Orbit is my new live wallpaper. Colored circles orbit a point, which changes depending on where your finger is,
if you aren't touching the screen then it defaults back to the middle. The animation is smooth, each circle has
its own size, speed and distance from the centre point. Practically everything can be changed in the settings.
It's quite hard to explain what it's like, I think I make it sound quite boring but actually it's fun to play with and
very unique, give it a go! Please let me know what you think, whether it be good or bad. I would love to hear
suggestions on how I can improve it.
Thanks.
v1.3
- added the option to choose if circles grow/shrink
- added the option to choose if circles are random sizes
- slight performance enhancement
v1.2
- circles now move and follow at different speeds
This was actually originally intended but I screwed up a line of code, oops.
Now the circles orbit and follow at different speeds, which is a much nicer effect.
Also, please let me know if it lags a bit on your phone.
Trying it out now!
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
tested it out on my A953 and it seemed to work just fine. no lag.
not my style of wallpaper, but i'm sure many others will enjoy it.

Great! Thanks for the feedback.
v1.1
- added the ability to change the orbit speed
You can change the speed from 0% - 100% in increments of 10%.
It does lag at times on my phone. I was just going to suggest a setting to adjust the orbit speed and noticed you already did! I do like the paper... Nice job!

Seems to run pretty smooth at slower orbit speeds...

I had a feeling it might, thanks for letting me know. I'll try to improve it, meanwhile reducing the number of circles lightly should make it better.
v1.2

See the OP edit for info.
v1.3
- added the option to choose if circles grow/shrink
- added the option to choose if circles are random sizes

If anyone tests this with a tablet, please let me know if a larger orbit size is needed. Thanks.
Just thought I'd let you know I still run this. It's one my favorite live wallpapers! Thanks

Hey guys and gals, I'm back with another live wallpaper. This time I went with a much more subtle approach then the last few that I have made. It's a galaxy of stars that will twinkle(;]) to the music you are listening to.

As always it is free to XDA and can be grabbed at the bottom of the post in the attachments.
If you like my work and want to support me, feel free to purchase it from the market, but I will give any updates free here.
v2.0
Completely rewrote the live wallpaper using Android's new-ish Renderscript API
Performance is much better and visuals are much improved
Only supports Honeycomb+ as the Renderscript API is only available as such (sorry)
Optimized for CPUs/GPUs with more than one core
v1.1
Added full 3D effect with z-axis movement
Added angle change depending on which home screen you are viewing.
v1.0.1
Added dynamic triggering of effects
Changed comet count to 4 and they can be manually triggered with screen touch, otherwise they appear every 20 seconds.
v1.0
Initial Release
Looks like it would be really cool. I got very little reaction to music played from Google music on my Atrix running CM7.
Ok thanks for trying it out. I'll work on getting the trigger levels to automatically adjust. every phone seems to be different.

Released an update that should fix the issue. Only thing that remains is if you play music and move to more quieter music the levels wont adjust unless you change the volume. I'll continue working on a final solution.
v1.1 Update
Released another update that makes the wallpaper a bit more enjoyable by giving it the full 3D treatment. Move from home screen to home screen to gain a different perspective!
v2.0 released!
After about 5 months I have finally gotten another update out! It's a complete rewrite of my first galaxy wallpaper and is much improved! Unfortunately it is now only available for Android 3.0+ (Honeycomb).
Grab it in the OP, check it out, and let me know what you think!
Need froyo compatible version. Android market allows different versions based on device. Can you make the old version downloadable for Android version less than 3.0¿
Oh, really? I didn't know that. I will put up the old version again asap. Thanks for the tip!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.suffick.particle
This is my favorite one so far, it's a very entertaining physics based wallpaper. Each particle attracts other particles
when in range, which in turn affects each particles velocity and direction. The particles will continuously float around
and fling each other in different directions. You can change colors, particle gravity, size and more in the settings.
Tap = New particle
Double tap = Clear the screen and generate new particles
Let me know if the double tap time frame needs adjusting.
This is the first version, please let me know of any bugs or suggestions you have, thanks.
Please let me know if it lags at all.
Improved performance a little for slow devices.
Tablet users may need higher settings, let me know so I can adjust them. :s
1.1
- Added the option to turn double tap and tap off
Awesome
Very clean and I'm not seeing any bugs on my RAZRm.
A few ideas:
Custom bg (select a pic instead of color)
Rounded ends on the lines
Line *visability* option(More or less length before disappearing)
Larger line option ?30px? perhaps
Came up with these ideas with 0px circles and max sized lines. Just ideas, also looks cool at 1px circles.. lol love it!
Great lwp. No lag. No battery drain. Perfect.

Great, Is the double tap timing ok?
Every play a game and wonder what time it is? I have. And while smart status bar and the Galaxy S4 stock have a way to show the status bar, it would be nice to simply have one on the screen!
So i made a very simple app that listens for when you are in a full screen app and it will show the clock in the upper right hand corner.
This is a beta ish release. Meaning, there more than likely will be bugs. I tested it myself and it seems to be working great. But dont expect perfection. If it crashes please let me know and post a logcat.
If you guys like this i may consider upgrading it to include other features, for instance, size of clock font, background color, background transparency, location, auto start on boot, etc. Also, dont hesitate to donate It gets me motivated to improve my apps!!
Just download and install. Run it once select start, and thats it.
UPDATE: 8-11-13
- Code optimization and cleanup
- No message for showing clock
UPDATE: 9-11-13
- It now starts itself on boot
- Fixed layout issue

While this LWP is very neat, it seems to consume a lot of battery, a lot more than most LWPs. Anyone else noticing this or is it just my phone?

I haven't noticed any significant battery loss on my HTC one x. I'm not sure what the problem is. Are you using parallax? It will use a little more battery than without it.
Just released version 1.25
Code:
Version 1.25
-Changed rendering method of wallpaper to improve battery and performance. If there are any problems let me know.
-Removed wireframe mode(incompatible with new render method)
-Fixed user presets not saving
Can anyone tell me if they notice any problems?
The full version is currently 40% off for a limited time!

Update: V1.43 is avaliable with better looking effects, and a new one called Blurry Vision.

Hi, I have just released my first app "Kolrs", and so any initial feedback is very welcome. The UI is a bit plain in this initial release, but the functionality is quite okay.
Basically you generate super sharp HD wallpapers (no JPEG encoding loss), using different effects, and then set it instantly - no browsing and downloading needed!
Some effects do needs tweaking, certainly the color schemes - but some of the generated wallpapers looks really nice.
Get it free on Google Play : Kolrs - HD Wallpapers App
Thanks, any feedback greatly welcome!

It would be nice to see some darker colours though , but I like it. Nice job

Thanks DaksAnkit and golfgtiedition30! Really glad you like it - regarding darker colors, I am looking to make the colors more stable and always nice. Maybe even an advanced more with color choosings of some sort.
Nice app
agreed cool app thank you
Thanks both - I hope to have v1.01 out soon. I have another nice effect planned.
I have now released version 1.2. Now you can redo an effect instantly by tapping the middle section of the screen. Also, all effects have been reworked and a new one, Glow, has been added. Feel free to try it.
Wallpaper gerenation is great idea !

Hm thanks for the crash report iRYO400 - I think it was unresponsive UI due to the amount of time Avantgarde takes, so its not a crash per se. :|
I just updated the app now with a new effect called Trifecta and bette colors btw - try it out - its v1.22.
V1.3 added with info and new screenshot in the first post.
Did not find a way to edit the thread title I believe.

Hey, I tried your app and it indeed generates nice wallpapers! Something I miss is to be able to lock specific colors or tones in the generation.

Thanks Hatros; The goal is to be able to lock / real time change hue's in a future release. Glad you found it valuable.
