Which phone should I choose? - General Questions and Answers

Hey!
I would like to hear your opinions on this one. Should I get a ZTE Grand X or a Sony Ericcson Arc S?
Thanks in advance!

Arc S - ICS and lots of Roms or wait for TX which is similar to arc but upgraded

Based on specs the ZTE is better in every way except camera resolution. If I were you, I would go with the ZTE hands down.

What's the point in spamming the 10 posts?

hi all. i''m lookink to buy a good android phone and my options for now are the xperia arc s and the optimus 2x. which one do you recommend me? the 2x is more expensive but its dual-core. does it really make a diffrence? is a 1ghz dualcore much faster than a 1.4ghz single core? share your thoughts and experience about these phones. also you can recommend me another phone (i would buy the s2 but its a bit expensive). maybe optimus black?. i dont know if this is the right section. i'm waiting for answers.
best regards!

Judging by your suggestions you're not going for the top of the range, top price phone.
I'd recommend the Experia Arc S. It's an all around good phone and you can easily "upgrade" to CM9 if you want a newer os.

Need help with Android phone recommendation.

Hey-
Could anyone recommend a unlocked GSM Android phone that has decent specs and sells for $150 or less on Amazon? I don't really care about the brand, size, new/used, or anything like that, but it MUST be able to run at least ICS. (An official update would be preferred, but I have no problem installing something like Cyanogenmod if I need to). I have tried browsing around, but I got kind of overwhelmed with all the different choices. So I thought, why not ask the more knowledgeable people here about finding a good one? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
wws12

Motorola Atrix 4G. There is no official ICS, but our great XDA development community has it running CM9 and CM10 with relative ease. Official ICS is coming in this fiscal quarter according to Motorola. It's still my daily device. After two years of everyday use and a hefty amount of ROM flashing, it still runs like a champ.

Well if size doesn't matter then Xperia Mini st15i
Xperia Mini pro
are some of the devices running official ics with decent specs
But if you good hardware then Motorola defy +...
Don't forget to thank if you find it helpful
The Moto Matrix and Defy look pretty similar, are they the same base but different names?

Liquid Glow
I just bought the Acer Liquid Glow for its low price €179 and decent specs running stock ICS and the phone is great imo.
Think you should take a loot at it.
A bit of a downside, there is only one custom rom available for the moment..

There is a thread for device forum requests;-
**DEVICE SUGGESTION THREAD** -- Not sure what device to buy? Ask here!
Although the likelihood is that you will get no development on such a cheap device as it will have a relatively small user-base and isn't powerful enough to do anything clever with it.

Thanks for providing link. But i don agree with u that cheap phone means that it does not have a huge user base. In fact this phone has the highest userbase because maximum people have tasted android via Galaxy Y and Galaxy Pocket. Hope u don mind all that. Thnx once again for ur valueable feedback.

Lightest weighing android phones

Hi I'm trying to find a phone to suit me.
170g + is just too heavy - feels like a brick in the trouser pocket.
Can anyone recommend a phone 140g or less? Or else is there a site where I can search for phones by weight and other specifications?
thanks
