How to root Motorola Android 2.2.3 - General Questions and Answers

I have searched everywhere on this site and can't find how to root my phone. I suppose that's because, by now it's probably a dinosaur. People have probably gone way beyond worrying about how to root this. But hopefully I am wrong. Any ideas?

Thanks, but I have tried that but cannot find a working link. Also, one link was blocked by the feds. I have also tried z4root which doesn't work anymore.

Zurgrush is incorporated within super one click, but just leave it on auto and it will find the best way to root

Just search "Super One Click" or "Moto Fail" in Google or this forum will get the answer

I was going to share a link to a super one click download but this forum won't let me. I suppose I need to be more popular.

You have two options. Rerun the hack kit or update through settings, then run the steps I listed in the long update thread to root it then install ROM manager and flash recovery.
