S voice changed after update - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Im not really sure what happened but S voice was working fine. And now its speach is slow and the voice raspy. It may sound funny but, its not the same anymore. Anyone experience this? Or know of a fix? I've tried a battery pull that doesn't seem to do anything.

Try going to settings - language and input - text to speach, and try changing the speach engine.

Disable Full Battery Popup For Mesmerize and Showcase

So after days and days of testing, trying and testing some more, with some tests working and some not, I had almost decided to give up on this. It seems that the code is loaded in lots of places and works itself back in over time even when it does work.
Little did I know that Sammy did something right for a change.
*#3844228#
Enter this code into your phone and a screen will come up with the option to disable Full battery Popup.
Gee, why couldn't we have found this two months ago.
---EDIT
If you flashed the original package, flash the undo package. This might help for those of you that the code isn't working.
Awesome, thanks phidelt!

HA! Nice work. Although I'm guessing you are frustrated that it was something this easy after spending all that time looking through code.

Not frustrated at all. Relieved actually now that I saw how much code was going to have to be ripped out. It's tied into the lock screen which is why it worked sometimes and not others. I'm just glad I ran across that code. It was lumped in with a bunch of test codes. Most did nothing at all, probably because they were for the i9000. Anyway, back to the grind.

That's really odd. A lot don't work for our phone but this one should.
BTW, did you see your present?
Entering the code works on my phone. I get the FullbatPopup checkbox. I checked it. Rebooted (just wanted to see if the selection stuck - it did).
Charged my phone last night - saw the popup at 3:00 in the morning.

Gmail unresponsive

Gmail is borked. I can open it but it just flickers. I search the forum but I didn't find anything. I reinstalled it, reflashed gapps, rebooted, and fix permissions but it still won't work. I'm able to receive emails but can't open them or anything. Any ideas for a fix?

My entire Google account has been acting strange lately. Sync has been a little messed up and I can't download from the market. No relevant changes have been made since it last seemed fine two days ago. Did you start noticing problems around then too? I'm not on the same rom as you which leads me to believe it's a Google thing. Dunno though...is your market working?

I'm not too sure exactly when it started because I noticed that my Gmail sync was off. Weird , I never turned it off. I checked it on and received emails. I went to view them and noticed the app behaving weird. I didn't do anything our of the ordinary just use the phone. I'm able to download apps so I'm not sure if it's Google. So yes market works.

I never had any luck with the gmail app I have always just used the stock email app... dame deal though huge delays, unable to receive mail even after manual refreshes, ect... the black background mod that comes with it makes it look good too if your like me and into the minimal look
Pin it to Win it.
Yeah I like it pretty dark and simple!
I noticed that it's not Gmail... When I hit the airplane mode to disable all antenna's and re-enable it again, it's fine until I reboot my phone. Then I have to do this again if I want to get my email notifications back. The Gmail apps seems to work fine so far for me... But I will try the dark theme for it!

Audio Echo on Phone Calls

I am having a minor issue with my phone. When I make or place calls the person on the other end says that they hear an echo. I have tried to clear and reflash my rom but still having an issue. I am running SKY-ICS 4.2F-6 with the latest update on AT&T using the UXCLF3 radio. could the radio be causing the problem? Any help would be great.
could be the radio, location you are in, hardware problem, or if you have a case on the phone

I am going to try the UCLF5 radio and kernal and see if that makes a difference.
It happens in many different locations so I ruled that out first. I thought it was the Microcell in my office but when I was at a different location they still heard it.
I am hoping it's not a hardware problem.
I do have a case but the problem just started a few weeks ago and was trying to figure it before I posted here for help.
Thanks for the help..

There is no option for noise suppression when I go to call settings while in a phone call. I guess there might not be a fix for this then. Might have to go out for repair then.

Had this issue on ics . In the other ROMs i noticed that the volume becomes very less after some time ( not mute though ). Reboot as usual fixes it.
i also have similar issue. sometimes audio doesn't work in music player/games. then i pause the player/game, go to home and increase phone volume using vol. up key. it usually fixes the issue

My guess is you have lint stuck in there. If you keep your phone in your pocket, especially with jeans and similar materials, lint tends to find its way into the jack. I get this all the time, and audio cuts in and out, and you sometimes have to force the plug in hard to get it to work at all. Turn the phone off and pull the battery out (really, do it) then bend a small paper clip so it is strait with just a little hook on the end, and carefully use it to pull the lint out of the jack. A bright light is helpful in the process. If I am right, you will be amazed at how much you can pull out, and if you get it clear it hopefully will work again.
I found out if you have your ringtones to vibrate or mute, the sound will stay working. So in other words, keep your phone on either and you'll be good . It's something to do with JB. I did some searching and came across a thread somewhere on xda saying it's something with custom JB ROMs across all devices, even nexus devices. What happens may vary, but in the end JB has audio issues

Yeah. I had the issue for the LONGEST time, now it is working fine 24/7, like I have all sounds working no problem. If it starts doing it again, I'll post here to let you guys know. If it doesn't **** up again, then all I can say is for anyone who get the issue, just stick to vibrate only for notifications and your other sounds (music, etc) will work fine.
I don't know if it matter's or not, but I am running the PAC-man ROM, the most recent v4 6/12/13. It might even be something with the default notification sounds being used. I am using sounds for my notifications from Zedge.

Phantom voicemail

I am sorry if I sound like a noob and idiot, but I just installed a CM10 (stable) on my Skyrocket, and it's been hit by a case of phantom voicemails. Is there a permanent solution for that, or should I just try a different ROM?

Just call ur voicemail, it'll say no new messages and send an encoded.text.message to your phone saying so, getting rid of the notification. If that doesn't work reflash

Thanks, unfortunately neither works - I'll probably need to move off CM.
Saw that a couple times on embryo 6. Annoying yes but a clear cache of the phone app immediately removes the notification. It only happened a few times on the same flash. Eventually stopped.
