AOKP JB and HDMI (Solved!) - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hello, I had HDMI working on R4INS AOKP JB up to and including the Sept. 5th build. Since that time HDMI is missing from AOKP JB (or any cm10 based rom). I have mentioned it but, it doesn't seem to be a high priority and I understand. Since It was there before surely there must be a way to put it back in. I was wondering if maybe it was something as simple as a build prop. edit or something that is way over my head? Thanks in advance for any help.
Edit: You are correct I should have posted in Q&A. Anyways I answered my own question. It is as simple as a build prop. edit. With build.prop editor, add: "ro.hdmi.enable" set value to "true"

There is a thread in q&a to discuss this ROM. Best to ask there.

Since this is no longer a question, Should it stay here for general information?

Of course there is. Every Dev who has created a ICS will make a JB. Not sure this is worthy of a thread start. Next week things will start rolling in Kernels and Rom's. Just enjoy JB.
Nothing is coming until we have source. This thread only asks a question that even a little bit of logic would make unnecessary. I don't get why anyone would feel the need to ask it, I mean what's their reasoning? Is every kernel dev is sitting on their hands until someone asks if anyone's working on something?

The PVR userspace libs and kernel driver is mismatched.
So, I've requested the correct source on the Android Building groups, and will release a test version whenever they decide to push that...

ConnectBot mod for TF700 dock

Hey folks!
For those who miss ConnectBot:
The kindly Andy Janata has posted an update to his fork with a modification to work with the TF700 + dock.
I can't post links yet, google: ajanata-connectbot-transformer-infinity
This was a "must have" app coming from the TF101 so I was very glad to find someone who already had this working.
A compiled version exists on his server but he has not linked to it anywhere publicly that I can tell so I didn't want to list it here without permission. Its not too hard to find if you want it. Otherwise compile away!
what does this app do?

Update Rumor
I was finally able to get the source to download Monday and eventually got it to build yet it doesn't quite work yet since it's 4.2.1  so this will probably need to be put on hold until the 4.2.1 kernel is closer to stable.
Thread Ownership Change
I am turning the ParanoidAndroid thread over to my teammate thomas.raines. He has the 4.1.2 source which is no longer available on GitHub. I appreciate everyone's patience with me in the lack of support I have been able to provide for this ROM. Thomas will do an excellent job.

Is the download link in OP, because I cannot find it. Or is is just me? Thanks in advance.

Download link has been taken down because it was an unstable alpha build. Thomas is most likely working his butt off to fix this ROM. Please be patient until it gets fixed. In the mean time, check out the PACman ROM. It is a mashup of Paranoid, CM and AOKP.

When PA pulled the source code from their repository I was dead in the water. I haven't been in contact with anyone from TFQ in over a month so I'm not sure if Mr. Raines has made any progress.

Is it possible to just port PA? I know the first answer to that would be for me to try myself, but I don't have access to a good 64 bit computer running Linux and I am not allowed to change our only 64 bit computer to Linux or even touch it considering that it is my dad's. I understand that PACman is a thing, because I have recommend it to others before, but I would like to have just plain PA. Just a thought with a nice long monologue about why I can't attempt it myself. That is unless someone would like to inform me that it is possible to port on a 32 but computer xD

Flash zips in recovery once I create them. Take a backup first as I am not responsible for any bricked tablets or loss of data. However that shouldn't be an issue.

I hope you considered that the dock notifiation also indicates the amount of battery left in the dock. If we remove that notification there could be a problem with the battery indication of it. But lets see the tests first

This is a good point...
but hey its been asked for lol.
And here is the FIRST beta. Any force closes or any issues take a logcat
ADB method (Easiest)
Type:
adb logcat -d -v time > %USERPROFILE%\Documents\NoDockNotifCrash.txt
The log will be in your my documents directory.
Android Terminal Method:
logcat -d -v time > /sdcard/NoDockNotifCrash.txt
The log will be in your ROOT directory of the sdcard.
Then post them AS ATTACHMENT to not copy and paste -.- lol
Let me know how it turned out!
Thanks guys! Maybe someone can donate me a dock? hehe just kidding im not gonna be greedy

Thanks I'll load another rom and give it another try.
Let me flash the deodexed version of CROMI (I'm on odexed currently). BRB!
EDIT/UPDATE: I've flashed the current deoxed CROMI (v3.2.2) and the dock notification is gone. Since it is a clean flash no other apps are interfering, and so it seems to work pretty well! Thanks for the possibility to test-drive this. It's a lot more pleasurable when there are no issues to track down -- it seems you've gotten the hang of it? This means I now have a new problem: deciding whether to stay on DEODEXED for now since all those pesky notifications have been eradicated, or return to ODEXED for the (supposed) smoothness... Don't you just looooooove first world problems?

So my first release is working!? On the first try!? Woah sweetness!
Now I have a question. Someone stated the notification holds the battery percentage for the dock. Now say the battery for the dock gets to 14 percent. Do Anton know if there is a window stating the percentage is low? Or any notification?
If not I could possibly make one to notify if the battery gets low.

just an easy question...

hi,
if i install the cm10 nightlies will my android also be updated to 4.2.2 ?
Or do i first have to manually update to 4.2.2 ?
because my tab has the latest 4.0.3.
hope someone anwers because im new here...
Yes.

thx will install right now , also wifi and 3g functions will still work?
They should work, but of course they are nightly experimental versions so sometimes things can get confused so maybe you should consider a more stable version. Just make sure you make backups before you flash anything

Don't listen to that guy. You can even see hes post count is low.
To answer you question... Sort of.
The latest version of android for gtab2 is 4.1.X
Not 4.2.2.
You can install cm nightlies AFTER getting 4.1.X. It won't work with ICS (JB bootloader mismatch or something)
The same question was also posted in the cm nightly thread and somebody with a lot more posts than you also said yes. Sorry if the answer I gave was incorrect, I have never heard of this problem before.
Sent from my GT-p5110 using Tapatalk HD
My tab came with ICS 4.0.3. I have not updated my boot loader or firmware or any of that and cm10.1 android 4.2.2 works just fine. The only mismatch that occurs when you don't update the boot loader is that the screen goes all crazy for a half a second between the splash screen and the boot animation. That is it. So on that note, don't panic when you see that. It isn't hurting anything.
And please just ask your questions in 1 thread. Doubling up questions and creating redundant threads is against xda rules. No hard feeling over it. We were all new here once too.
Sent from your phone. You should be careful where you leave that thing.
