and opening apps. battery life also is satisfactory with around 15-17 hrs moderate use per experience. miui v4's external card been changed to emmc =)

Problem with Razodroid & CMW

Hello,
my brother owns a Galaxy Fit and I rooted it and I installed Razodroid 4.0
I've got a problem, after some days of use he locks the device and if it stays screen off for more than one minute the mobile "dies" and its completely unresponsive for use. The only way to make it working is pull off the battery and turn on again.
The second problem is when I try to install official cm7 nightly builds I get an Error 7 on CMW.
Please help me im confused. Thanks in advice.
1st edit: I fixed error 7 on CMW, but still I want a stock rom with root for my phone, or a good rom for daily driver, any suggestions?
dont keep the phone overclocked the whole time..maybe his phone can't handle too much.
for daily use..umm hyperdroid is best one in stock and tj'c cm7.1 rc1/rc0 is the best one for me..
make sure your cwm is update with latest one!
try using creeds rom v4
or janas rom v5
both are the best ones out there for daily use
almost bug free n fast...

previously JellyBam, now on X-GamerZ for few days, smoothest rom tested so far :good:
X-GamerZ rom is really awesome. Fluid, no lag, stripped down. Games work fine. I can't go back to GB now. It feels like an eyesore. ICS is just not needed anymore as JB is much better in every way.

these are the bugs on the said thread:
1. WIFI doesn't work perfectly. Network strength doesn't show up and the network often disconnects.
2. There is LAG in the UI due to lack of Hardware Composer.
3. Front Facing camera preview is improper.
4. Video recording and playback suffers low framerate issues. Will be fixed soon.
5. Built-in WiFi hotspot doesn't work. Please use third party applications.
are these bugs already fixed? and what does it mean indtall first from A4?wer can i find it?

First root ddlf2 with bam kernel then flash cyanogenmod 10 alpha 4( no alpha 3 or 5) after that flash xgamerz and enjoy. EDIT:Recomended read carefully and understand the correct procedure to flash of each rom. You can find it in the OP of each rom.

Man i saw your post in Xgamerz trhead and just for curiosity. You solved your problems? If no: just try reflash cm10 alpha4 let the rom boot for 10/20 minutes dont worry if you dont have signal the 5 first minutes( its because the kernel) after that, reboot into recovery, do nandroid backup, when finish, follow the instruction to flash directly Xgamerz v2.2/ wipe data / format sistem/ flash rom /wipe cache & dalvik / fix permisions always help / reboot sistem / wait to complete boot,it takes several minutes (not necesary to flash any kernel, rom includes kwerty v3.1 test-2)
Enjoy.
Hope it helped you.

i used CM9 alpha 14 by Dhiru1602 with the alpha4 kernel to be efficient ..
due to so many new roms i havent tried jellybean yet but X-gamers V2.2 looks promising

i think i was wrong for flashing the x-gamers as i first flash qwerty kernel the got endless boot so to prevent that i removed the battery and went to recovery flashed the x-gamers, installation successful but only the mobile network is not functioning well..
by the way i just flashed back to stock ddlf2..until i know what shud i do to flash x-gamers w/o error..still collecting more information..hehe
