[Q] Phone internet slower on phone than on PC. Why? - HTC One S

Can someone explain why I get a better connection on my PC when using my phones mobile network (USB tethering) than when using my phones mobile network from the phone itself?
Here are four test results. The first two are the absolute best results I could get from my phone:

These results are from the PC (notice the ping):
My first thought was that it was something with the android app but when I test both over my cable connection I get the same result on both the PC and the phone. I tried making everything the same at all tests. Screen was on, speedtest app was running and so on. Any ideas?

Try using the website speedtest on your phones web browser, not the speed test app. I've heard they produce different results.

Bluehoo uses Bluetooth to discover "hoos" around you right here, right now, shows you those people’s profiles and helps you start conversations.

[Q] NS4G Any way to fix horrible reception?

I did search the forums.. I know this is an ongoing and well known issue with the phone. But as of 11/16/2011 are there any new radio/kernels/etc that can help? The reception is way worse than my old Evo and my wife's Epic in the same locations. Lots of time the phone just behaves bad because it can't obtain a signal. There may be not be a software solution, it is just such a shame because the phone is 90% awesome. Any new developements?

Maybe you have a defective phone. With the same radio you are using I get as good or better receptions than the 2 evos in the house.

Thanks for the data point! I was wondering it was my handset...
Maybe when ICS come out, I will unroot, revert to stock, go to Sprint store and complain, and maybe they will swap my handset.

[Help] G2X Wont Connect to Anything

Gonna explain this the best I can. I rooted my LG G2X P999 using this method. I flashed this rom and it worked good for like 2 days. Now I am having issues with the WiFi. It can connect to the WiFi fine but say I wanna go on the internet, nothing will load. The same thing happens when I try to connect to any of the Google Apps. Basically its like I'm connected but with no internet access.

One more thing I noticed is that when my phone is on low battery it does some funky ****. When I have it charged to like 85% it seems not to be as retarded.
My advice would be to not use that rom. If you really want to use Miui, try the roms put out by lanlee212 or nycelitemaster.

I am looking for an app/adapter that would allow you to power your wired home phone system using your cell phone. Ideally, I'd like to be able to use a cable, like the one shown, to simply plug my cell phone into one of the home phone jacks to provide service to the wired phones etc. I'm hoping to find a carrier neutral solution. Do you know of anything like this?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I searched the internet for a half hour before posting this question, and I found a solution on Amazon only moments after doing so.
It's the Cobra Phonelynx. It uses Bluetooth instead of a cable, and it's under $20. I'll post a review as soon as it arrives.

Usb permission for a web camera?!

Hello,i'm very sorry if this is the wrong location for this question/problem..
I have a Lenovo Android tablet in my car that use as a multimedia device. Now i want to install a backup camera by using usb web camera. Everything is just the way i want it..i even bought a app called Usb Camera Pro that starts on its own when the signal appears, and turns off when the signal is not there.
Only problem i'm having is when i connect the device (web camera,Easycap..whatever) it always asks for a permission to use that usb device..so every time i want to use it as a backup camera i need to click on screen and than start the app on my own! When the signal is not there the app turns off on its own.
I even tried a custom Rom today, and it's the same.
Can someone please help me to turn that off?
I asked the app developer and he told me that is the problem with the system, not his app,and that he don't have the solution.
