Is there a way to extract the clock/weather widget from system/app folder?
Anyone would share it?
I also downloaded the system dump and I've been trying to find it myself with no luck.

Hrm.. Well it's the only one that made sense to me. Do you have an idea of what you want, or do you just want me to ls -l /system/app?

I want the widget that is on the home screen I'm still trying every apk in the system dump I downloaded that makes sense to me with no luck.
I guess is somehow embeded inside another app.

Nobody knows where I can find a regular clear lockscreen?
as far as I know so far no one has been able to get a clear screen going for the 2.1 roms

You can just delete the png image in the htcresoures.apk and the PNG in the lockscreen.apk should work. I did it on flips rom and it worked.

when I looked into it on DC it looked like everything was jpg not png I guess maybe its just DC that we cant get it going then.

dude cubz if you have it working on DC and have the files handy, could you please point me to them or send them to me I dont care about an flashable zip I just want the files. ill push em myself.

Works on Flipz 2.0b2 and Damages roms did not test on Flipz 2.0b.
ok chubz need a little more help, I flashed the zip and it got rid of the bar but I cant seem to figure out how to clear out the cached lockscreen. and pointers

Don't know what mean by clear the cached lockscreen. All I did was install and everything was fine didn't have to do anything else.

I set a lockscreen and when I flashed the zip you posted it cleared the bar off the lockscreen but the image I set is still there.

exactly what I want no background but I actually wouldnt mind the bar just want a clear background.
Anyone have any luck porting this over yet? I'd love to have it.
hopefully they will have this ported. Been searching for this.

Awesome! I'm new to Android (First smartphone here) but that doesn't work. I tried installing with AppInstaller and adjusted my phone settings to install apps not in the market.
No dice. It starts up like it is going to install, then says "Authorization Failed".
Could it be for a different build only?

oh man so so close! I actually get to the point where its about to install, and then I get "Application not Installed" with the yellow exclamation point next to it. It even shows the newspaper icon! A little digging around, and some random posts suggest it has to do with 'application signing'.
Know anything about this?
Yea, you need superuser (root) access.
Hope you don't mind Gimpeh but I posted the apk on a few other sites to see if anyone else can do something with it. If they are able to get it working I will re-post it here most definitly.

Is the apk de-odexed? I.E., when you open the apk, is there a classes.dex in there?

Yep. Can you help? I tried installing via ADB in the SDK, but still no dice. I also tried signing the APK with a debugging key, and again, no dice.
Apk / screenie below. Just push it to /system/app.

I am looking for the location and alarm. Ask a mod to maybe grab first post for you and add them there, or start a new thread.

Yeah did one with no alarm and no location (gps) is already built into that services.jar.

I know GO Launcher would allow the icon to be changed, I'm sure ADW does too. Not sure about renaming though.
