Icon help/knowledge? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Just wondering if this is possible or not... if I downloaded an icon pack from xda or website, is there any way I can get them in the holo launcher theme pack setting? Where are the icon png’s stored in the filesystem?
Sent from my One X using xda premium

Check in Launcher settings and see if the pack shows up. If you could be more specific on which icon pack I could help a little more.

Sorry but this is the only way I can get them to you.. I'm away from my comp lol. I know I can use desktop visualizer, but it always causes problems for me... and I was wondering if I can get the theme pack inside holo launcher... I can't find where the icon pngs are inside the file system. I really liked how viperxl included them in the app drawer also... I'm using dirty rom

That's Ok. I downloaded them. Nice icons. Unfortunately, they can not be added as a 'supported icon pack' for HoloLauncher. However...
Its a bit of a time consuming 'however'..
What you need to do is locate and unzip the icon pack.

You will usually find the file downloaded inside of your 'sdcard/download'....
Use some sort of file explorer to locate the file. Unzip/Extract it. If you like to move it to your own subdirectory, do so now.
I keep mine on extsdcard (I'm on Galaxy S3)
Once they are somewhere you can locate them, you must press and hold the icon of choice, in HoloLauncher. A small popup appears. Press' Edit'.
Next the icon will pop up allowing you to edit the name. Tap on the icon and press 'Select Picture'. Choose whatever file browser you use to navigate to the icon of choice from the directory of which you unzipped.
You will have to do this for each icon. From what I understand Apex, GoLauncher, ADW themes work as Icon Packs. Where you are able to theme out all icons at once. (from Launcher Setting, Appearance Settings, Icon Pack) If you need a little more elaboration, let me know.
I use ES File Explorer BTW. (in the market)

Just something fun I whipped up... includes some basic iPhone icons i created from various screenshots of the iPhone 4 as well as a pretty nice iPhone-esque rain drops wallpaper.
Enjoy!

yes, it does require root.
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
Sorry guys, I should have been more clear. All this consists of is icons and a wallpaper. To achieve the "look" you need a few simple non-root programs such as better cut and folder organizer to change the icons. I also used adw launcher to get the iPhone styled app drawer and the dock you see in the screenshot.
Absolutely no root required!
I use ADW Launcher aslo but I cannot figure out for the life of me how you got 4 icons on the bottom like that. I mean the quick launch icons at the bottom.
you need to disable the page dots, then you are able to select the choice to add 2 more buttons in the place of the dots.
Excellent. I have it now...one more question...how do I replace the dialer? I have all the other icons replaced but when I go to create a new shortcut I do not see dialer as an app?

on the Incredible you will have to select new "Activity" in BetterCut and it is listed as Phone in there.
Excellen thanks. I found it under activities and it was called phone.
Cool work. Looks good...it was only a matter of time until someone wanted their incredible to look like an iPhone. Lol oh the irony! Because when you hold it...it gets reception
I did it just for fun... i switch between ADW.Launcher (my iPhone theme) and LauncherPro (My Android theme) just to switch it up. To be honest, when using the Android iPhone theme I always feel like that is how the iPhone OS should have been!
hey rocket man! do you have a page with all your icons?
all of the ones i ported are in the zip file. i'm thinking about making a "goodies" page on Grafixpressions.com where all of our fun stuff will be posted, but it may take me some time to set that up!

Wallpaper app

Which app could I use? I want to put 5-10 wallpapers to sd card and I want from then to changing on the wall ? Is there any app which supports that ? Sorry for bad English
If I'm reading this right... you want to know how to put wallpapers on your SD card?
- Where from? your PC? - just put them on there.. using file manager..
Then use the wallpaper picker to select them...
It seems that my response is too simple and that you haven't phrased your question well enough for me to answer properly?
I want ,just like in Windows 7 on PC, ti select 5 wallpapers and I want from them to change automatically in some time interval (30 sec)...
Such an app does excist in market. Infact i had it installed myself and it worked fine but after cleaning up i uninstalled it and i cant for the life of me remember what its called. Sorry. Check market though...its there somewhere
Download Dropbox...wicked app. Get whatever wallpapers you want and drag and drop to Dropbox, on your pc, and it goes on phone. Put it on your SD card and you can view with Astro File Manager. I have created a wallpaper file on Astro and copy all my wallpapers on this.
I understand what you mean now - You want an app which will create a slide show for your wallpaper.. I think I've seen something that does this but can't find it now. I'll re-post if it comes back to me.
This is the easiest way.
Install application called Wallr

Wallr will enable you to randomly change the Android wallpaper based on a image directory defined by the user.
Default Path: /sdcard/Wallpapers
Tip: To stop automatic change of wallpaper uncheck "Enable Timer".

I was using Wallr from the beginning (rooted & unrooted stage), didnt download application wallpapers and created my own folder and add directory for it. no problems. recently i disabled auto change and kept manual and add to task killer too. still works flawlessly.
Try an app called, Slide Show Paper. It costs $2 in the market
EDIT: It's a live wallpaper, so not available on our X10's until 2.1

Android icon pack request

Just wondering if anyone has the icon pack for the little androids holding up various icons. Preferably in a picture so I can just use it with launcher pro instead of having to flash it.

Now, can someone tell me how on Earth I change the icons for my apps to use some of these? I changed the default icon in messaging, vending, htccamera, and a 3rd party app with one of these icons. When I do, all the apps I changed the icons inside the apk don't show up and don't work. Thanks in advance!

You have to download a program like Desktop Visualizer from Market. After that...when pressing on a empty space for a widget...choose Widget> Desktop Visualizer (Small SS)>Select Icon (hopefully you unzip and put folder on the root of your SD)>Select Action>Label the Action (it should fill it in for you)
Hope this helps...I found that the small SS is the best for the Evo...changes the icon without distortion.
Those android icons are really really small.

i dont think you understand, i want to customize the icons on my screens, not on my dock, this didnt really help but thanks for your effort! anyone else?
You'll have to re-add all icons, but instead of dragging the shortcut from the app drawer to the screen hit menu>add>shortcut>applications. Pick the app, then it gives you the option to change the icon.

did you ever figure out how to do this i would like to do this on an old android phone i use as a music player

Got to be honest, I thought this was wrong, but hey, you can!
Btw, maybe try 'Folder Organizer' and then you drop short cuts to folders on your screen instead of app shortcuts.

OFFICIAL ICON PACKS THREAD
So I would like to open this thread to see what kind of icon packs you guys are using. This way more people are aware of the names and can get it for themselves.
So state the name, and give a screenshot of the icons (take a picture of your home screen or drawer). Link to it is optional.
Here's my current one.
Name - Tondo Premium

I usually use the stock icons. I was a fan of the ICS/JB icons, and I like the minor alterations in the Kit Kat icons. I still use stock icons on my Nexus 7. But recently I found the Minimalism icons by Team GFX Bandits, and I use them on my Nexus 5 now.

There's so many amazing icon/theme packs on the Play Store (and here on xda) that I'm constantly switching between them. My favourites at the moment are Nox, Influx, Tondo and Flato HD.
Here's a little screenshot of my main homescreen using Nova Launcher with Nox icons:
Probably a little busy for most folks but I love the mixture of colours

I use the stock icons for the most part. If the stock icons aren't HD, I use Tersus 2.0 icons and just replace an individual icon. Probably the best looking icons around.
