I've got to say thank god it is early compared to what predictions were saying!!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Would love if it came this early, though I'm still confident it will be in the December time frame
It would be great if they would stick to their word which a) we all know their history with keeping their word and b) it wasn't an official HTC source anyway. Here's to hoping all us skeptics are wrong!
Eh. January 27th sounds about right.

Will be released in July and as a very nicely spec'd prepaid phone with vanilla android- it is imperative that it recieves a sub forum for development, themes, etc.
Thanks

I don't know how requesting things work around here, so I'll just take a stab at it
+1 for a new Forum for the Triumph, I can see lots of development happening, as it will probably ship with an unlocked bootloader, as per This: THIS
+1 for the Triumph forum. I am very interested in this device.
Just bringing this back to the top with news. You can preorder this at best buy now for 299.
Normally radio shack will drop the price a bit on release for certain vm phones, can't wait to see.

+1 on the triumph forum addition. I'm preordered.
Im waiting to see the radio shack price. Im getting this though!
Is this the correct way to request a new forum addition?

Coming out of Lurkdom to say that I concur on the request for a specific Triumph forum....With lots of development and communtiy (fingers crossed)
5 requests.
How many signatures do we need?

I am very currious about this phone and if I had the money, I would donate the phone to the CM7 team. Finally a B-tier phone (non dual-core) with last years features for a great US prepaid carrier! I would leave T-Mobile for this phone.

Im leaving T-mobile for this device and a friend of mine is leaving Verizon.

The Note 2 is great and all, but the rumored s4 looks pretty great the article I found came from a Korean newspaper

You guys are all hanging around the XDA forum with a phone that has a locked bootloader? lmao... It sucks to be locked down.

So lemme get this straight..
You have nothing better to do than take the time to come to s4 forums, and make yet another bootloader thread?
I bet you greet people at walmart.

Show me how to remove your battery...or use your sd card slot...or easily repair your device when you drop it...and score higher than me on benchmarks. .
I'll never understand what compels people to troll...it's a great phone. So is the HTC one. Please leave and don't come back unless you have something useful to say.

This is the pinnacle of pointless threads. Literally all this is meant to do is flame an entire android forum. Mods please lock this.
You have over 2,000 posts, which would normally imply that you're an established and respected member of the community, yet still post threads like this. Nice to know you try to instigate childish fights. Play on your side of the playground and we'll stay on ours. Even with a locked bootloader, let's compare sales and see who's on top .

I've seen some silly posts & threads, but starting this thread is the ultimate low.
Making us who have the One look bad. If you didn't know, the One X had a locked bootloader for months. Get outta here with this crap.

Now that we get dual booting and Google play edition phones. Based on rumors of the new HTC One. Would it be wise to sell my N5 and go to the new One? If waterproof. I think I will have to. Always been a dream to have HTC and Vanilla.

I think you just answered your own question
The Google play edition HTC and Sammy phones look vanilla but aren't. They still have proprietary frameworks so don't expect the fact they have GPE to mean AOSP development will be any better
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Oh really. I didn't wanna here that. I like my options open to run whatever I want with lots of development.

Honestly coming from a Droid 3 I love the amount of development on this device even though I am still on the stock ROM. Nexus devices the rest of the way please.

I just wanna know how good the aosp development is for HTC one. Always wanted a hyc stock phone. How could it get any better.

It's never "wise" to buy a brand new phone 5 months after the last one came out. However it's your money, spend in on what you want. Just don't expect members of one phones forum to recommend another phone.

You will have to sell 2 nexuses actually.
imo, the the new HTC ONE seems like going where SONY Xperia z2 and SGS5 went that LG didn't go.
I mean too big body in proportion to the screen size.

It's more than 5 months old fyi - 19th Feb 2013 to be exact..
----------------------------------
I used to use MoDaCo on my old HTC One which (I then swapped for the Note 3 (still have it) and I have an N5 now), had the option of flicking between Sense and GPE - It worked, but as posted further up development isn't that great for the One.
Amen on the price. And not worried about size. My N5 is big with a ballistics SG maxx case.

Just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat. I would like to have the speakers and camera of a new phone. And a few other little things.
