HSPA+ Speeds - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

With all the talk about cities lighting up with LTE, I just wanted to show what AT&T's HSPA+ network can do. Granted this test was done at 3am. Just last summer my area was still on EDGE. Also note that I only have two bars in my house.

Better than me... fastest I ever got was 4.4 Mbps... average is about 3.5

That's a little better than what I'm getting at Mich tech by Jim's. I get 6mbps down.It might be better late night but I've never seen 10mbps.
Spring break 2011 we got 1mbps 3g on AT&T.
Where'd you do the speed test?

I'm in Marquette. Hopefully we get lte soon, but until then I can live with hspa. I don't normally get 10, but I get 5-6 on a regular basis.

We were upgraded for 3G to Faux G over a year ago, but I still see 3Mbps at most. They have announced we will have LTE before year end.

[Q] ATT Nexus S. Is it 4G?

It will do HSPA/HSPA+ up to 7.2 Mbps, that's it. Newer GSM devices will do HSPA+ to 14.4 or 21 Mbps - these are the devices touted as "4G" by T-mobile and AT&T.
So, under that definition, no it is not a 4G phone.
The Nexus S 4G is a 4G phone in the sense that it has a WiMax radio for Sprint's 4G network.
Personally I see better speeds on AT&T's and T-Mobile's HSPA networks (2.5-3.5 Mbps on average) using the Nexus S than I did on Sprint's WiMax network (1.5-2.5 Mbps on average) around Chicago for what it's worth.
The AT&T version its NOT 4G. If someone told you that they were either mistaken our dishonest.

I don't think NS will do HSPA+
HSPA alone yes but not HSPS+
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
the ns wont do HSPA+, but will do HSPA. the att nexus s isnt 4g. but, that said, my tmobile nexus s will reach speeds that many 4g devices wont see, heres a speedtest from where i work in rego park queens, nyc. i average between 4-6.5mbps there usually. not 4g but pretty damn fast

LTE tampa/St Pete FL

Just noticed the LTE symbol on my phone tonight. Only 1bar so it may just be some testing. Speed was 14 down 6 up. Awesome...

Timing is right. I was at compusa around Christmas time, talking with the manager of the phone dept. He told me their att rep said lte would come online around February.

So that I'll be prepared when it reaches my town, what does the LTE icon look like?

A word of advice those speed test eat through a lot of data. I know when LTE came on in LA I was testing my speeds every
20 minutes and burned through about 600mb in a day. Once I stopped I went back down to my average 60mb.

Thx alot,
Aryeh

I don't actually know if this 3G speed is good, but I think it's not a good one.. Look here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085025
In the RIL/Radio section, there is a link to all radios and ril to flash ! Download GETRIL to see which one are matching!

My ril was matching so i switched to an inmatching ril and i get 4mbps instead of 2

Well it's not fast - but in rural/suburban areas with less coverage, this speed is still OK. (In other words, yes it is a normal 3G speed.)

Pretty pointless posting a 4G speedtest result when the OP has a 3G phone eh?

Note 5 Internet speeds

One reason I'm loving this Note 5 over the Iphone 6 Plus that I just sold is the Internet speeds. Damn I'm in the gym and before I could barely get 5 mbps and now I'm pulling over 40. Whoa I think I'm on band 12 I guess but wow. Can't go back now. Lol.

That's what I get off peak. This is the best I got but I average around 80s unless it peak hours then it drops to 40s.

Lack of band 12 in the iPhone is not good for T-Mobile. I convinced my wife to switch over from AT&T but her speeds and reliability don't compare to mine at all. Hopefully the 6S fixes this issue.

LG V10 ALL VARIANTS -> CANADIAN Wireless Carriers and Mobile Network compatibility

For the Canadians folks willing to get the LG V10 like myself, I put together all the LG V10 variants and carriers+network compatibilities in this table/picture attached.
I hope it will help!
I got the H961N from expansys.ca and it works like a charm with Rogers. I love this phone so much! I just wish LG would allow us Canadians to participate in their promo they had.

seems that Rogers deploys LTE band 7 (2600 MHz), Bell and Telus don't. HOw fast is your LTE connection? I went to a Rogers store to try their sim card, and I got the LTE connection, but only 3Mbps, really, my 3G from bell delivers 10Mbps.
I just did a speedtest :
37 ms ping, 112 Mb DL, 41 Mb UL
