[Q] Wallpaper Dimensions?

What Dimensions do we use to where they don't stretch out?
If you select an image, it will just crop it so everything is still in proportion.

qHD 540 x 960 resolution
1080x960 if you use a launcher where the wallpaper scrolls.

Whoever has posted a screenshot of their phone usually has the resolution at 544 x 960. Weird.

I looked at the info behind my screenshots to double check and they do say 540x960.
Does the file type have to be jpg? I've tried tif and jp2, but even though it says the wallpaper is installed it doesn't change.

I'd be very surprised if it isn't 480 x 800 pixels same as phone.

Correct. Coredroid 1.3 uses Sense 2.1 with the scrolling wallpaper so the wallpaper's resolution will be 480 x 800.
Edit: Welcome to XDA!

[Q] What is screen resolution vertically? On one screen?

I have 3 screens that I use. But I want my wallpaper to fit perfectly into one screen with no wallpaper scrolling. So my next question is what screen resolution for one screen vertically? Is it 480x800?
I know it won't work unless if I get a picture and fit into the correct resolution then paste it over some color background that is 800x480.
Thanks.
Yes, it's 480 by 800

There is an app at the Market called MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. It can put a different picture on each screen. It can also use just one Picture for all screen.

Why do you want to take pictures with a lower resolution when every person on this planet is gunning for having the highest resolution camera money can buy ?
I am not sure if that's possible but in the camera settings there are some lower resolution settings so you can try those.
I can not say so, I mean that it would not be bad to have such permission 1920 # 1080 # on our devayse

Devices standard is 800x480 - 233dpi. You could try 210. For my One S 960x540 - 240dpi. I used per app scaling 200-220 dpi depending on the specific app. Actually i use a Lollipop rom, and xposed framework is not fully supported so I use the standard 240 dpi.
