That is exactly what I ment

visual search technology sounds very promising! it would be an outstanding feature in my eyes. hopefully it will find the way to windows mobile!

Would love to see it on my HD2 but I doubt we'll see it anytime soon.

not on windows mobile but it works perfectly well when running Android on the hd2. i tried it and was surprised how clever it was such as i took an image of my penknife and it recognised the logo on the side as victorinox (swiss army) and pulled up there home page.

Hello guys, I know this might sound funny but am just wondering if all the gurus here will ever think of making a dual boot for sensation so it runs windows mobile 7. Just got my HTC sensation today and am loving it

Sound Enhancer on Samsung Focus

Is it possible to have a sound enhancer app on focus? I read that its available on HTC phones.

don't get sad dude, now it is possible for all phones,
using this amazing trick from giammo you can change your OEM manufacturer as HTC and install any HTC app, I think most of them will run on most phones,
at least the Sound Enhancer reported to work correctly,

just make sure that you logged on using your windows live id on both phone and zune,
also be sure that your region location is united states,
make a reboot for your phone after this and try again

Thanks for this insightful info. But the thing is I am not dev unlocked and don't even know how to. Will the new Chevron unlock work?
I have read a little bit about dev unlocks, but still confused about the concept. Will you clarify the procedure right from the easiest way to Dev unlock and finally installing sound enhancer?
Btw, why can't any developer make a similar app like sound enhancer and put it in market? I am ready to pay for it and many more will also be willing. That's what market is for!

Is there HTC enhancer xap available as a standalone app? And, can it be deployed after Chevron dev unlock. I am on unlocked at&t Samsung focus with official mango in India.

I get that error too. I just to a replacement HD7 and the app is no longer available to download. I am devasated

I have both HD7 and Dell Venue Pro, unlocking them is different than the Focus,

And I'm sure in its Forum you will find a way how to modify the registery and proceed,
To make an application like this you will need a licence from SRS Laps Co.
I think it is difficult to find official app to do this, try to unlock your phone and sideload the xap.

I'm having a HTC 7 Mozart & I live in Malaysia but I still can't find the HTC Sound Enhancer on the Marketplace eventhough i changed my region. I tried many methods including XSI's xap. file & others. Are they any other solutions?

Just out of curiousity, has anyone tested deploying this enhancer on Samsung Omnia 7 or Focus?

It's probably not actually the audio chip, it's the driver. The chip might even be the same, but without the driver interface the app can't actually control the chip's behavior.
@mrkillah: I guarantee you it won't work. I mean, you're welcome to try, but the app isn't going to be able to do anything. You guys are asking if installing the nVidia Control Panel on a Windows box that doesn't have any nVidia display drivers will let you adjust anti-aliasing. No, it won't - computers don't work that way. The Sound Enhancer app isn't magical - it needs to talk to a system component that is only present on HTC phones before it can do anything for you.

Just got to 7.10.8783.12 on 4th try.....I'm outta patience....will try the final frontier some time later....

its carrier dependant, if you have interop unlock look for a program called winTT, there's a switch t enable WiFi tethering

Hahah I took an hr finding why cant I force update. In the end , it was wifi problem. It must be disable instead of switched off(for me)
In the end. I took 3 tries for all 3 update(1 try. 1 update)
Pretty smooth , no lag. More stable than wp7.5.

I update with the trick of disconnection. There are three update in all.until 136.

Haven't seen this mentioned here. It's been confirmed on Twitter that the Nokia 8 will get ARCore support and face unlock.
No ETA yet, but it's really cool to see the continued support for Nokia OG flagship :good:

Next year this update will come or not.... They promise other things and nothing comes....

I don't really think they did. They did, however, promise to look into it at some unspecified time while making clear it's not a top priority: Twitter thread. It's probably even less of a priority for them now.

Phone has been out for 10 months, receives regular updates on time so who cares about unlocked bootloader..? And if it's so important to you why did you even buy it without making sure it can be unlocked at first. Typical XDA whine...

Has also got me out of the continuous wipe, flash and setup routine. Liberating. Just hope Nokia at least decide to support development when they stop.

Firstly, How long do you thing you'll recieve regular updates? HMD almost have started abandoning their first flagship.
Secondly, when the phone was released, who knew that hmd will not be providing support for unlocking bootloader. Everyone bought it with a hope and love for Nokia brand

But the face unlock is already in the security settings. Just active the trust factor for Google Smart Lock and you've got the last option on Smart Lock list which is face unlock.

Disable SmartLock, restart the phone and enable it back again. It should do the work.
