[Q] Help!!TV Out! - Samsung Infuse 4G

Hey guys i want to run my Xbox controller (wireless) (has to be 3.2 to run Xbox controller if I'm correct) on my phone while connected to the TV, But Cyanogen 9 mod doesn't support TV out so i wanted to know if can brute force the TV out(and how...is it for only mt4g??) or maybe there is a ROM that supports TV out if possible.
Please give instruction if u can help me on brute force... thank you i appreciate it

Only Gingerbread roms support TV-Out. You can't "brute force" anything, sorry!
what's with the huge text?

Is there any for that us similar to t.v Out

That is a feature written in the kernel, so as you have already been told, if you would like to use tv out, switch to a GB rom.

[Q] Does it do HDMI mirroring?

Does it do HDMI mirroring?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
The official specs page says
micro-USB 2.0 (5-pin) port with mobile high-definition video link (MHL) for USB or HDMI connection
But i have no idea how it will work.
i dont believe it has hdmi mirroring it will be similar to the evo hdmi i think we will have to take some notes from the evo page and hack it on
bump.. can anyone with the phone confirm this?

You'll have to wait a while for confirmation I think as it's still not that easy to get mhl adapters or cables. Many review sites weren't even able to test it on the SII.
Hopefully someone can hack up a nice HDMI mirroring mod that supports landscape mode. The Atrix mod only supports Portrait mode and apparently it's a ton of work to get landscape working properly.
What a shame because I bought a Wiimote and Classic Wii controller specifically to use PSX and N64 emu's on my TV. It was such a pain to find that no mods/devs could get working Landscape mirroring.

[Q] TV out

Has anyone been able to get the 3.5 mm to RCA adapter to work with the infuse because I have 2 and not all of my TVs are HDMI capable and the TV out settings menu is gone so is it possible
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
I'm pretty sure it is gone, due to MHL support (HDMI over USB) but if anybody could make it happen, I would love to see it. I don't own a single TV with HDMI, but have 1 component hdtv & composite/s-video sdtv. I would love to be able to use my infuse with them. I used the HDMI for the first time over at my girlfriends grandparents, and it was amazing. Would this be something possible to port over from the captivate once GB arrives, or would it require a too extreme of a sorcery to port over?

We may not have the hardware for it at all. If I ever get the time I'll look to see if there's hint of it in the kernel sources, but just to warn you, this particular item is very low priority for me. I haven't owned an analog-only TV in years.
it would also need a program to tell it it is connected to a tv. the phone whouldnt be able to tell if a tv or a microphone was connected.
is there any update on this yet?
anyone tried something already?
Thanks!

Xbox 360 controller

i was wonderning if xbox 360 pad can be used with our sensation for gaming.
i'm saying this because ps3 pad can be used for gaming and all it takes a driver which enables it.
i'm not a dev but i would love it if someting like this can be done.
please dev can you give some insight about this thread.

What way does the 360 controller connect to the Xbox wirelessly? If it's Bluetooth, there *MIGHT* be a slight chance. But if it's not Bluetooth, no way to get it working.

it only says its use wireless at 1.4 ghz protocol to connect
othere than that i could not find anything
Ok this is what I do know about your question. I do think the X-Box 360 does use Bluetooth for the wireless controllers, but do not hold me to it as I have not researched it in depth. If it is Bluetooth then you should be able to connect it via Bluetooth if your device supports the service the controller uses to communicate. But this is where the problem lies at, I do not think the services or supported in Gingerbread. Now if the Sensation suppers USB host functionality then you probably can use a USB hub to connect your Sensation and the X-Box 360 controller to and use it that way.
Now in ICS I do know that game pads are supported. You can read the article on Engadget to read more about that.

Hi,
Unfortunately for you the 360 wireless controller works via radio rather than bluetooth (unlike the PS3 and the Wii)

one of many reasons why I can not wait for ICS!!!
p.s. I do not believe Xbox controllers run on Blutooth... PS3 controller yes.

Thanks for correcting me, as I said I had not ever really looked into it. I knew the PS3 controller worked via Bluetooth, so it was a incorrect assumtion on my part.
Also thanks to someone I consider a friend malybru.
Even so if you dont have a stock build of android like CM7, or MIUI, Bluetooth wont work with the ps3 or wii controllers... HTC needs to fix that in their next update. i love sense and i love gaming it sucks i cant have both
360 = rf
ps3 = bt
Yeah, you will never get a 360 controller working without a hardware mod of some sort.
Wii is BT as well.
i just want to know how does cm7 or miui allow the users to connect to ps3 pad
if they use different bluetooth app or driver files than i think it will be good for us to just move them in our phone and we are good to go.
if any 1 can tell me the reason these two rom can connect to ps3 pad. and what is it that allows them
U need a radio reciever in your phone at 2.4ghz to use xbox controller. Our phones dont. So no go. End of story
I know there are usb adapters for the xbox 360 controller , would it be possible to use a usb to micro usb cable and use USB OTG to get it to communicate, then creat some sort of driver to get it to work? Sorry if its impossible, just throwing science at the wall here to see what sticks.
LOL we work around science.

Sorry for digging out this topic but it might be usefull for some ppl. With new usb otg function i managed to control this wireless 360 pad to sensation. Here's my vid showing that Sensation and xbox 360 wireless pad

[Q] Moga controller and the g2x p999

Was doing some surfing trying to find some worth while tegra 2 games and stumbled upon the moga controller....Now ive seen one before but only on the galaxy....i did some skimming and saw that it is 2.3 capable....
please give me some good news guys:
can i use this ( or any bluetooth controller) with the g2x?
and for the record I am not rooted and am uncomfortable with the ps3 controller "trick/mod" as i feel it requires more tech savvy skill than i currently have.
thanks guys

Buy it where you can get a refund if it doesn't work and try it. You will have to use it either with firmware V21E and any ROM or V21Y with only stock LG ROM or a direct derivative of it.
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully this doesn't sound to dumb on my part...: but is there a controller that I can use that simply connects via Bluetooth?

If I remember correctly I always used my ps3 controller on the new baseband. Bluetooth works it's just headsets tend to not let you talk.
I prefer the ps3 controller. It is simple, just follow the directions .

[Q] Bluetooth Ps3 controller help (sixaxis or similar)

I have the Samsung galaxy note 10.1 (4.1.2 GT-N8013) I want to purchase a ps3 controller to play games on because some of the controls are not friendly for hours of play. I have seen that rooting the device would, potentially, make the sixaxis app work but, If there is a simpler way to do it with a PS3 controller i would like to know.
Could you run a wired connection without a root? highly inconvenient but would get the job done. I would rather bluetooth tho
If all fails and i need to root the device please post links to the best rooting guides you have.
P.S. i have searched for the solution and there isn't on that i found. I did see the compatible games thread but i figured it was dead.
i think it wont work without root and bluetooth connection. since samsung didn't build in the ability to use high performance device on the connector port the tablet just says that it cant use the device.
i already tried it out with the xbox360 controller and an external hdd. both give me the error i stated before.
we need a kernel that supports high performance devices but i dont know if there is already one. would be nice if someone could tell if there is such kernel at the moment!

seems like it works but your controller has to be fully charged
You should be able to use the PS3 controller as plug and play. I do so on my asus TF101 with games such as dead trigger and SG: deadzone, but it will only work with apps that are compatible with android conrollers. I dont this the same functionality is available for 360 controllers.
If you want to use the PS3 controller as a bluetooth controller, then you will need to root. you will also need a seperate app on your laptop so that you can load the correct address in to the controller.
It really is about time that Google added support for game controllers into the android os, considering the amount of games available and touch screen controls just don't cut it for alot of games imo.
Yes it's great that some games have built in support for pads like the 360 controller etc but the amount of games with that kind of controller support is very limited.

Ps3 controller plug and play does work but it's touchy, it connects fine sometime other times it resisters as a high power device why I don't know I have been trying to work it out for ages
So root and it will work if the games are compatible ? Whats the best root ?

Its working for me even with bluetooth. I think as long as you root, have the 30pin to usb extension from samsung, sixaxis will recognize the controller and set its bluetooth.
I have the NA verizon note 10.1 n8020 and used adamoutler Take Note jailbreak.
