Could be a weak signal in general, are you gar from the router? Did you flash a custom rom?

Most likely the router. Mine does it too, a lot. but it isn't as bad now that I flashed the radio from 2.20
no, i have no custom rom and i am pretty close to the router

Flash the 2.20 radio + ril. It fixed all of my WiFi problems.

It fixed most of mine :3, my router doesn't have an external antenna, which accounts for the sometimes not connecting. Before on the 1.85 radio it was unbearable

maybe the configuration is bad?
Use best WiFi performance under WiFi advanced settings and it will go away. Drains battery a bit. But I never drop WiFi using it

Curious as to what others are using. I myself am running a dd-wrt'd linksys e2000.

Do you have any battery saver application?
I was getting WiFi disconnecting issues, but yesterday I flashed DD-WRT on my old linksys WRT54G router and the issue seems to have gone away.
So my issue was the router, for some of you guys it may be flashing a radio on your phone.

I'm running dd-wrt my hox is the only device that drops. S2 doesn't ever drop it... Odd.

Mine is set to channel 6 and mixed network mode. Maybe that could make a difference, but I think it is now starting to have issues again. It was fine up until now, no changes have been made. WiFi signal fluctuates from full to only one bar while standing in the same spot.

I'm using a linksys wrt 320n running dd-wrt. The network used to have problems until 18.abn pointed out I had accidentally musconfigured the n network. Now that I made the channel width 20 MHz (which is still 72mbps) and set the channel statically it works perfectly fine with my 2.20 radio + ril. Zero disconnects without using best WiFi performance.

Has anyone noticed the ringtone volume is very low when connected to WiFi? I've tested with and without WiFi multiple times and it seems to be very low whenever connected.

I haven't but I have noticed when I'm using WiFi calling I get worse call quality. I know its a WiFi quality/speed thing though.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Yea I noticed that too. Sometimes I have to disconnect the call and turn off WiFi calling to make a call..

That would be the only way we have these phones already. Or unless you robbed a T-mobile employee lol. On another note, I do have this same problem as well. I thought I was just going crazy the first couple times it happened.

i have the same problem with ringer volume on WiFi. An update was pushed to my store demo last night during the refresh. I don't know what it was for but maybe it fixes this issue.
Seems like this is a hex that comes with my sensation as once in a while it will drop data and try to reestablish the connection over and over again..
multiple roms except stock do this..
why?
Self Bump..
the issue seems to be with my router.. whenever i use WIFI at home it makes my phone do this.. but anywhere else i use wifi its fine and connects right back to data..
any ideas?
Same problem with me

Well i just had to connect to wifi to sync music for my ride tomorrow.. so.. trying to get it back..
I am using AT&T One X now, and I signed up a 4G LTE 2 year contract. However, my phone only gets to HSPA+ but not LTE. I've tried different ROMs, flashing radio, choosing the network type(changing into “LTE only” will only cause no signal), etc... None is working.
Any ideas? I live in Diamond Bar, which there are lots of hills and low mountains... Will the signal be a possible cause for the LTE fail?
LTE can be finnicky with signal, but what APN are you currently using?
Are you sure that your city has lte not every city has it yet.

This. It's the most obvious answer but it's probably it.
I live near diamond bar and I get LTE everywhere I go, granted I don't go there..

With the att ruu, the apn is locked and there is only one. So it is definitely the correct apn. With other roms, I tried all apns but none worked.

Since LTE runs on such a low frequency, if you are even a little outside of coverage area, on the fringe, or in low-lying areas, its very possible that you simply dont get LTE coverage. have you tested or witnessed any other LTE devices functioning in your area?

That is true, but you won't necessarily have LTE data unless you've called customer service and had them activate it for your plan.
Well my wifi just keeps dropping I'm on viperXL could this be a rom problem? Only thing I flashed other than that was the rezound music Box MOD

Try flashing a different radio. That helped for me.:highfive:
I'm on latest viper Rom, I would chose the first one but later on it the day it would go back to the fourth one. Any ideas would bmvery much be appreciated.
