I was wondering if anyone knows how to have to game run better. I'm using the official JB OTA and Air kernel r1. Any help would really be appreciated.

don't use air, its not very game friendly, also try over clocking. clear ram before starting the game, especially background services, like facebook and things. force stop the app if necessary.

Go Home -> Settings - Manage Apps -> Running, then note down each app that is running.
Then go into the "All" tab, find those apps, and click on Force Close.
Then start Dead Trigger, it ran super smooth on my stock JB after I did the above.
I'm using matrix and FCing apps and it seems to be running better. Before it kept lagging at random moments.

I recently started using my 2G connection to save battery. Everything still loads pretty fast considering. XDA, Twitter, Tumblr, Browser (it's slower but still usable), I have yet to try more. Facebook is unusable. I was loading content for 5 minutes and got NOTHING. Is anyone else having this issue with Edge + FB?

Hahaha. I was just about to post the same thing. FB app sucks. Opera mini and FB FTW when on Edge speeds.

try changing the launcher, some launchers are really unique and give you a brand new feel of your phone, TSF Shell stands out for me

So my Nexus S upgraded to 4.1.1 this morning via OTA. JB is good and all, but I can't seem to find/enable the option for Offline Voice Typing?
Was it cut by Google? (just like Face Unlock) or its just me?
Btw, my language and inputs are all in English (US)
It is not in the ota. The reason? Don't know. I posted a thread yesterday in general that got locked my mod that has some screen shots of the voice settings on the nexus s / the 7 and the Xoom.

As the title implies, does anyone else have the stock wallpapers looking washed out? Is this common, or just me?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
its because of the color profile in android, makes everything look washed out
use a JB kernel with voodoo color/ download Voodoo Sound from app store/ lower gamma setting from app and it will look much better
Did something change going from ics to jb to make this worse? I remember the whole color profile change with gb, but it just seems much worse.

GB's colors looked better to me, probably just my mind playing tricks on me... It doesn't help that I spoiled myself with really nice voodoo colors...

The "washed out colour" in ICS and JB is not so much the screen of the phone, it is a design choice. The wallpapers are meant to not be extremely vibrant and colourful because it was designed to add a flare to the phone whilst keeping the focus on the homescreen. Same to the boot animations. Most designers such as myself use the washed out look to give a certain appeal. I highly doubt that it was coded to make the screen more washed out.
Hi people, can somebody point me in the direction of an ics rom that has the brightness slider in the drop down bar, many thanks.
as in the toggle, not like cm where you drag your finger along the taskbar.
