hangs at HTC white screen and can't be detected - HTC Sensation

Hello Geeks
I have rooted my htc sensation last night and Flash CWM Recovery HBoot 1.27.0000.
I managed to root and installed superuser. After i installed a new font installer apk, the problem started.
I reboot my htc after installed it and it stuck at HTC (Quitly Briliiant) screen.
and I tried several times removed battery and put it back. it can't solve the problem.
I can access to Hboot, and i see Fastboot, Recovery, Factory reset, SImlock, IMaGe CRC,
i tried to recovery, it hangs, samething to Factory reset, (didn't try simlock) and Image crc work fine.
And another problem is after i unplug the phone from usb or wall charger, the red light is still on.
i have no idea what to do.
HOPE can someone here help me with something?
thanks in advance.
(will post more detail if someone needs it)

Perhaps you would like to try and re-flash the CWM Recovery again? If you can't access recovery, most likely your CWM Recovery is corrupted.

what if the phone can't be detected by pc? i can't connect to pc via usb last ngiht.

can you boot into bootloader?

yes. i can go into bootloader

from bootloader you can flash the recovery
jus connect the phone from bootloader to pc (phone reads fastboot usb after this)
get the recovery.img and copy it to your adb/fastboot folder
then open command window there
and type this command
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
that should give you the recovery ....then go to recovery and reflash the rom

let me try and get back to u, sorry for late reply, just back from work
btw, how do i get recovery.img file ? sorry for noob q
i m kind of newbie to rooting and those stuffs

i managed to recovery. what's the next step? install custom ROM? and how to please?

if you are S-ON then follow this thread to install a rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861
don't forget to superwipe first before install a rom and also enable smartflash if you have 4ext recovery installed
if not then i suggest to install that recovery

i don't think it is a battery issue.maybe a corrupted file(or it is an old link)
follow the steps from the guide and report results
best wishes

i managed to install 4EXT and i installed custom ROM (MIUI-PyroMod-Pyramid-V1.1.zip).
Now i saw my phone is rebooting again and again, is it normal?

i assume you are S-ON
if yes then do extra 1 from the same guide(flash boot.img)

use inbuilt wipe feature in 4EXT
4EXT -> wipe | format -> format all partitions except sdcard

i have an error msg, installation aborted!
sd card/ folder name/ Android_Revolution_HD-One_X_EB-2.zip..

So I realize I did something stupid and I'm hoping I can fix it. I was in the process of rooting and installing a new ROM on my brothers phone. I made it S-off, and I didn't want clockwork recovery so I just skipped that. I updated the firmware so I can put an ICS ROM on it and now it's stuck in a bootloop I would imagine because there is no recovery on there. Can I fix this somehow? How do I install a Recovery when I don't have a recovery?
Thanks

you can install recovery from bootloader/fastboot and then rom from the recovery
here follow the post #2 from this guide to do that
What about download mode aka odin mode

download mode is not required for HTC phones.. we can flash stuff from bootloader
to go to bootloader
power off phone then remove battery ,reinsert it ..then hold power + volume down button ..will take you to bootloader ..there you can flash the recovery ..and a lot

So I downloaded the pg58img file and put it on the root of my SD card. went into bootloader and it saw the file but for some reason didn't give me the option to install anything. Any idea why or what I did wrong?

No. RUU is a last option.
This is way too simple for that.

Just need to flash a recovery; preferably 4ext. (only step 2 from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25587345)
Then nandroid backup from recovery (main menu of 4ext > Backup | Restore > Backup)
Then put an ICS ROM on SD Card using the Toggle USB Storage" option (main menu of 4ext > Toggle USB Storage)
Then format all partitions except SD Card from recovery (main menu of 4ext > Format | Wipe > Format all partitions (except SD Card) )
Then flash the ICS ROM from the recovery (main menu of 4ext > Install zip > Choose zip from SD Card).
Simple as that.

Don't worry mate! I also had the same issue with some KitKat ROMs. That's normal.
quite simple solution is: Go to Recovery and Flash another ROM! that's it.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I've been pulling my hair out with the same issue as well when trying to install 4.4.2 roms. stuck at the HTC screen. I have tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540521 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2623494. The only one that works is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2530073.
I am S-OFF with 3.33.
Any help would be appreciated.
try to wipe all data info (cache , partition and dalvik) than install ROM and gapps, should be fine, remember to perform it with fully charged battery, and i dont think i have to mention that you would do backup ? (when you get working ROM you might use nandroid software to create COMPLETE backup of your system - including ROM, so if something goes wrong , you can restore everything), hope that helps

I have done what you said but no luck i.e. wipe cache and dalvik and with fully charged battery.. I have a nandroid back up so that's what I have been going back to every time the rom has not been installing.

This is what I don't understand. when doing all the usual wiping steps (including formal all partitions). I also used the boot.img from the rom but no luck. question, at what point, should I be flashing the boot.img? wipe steps, flash rom, flash gapps and then boot.img via fastboot?

[q] windows 8.1 htc sensation xe assistance.

Dear XDA members,
I was using the revelation ROM Jelly bean 4.1 when I decided to backup my ROM using rom manager. This led the rom to somehow being corrupted. Thus I wiped the ROM and installed Sultans Kitkat ROM. My device S-ON but has an unlocked bootloader. So i formatted and flashed the new rom but when i connected it to my computer to fastboot flash boot the boot.img my device was not being recognized.
This is because my Laptop was upgraded from win 7 to 8.1 via a full clean installation thus deleting my fastboot adb drivers and the sensation drivers.
I have managed to install the adb drivers but whenever i connect the sensation it is not being recognised. Can someone please assist me as the device can't boot without flashing the boot.img.
Thanks!!

Hi,
I had this issue as well. I resolved it by installing this fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2917929 . Try that, reboot and see if it works. If not, report back here. Also, try using USB 2.0 instead of 3.0.
Apparently the said update is already installed on my computer. I have tried both USB 2.0 and 3.0

Hi, how did you flash your new rom ? Using your computer with adb tools ?
Then try to flash first the rom.zip (after a full wipe if coming from another rom), then flash boot.img (you must do that if your phone is s-on, you have to unzip rom.zip to you computer to find boot.img, place it in the same directory as rom.zip), after that it should boot.
