Hi, I bought a new tablet Orkia PP555 which had a description that it will work for 5-6 hours (browsing/audio/video)
But my tablet is running only for 1 hour max after which the battery life is becoming less than 10%.
Is there a problem in my device or do I need to calibrate my device for longer battery life?
Please anyone help as I am new to Android device

Hello to all. This had been something I noticed for a while, but only took into consideration when I found out the tab 2 7.0 's battery capacity. For a while I've been getting on average 3 1/2 hours battery life. For a tablet with a 4000mAh battery, this concerns me. So is this battery life expected or may there be something underlying?
Any help appreciated.
Depending on the age of the tablet the battery could be exhausted and need replacing, or you may have apps chewing up your battery life.
Install CPU spy from the Play store and monitor over a 24hr period, you may have a better idea of what's going on.
Pp.
OK thanks so much. Appreciate the reply

Battery life might decrease for a various reasons. How frequent do you charge?
If you never had a moment where you didn't charge it for days, then the battery might be fine and problem lies with some code. It might be a calibration problem due to a bad recovery version. With less dev support, the bug may have gone unnoticed in the recovery.
Try this: Fully discharge your battery, even after it shows 0%, restart continuously till the tab doesn't start(not even recovery). Keep it like that for an hour. Then attach charger and charge till 100%. Again keep it aside for an hour after full charge, with charger disconnected. Then turn it on and check.
The FG chip does 2 measurements at 0 and 100% after an hour idle and recalibrates. A shortcut is go to a repair shop and open the back cover and disconnect the battery for 20mins and then recalibration will take place instantly. Don't trust the calibration apps in playstore, they're meaningless.
If it still doesn't work battery, kernel is to blame.
It is because of the kernel. The kernel of CM is not good at saving power but the performance is not bad at all.
However, I found that the AA kernel by android andi or Dhollmen kernel version 3.0.101 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176563),
these two are both really good at power saving and powerful.
For me, I would prefer Dhollmen one because the installation is sample, it just flash the file at the recovery mode.
Hope these information could help.
hi
I wanted to ask did anyone notice the same problem on their nexus 5
after i fully charged my battery, i unplug and left the screen off and put it aside. The battery drained from 100% to 90% in just like 30 minutes. But then the battery drained so much slower (like only 5% for the whole 11pm to 7am) after the battery level was below 90%
Did anyone had the same problems?

Hi, I bought used Ace 3 recently and my battery life isn't very good. It's cca 20mins screentime — 10% battery, so cca 3 hours of screentime (both stock and CM12). I wonder if it's just old battery or if its normal.
I can return the phone in 7 days, so if such battery life is normal, I'll buy Xperia M instead which is said to be better.
Thanks for answer, I have time just until Wednesday.
It's good, depends what are you doing with it.
So my it's problem of my battery and with the new battery will the phone last one day of moderate usage without problem?
Hello, guys!
I have a problem with my phone for the past few months and after clean flashing 7.0 Nougat it's still present.
My problem is that when I'm home, my phone drains not even few percent of battery. Specially when I'm sleeping, I can go to bed with 100% battery and wake up with 98-99%. BUT when I'm out, specially when I'm working since my work involves a lot of walking the battery just drains like hell and I mean like 7-10% per hour considering I don't even use the phone. Sometimes I will have 30min to an hour of screen-on time and after 10 hours of work I will be home with 15% of battery left.
Now I know that this is mostly to some rouge app that keeps my phone awake and drains my battery but I'm not really sure how to pinpoint it.
I will provide my stats from Bettertbatteystats and WakelockDetector if you guys can help me.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I just want to explain that the straight line on the first picture with the batter drain graph is when I went home and left my phone on the table for about 3 hours. You can clearly see that the difference in battery consumption during my phone being in my pocket and on the table.
Hello team, need suggestions on this. I have a new zte axon 10 pro from bhphotovideo bought close to a month ago. Battery life is around 15-17 hours when the battery is down to 10-20% with a screen time of around 6 to 7 hours. Accubattery shows theEstimated capacity of 3876mAh as opposed to design capacity of 4000mAh. Could someone suggest whether it's normal or should I return/replace the phone ?
