[Q] [Help] Samsung Galaxy tab 2 stuck on boot screen after attempting root - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so this morning I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and the first thing I did when I got home was try to root it.
I followed all the instructions on Rootwiki and everything seemed to be going well til it finished and went to boot up. There it got stuck at the 'Galaxy Tab 2 7.0' and has been there for at least 3 hours now.
I was able to get into Clockworkmod Recovery but I'm not sure what to from there.
Can someone please help? I'm trying not to panic but this is the first time I've had an issue rooting something and I don't want to be out $300 dollars...

May be try delete cash and dalvik and fix permissions of cwm (if not try factory reset but will lose user data)
Or try copying cm10 to external sd from www.teamhacksung.org and flash but do a factory reset+delete cash+delete dalvik
Or see if you could enter download mode and flash via odin stock from www.samfirmware.com

I already tried a factory reset as well as delete cache and Dalvik cache. Didn't try fixing persmissions.
I can get into download mode as well so I have to ask you...
Would you mind giving me instructions on how I flash with Odin?
Obviously I did something wrong but I can't figure out what. This is my first time using Odin.
I would greatly appreciate it.

Ah, nevermind! I got it working. It turns out the file that they gave on rootwiki to put for the PDA thing no longer works.
Found an updated one and tried Odin again and it worked like a charm!
Thank you though for the help!

[Q] nearly bricked AT&T Galaxy S2 i777

My S2 got into a boot loop after switching battery. Charged the stock battery and put that back.. same. Tried going in recovery using vol-up, vol-up+vol-down, vol-up+vol-down+home, none worked. But could go into download mode using vol-down.
Tried reinstalling a 9100 rooted kernel (that I originally used for rooting few months back).. but now instead of boot loop it freezes on boot logo (Galaxy SII with exclamation). And won't go in download anymore.
Made a jig and successfully went into download mode and cleared the count. Used several kernels with a hope to fix but same. And the recovery still doesn't work.
I assume clearing cache and/or data might fix, but don't know how to do that without getting into recovery.
Please help!
In download mode flash cwm using odi . Reboot into cwm holding volume up and down. Factory reset, format system under mounts and storage and reinstall a different rom
Thanks for the reply!
Can you please provide the link for the correct CWM recovery for SGH-i777 US AT&T Galaxy SII, and confirm if I need to select that as PDA in ODIN?
Thank you!
Never mind.. I got the kernel from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1309293 and got into recovery mod.
Hope I should be able to sort it out from here. If not, will have bother you again.
Thanks a lot!

[Q] Bricked Samsung Galaxy Y Need help!

Hello. I recently tried to install the ICS Rom, but was unsuccesful. I had the Clockworld Recovery app, and did a back up of my original ROM.
I tried to update to the new ROM, but did not do a data wipe. I didnt know if it would wipe all my data, which I needed. I DID do a dalvik cache wipe...
I tried to boot into recovery, but it was no use. I cannot download any software on my computer, so no programs will work.
I need the phone ASAP. It gets stuck on the boot up. It displays the Samsung Galaxy Y screen, plays a different type of music from the original, and gets stuck on the black screen.
Please help! I am new and only a 13 year old! I need my phone for emergency uses! And soon! NEED SUPPORT NOW!:crying:
Did I brick my phone? Softbrick? Should I bring it to the tech? Please HELP!

If there is any response lights or anything, it is possible to recover it. But you need a computer unfortunately. Don't go around saying cause your 13 is an excuse for not being able to do this. I'm 13. Anyway try as hard as you can and download Odin for your device and I don't know exact details cause your phone is different from mine, but Odin it to stock. Try asking around your device forums and find a guide in the development forum.

I fixed it. I loaded a new ROM and all is well.
I didn't try to use an excuse, I was somewhat desperate.
Anyways, I fix the problem.

[Q] HELP!

I was flashing a friends galaxy blaze 4g back to stock. After following all the instructions the flash went through. But now I cannot go past the setup screen. I can see that some of my old apps are still there but since i get a force close at the setup I cannot go beyond that. I tried reflashing several times but the same problem. Any suggestions?

Go into recovery, if you have a custom one still, if not then flash one with Odin. Once in there, do a nandroid to back up your stuff and then wipe /data, /cache, dalvik cache, /system and do a factory reset and try again. If that doesn't work still then you may need to wipe /emmc also. Google for the stock ICS firmware and instructions.

Can't even get into recovery mode or download mode
Hi guys, I had a custom rom installed on the Galaxy S Blaze by TM for months. I tried to revert it back to stock rom. I failed to get into download mode for over an hour using the Vol Up/Down/Power key combination after removing the battery. I tried every possible combination including when to let power key go, other keys go, battery in, out, etc. Anyway, I finally was able to enter into ODIN mode thru ADB REBOOT DOWNLOAD after turning on the debugging with previous rom. Then I installed the stock rom downloaded from perhaps a wrong place. Everything installed correctly, ODIN passed, and I smiled like a winner.
However, I can't get past the setup due to the error, "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". Click ok, and I get the new error, "The application Google Services Framework.... stopped". Then, "the application Calendar storage... stopped". Then, the process about gapps stopped. Basically, I can't get any further on a so called "stock rom".
My dilemma is, I can't get into CWM recovery mode or the download mode anymore. It appears that if I enter the right combination, I get a few scattered pixels on the screen (instead of the CWM menu), and the number of pixels keep increasing until the screen turns practically white (in approx 5 minutes). Same store with recovery mode, computer won't even load drivers anymore, let alone ODIN reading it on a COM port. Getting into ODIN was already an impossible task 4 hours ago.
Help please!

I hate getting to Odin on this phone... maybe a USB jig could work?

That's some background info.
You can buy them on eBay too.

Actually this is not a big issue.. but need a bit workout to solve this..
First thing is dont be panic and be aware of what you are doing..
What happened now is a sift brick.. It happened because of the errors caused during installing CWM and which prevent you from booting.
The solution is to flash your phone with the original stock firmware of Galaxy Core using Odin after going into download mode. Hope you are familiar with the process.. Feel free to ask if you have doubts.

Hi,
I kinda have a similar problem. Installed cwm through adb, as the phone wont detect in odin. Then booted into recover, made backup and installed Kit-cat rom. Now the phone wont boot at all. Just comes back to recovery. I tried restoring backup, still doesnt work.
Also tried monster rom. Still the same problem.
Now i cant even flash stock, as it wont detect on odin. However other galaxy core's detect and work fine.
Is there anything i can do to restore.?
Cant even take it to samsung, as it'll boot into custom recovery and they will know i messed up the phone.
Any help is really appreciated.. thanks..

I'd try reinstalling drivers, connecting with a different USB port, reinstalling OS.

See whether your phone is getting detected in some other PC, there is chance your micro USB port might have been damaged.

Done reinstalling drivers, also changed USB cable/ports.. The thing is, other galaxy core's get detected.. Galaxy SL does, galaxy pro does.. only this particular device doesnt.!
I'll try once on other PC and get back to u..
For those stuck in recoverymode bootlop, read this article and use my zip via CWM to exit loop without odin

I face a harder problem considering that my I-8262 Duos, rooted and with custom CWM, blocked at the first try to install from zip Monster$. Then the bachup md5 mismatched and the device isn't detectable by Odin (any version). Flash Stock have I tried with no sucess. Adb sideload gives me a sintax error. Maybe there the error is mine. Only for notice of fellow reader. Acepting suggestions.

When you connect your device to PC, you are not getting any response from PC or is it showing USB device not recognized. Hope you have Kies and all drivers present on your PC.
Md5 mismatch is foubd for your Nandroid backup right?
First you try installing a ROM zip from recovery. Also do full data wipe, cache and all cleared. Search in forums that you can get a flashable zip of official firmware.

soft bricked my s6 . need help on how to proceed

Hi,im a total noob so please bear with me. ive soft bricked my phone and now unsure how to proceed.i can get download mode and i can get into twrp but not sure which option to use from there. any help appreciated .
thanks
Uhm, first of all how did you softbrick it?
Also try the steps in this guide: http://www.androidrootz.com/2015/05/how-to-unroot-galaxy-s6-and-s6-edge.html
Make sure you get the appropriate stock firmware from Sammobiles
i was trying to install the twrp app. all went ok until it went to reboot and now the samsung logo comes up but then disapears and i get a solid blue light top left.
I assume your phone is rooted? Did you try using Flashify? I'm also new to this xD my S6 never had problems with twrp till now, so don't really know how to help here. Sorry :/
Or you can try reflashing TWRP and clearing cache before rebooting to system, idk, might help
