I'm now running PrimoS v4.1 but is Fallout V5.0 better?
Also does Fallout V5.0 has the Beats Audio integrated?
Thanks in advance.
Yes and yes.
primo is quite old now, the latest fallout has a custom kernel incorporated so you can overclock which makes it a slicker experience
Sywepd form my DsereiS
+1 on that.
I'm advancing to ICS/GB and not sure what roms are up to spec.
I've been on Endymoin for a while now and it's been great!
Basically looking for stock with some extras.
I agree with Ben. I am using Fallout V5 and OC the CPU a bit and it runs very smooth it's stable. Only issue I have run in too was my own user error
2nd it's off course too easy to test it yourself as making a ROM backup takes `10minutes. Restore the new ROM and find out yourself. That's the way I do it, because no other experience other then yourself is the best 1.
PS. CM10 is also sexy
I'm also using fallout 5.0 and I think this is the best rom for our device.
With the new kernel its much faster and feels lighter, and the great thing is: everything works! (great battery life btw)
CM 10 is definitely very sexy, but it's still pretty unstable as far as I understand from the thread, so i;m sticking with fallout for a while
Anyways, testing for urself is also in my opinion always the best way to find out which is best for you.
good luck
Fallout v5 is good, but when you scroll desktops there is distortion clock widget with the weather, today established CoolDroid v 7.0 with kernel Falloutl v1, all very smoothly and quickly works with a staff of settings of the CPU, but there is one significant for me bug - backlights are always ON.
You guys should definitely check this
But read the whole thread first

Fallout 5.0 hasnt been benchmarked here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1651197
Nevertheless even Fallout 3.0 performance seems better than PrimoS
Fallout V5.0 or CoolDroid Revolution v 7.0
Which is better ? I'm now running Fallout V5.0 but the battery lasts for no longer than 1 day, sometimes it goes really slow and I have some problems with Play Store...

Best firmware for my Nik Project X. I made a number of changes in it, replacing part of system applications, the kernel, added the latest version of Fallout Tweaks, slightly edited build.prop and the result is a fully working great firmware.
Special thanks to nikhil007mmus, lowveld for the source material.
In my opninion, if you combine virtuous infinity 1.35 beta with amidabuddha's tweaked kernel and if you set up the governors and schedulers well, then you get a rom what we could call 'almost perfect' But, if you can live without the sense 4 recent apps and the virtuous tweaks Fallout is definitely faster
For me, Endymion is the best as I've almost tried all Sense base roms here but I keep on going back to Endymion....
Fallout V5.0
Personally I'm using fallout v 5.0 and it seems to be working great so far.
I'm using it as a daily driver and have run into no issues so far.
Hope to see a version with jelly bean out soon
The new Paranoid Android v2.14 is very nice, after i flashed the 77n Kernel, no battery drain, works fast and looks great. I love it !

First of all, Thanks to all HTC Sensation's Rom developers. We have quite a few. HTC Sensation is as of now one of the most supported devices…kudos to them...It is really appreciated.
I am just tester that switched from iphone(got sick of it) to Android about 1-1/2 to 2 years ago. I started with the amazing HTC HD2, then HTC Desire Z(t-mobile G2), T-Mobile LG-2X, and now the powerful HTC Sensation.
I have always looked for the best battery developed rom offered. For example on HTC HD2 , I could not find any better than Hyperdroid from pongster, or Virtuous on G2, Eagleblood on LG2X. These are just my modest opinion
I have tried about 10 different ROMs on my Sensation and so far the best I have found battery wise is Insertcoin….(as I said it is just my opinion). Insertcoin is fine and 40 to 50 % better compared to stock, but it does not compare to the battery life I was getting from Hyperdriodv11 from pongster (which with normal use lasted 1 1/2 to 2 days, on heavy use lasted the entire day). INSERTCOIN give a good 14 to 16 hours (normal use) which I cannot complaint about it, but o when I have heavy use I need to charge it at least once or twice a day.
I have only one Sensation and I have tested quite a few roms but no all. There are about 30 to 40 out there. I am posting 33, sorry if a miss others. I have tested quite a few so far would like to share my experiences, but I would also like other member opinions which may help me and others to make their best pick.
This a bashing or a pissing contest..it is just your opinion please be gently
I will appreciate your inputs.
Thanks

Too bad this poll hasn't gotten a larger voting result. I would love to see the poll with votes in the hundreds.
You forgot CM7 alpha 7.... ive tried a couple different roms and lees and mikes dont compare to CM7.
Not all SOCs are created equal
I have tried the following ROMs so far and have monitored battery usage on them with the Current Widget and logs.
1. ARHD 4.1.6
2. InsertCoin 3.4.4
3. Reverted AOSP
4. MIUI.us Latest
My best battery usage (lowest under 10Ma) is with InsertCoin's ROM. The other ROMs showed heavy battery drain(even without any other apps except stock), particularly with ARHD and Reverted AOSP. ARHD and AOSP use custom kernels unlike InsertCoin which uses stock by default. I don't however think the problem is with the ROM or Kernels. My phone SOC just cant seem to handle undervolting or any other kernel mods very well.
I love InsertCoin. VERY useful additions/changes from stock. I also love the speed on ARHD. Tough decision between the two but the battery life was the clincher so sticking with InsertCoin for now. I love the simplicity of MIUI but too many FCs at the moment. InsertCoin has been the most dependable ROM for my phone.
I am also going to try ARHD with some other kernels and see how that works.
Like I said, not all SOCs are created equal so mileage WILL vary. This poll is at best some kind of starting point for the battery conscious.
IMAO, CM7 is awesome, more than 1 day with medium use !

I've been using ARHD for about 2 weeks now and battery has been absolutely horrible. I cant seem to get more than 4 1/2 hours without getting to 25%. I'm going to try InsertCoin next. Can't wait for the ICS version on CM though!

Hi,
i recently bought a sensation and have rooted it
i need a good stable rom, nothing much fancy but fast
i have narrowed it down to two choices
Andriod Develpment HD 3.1.1
or
RCMix 234 v2.1
cause itll take ages for me to set the data up i need a stable one.
also i dont understand the CPU area of the two rooms
Andriod Develpment HD 3.1.1 says the cpu is controlled by O/C demon, is that both cpus are working together at screen on or just one.
RCMix 234 says that both cpus are on when screen is on and one is on when screen is off, nothing about O/C or anything.
both sound stable from the comments
any comments to clear this up would be great.
I used Android Revolution since 3.x.x and it was always fast and stable with good support. Bugs were fixed very fast because of the big community of this rom. At the moment I'm using Cm7 alpha but if I would go back to Sense I will choose ARHD again.
last ROM i had was 3.1.1 so I have no experience with 3.5.0
Well i think that Leedroid has a very stable and smooth rom that you can try out too. Been using Leedroid since i've rooted and am very pleased with it.

thanks for the replies
any idea on how the cpus work for each roms ?
im wondering if the ANHD rom is using both cpus at the same time and not when needed
I really think you should go with Android Revolution HD 3.1.1 i use it and its perfect its not that fancy but you can customize and add battery mods and stuff plus its really fast!!

CPU usage depends on the kernel except you use the dual core script by mike.
Faux kernel @ 1,67 works for me best with mikes ROM.
gone with andriod development hd 3.1.1
still setting it up, its taking soo long setting it up right.
ssh etc etc etc
anyway will extended quick setting from the insertcion rom work with this or does anyone know where i can find one for this rom ?
thats the last thing i need i think
The extendet quick settings from ARHD 2.x.x also working on 3.x.x.
You will find them in the second post of mikes thread under custom modifications.
I recommend InsertCoin 2.2.5 SSE, which is the fastest, most stable Sense-based Sensation rom I have used. Not flashy, a little eye candy with the CRT on and off animation being standard, but otherwise things are add-ons.
The others are good choices too, though. Can't really go wrong with either of them.
thanks everyone
I'm setting up android development hd 3.1.1 currently , its talking forever
today I see 3.5.1 is out :-(
prob wait for kernels 1.6 final rather than the beta then I may upgrade again
Use Sense until CM7 is out of alpha.
well I've gone with android development hd 3.1.1
just about finished with the apps and the passwords
prob stick with this as I don't listen to music much
shame sshdriod didn't start up, its cause of the adblocking
I had to use a different ssh
Done finally

Endymion is the superior rom.
You dont need overclocking with this one even for demanding performance. While with other sense 3.5 roms out there overclocking is an absolute essential even for something like a lag free rosie... There goes battery life out the window.
Anyway, what kind of battery do you expect with 2 ghz oc ? Plus there are known kernel problems there.
Also how long would you expect to keep your phone alive keeping it overclocked like that...?
There is nothing out there with sense 3.5 that is even remotely in Endymion's league.
However, I do acknowledge that opinions are always subjective and everybody is entitled to their own.
So I'd suggest you flash both roms and try them out for yourself.
Firstly, you will get a first hand picture of which one is better...
And secondly it doesn't cost you anything except some time...
Which again is the least you can put in to try out two of the best 3.5 roms for your phone designed by Devs using their valuable time and yet offered to you absolutely free of charge.!
Hope this helped. Cheers.

I'm sorry but IMO the ability to OC to a higher degree isn't a benefit, OC your simply means burning more battery and simply shorten battery life. Anything over 1.5Ghz has been demonstrated and discussed many times to be dangerous for any prolonged periods unless you are intending to use your device as a form of central heating.
Using Nandroid Backup you should be able to install and run both ROMS alongside one another as well as keep the ROM that you're currently on all in case you choose to return to that....if you do please post back your findings and comparisons.
Has established Endymion 1.1? But sound improvement (Beats) does not work. How to treat? Excuse for my English.
I've only tested Endymion 1.1 for 2 days now and i'ts really good.
I've O/C my phone @ 1228mhz via SetCpu and it's very fluid and fairly battery eating.
I can't do anything but advise you this rom, very good stuff for me, but i don't have anything to compare on this device...

Using runnymede with stock kernel no lags but battery drains :\
Runnymede is perfect for me. Speedy without OC, but I did it anyway. No bugs and battery last 2-3 hours longer than my stock 2.3 with Sense 2.1.

Runnymede better u can trust it
Thanks all for ALL the information,, REALLY helpful!!
but i think i'll stick to Runny,, and now they are updating to v3.2 and it has some good tweaks!

✔ Fixed Honeycomb lockscreen text bug
✔ Tweaks - Volume Key Screen On
✔ Tweaks - 5x5 Appdrawer
✔ Tweaks - Hide Navbar Text
✔ Tweaks - Volume Key Camera Shutter Button
✔ Fixed distortion for HTC videoplayer 720p playback
✔ rom manager support
Hi I've a question. Do I need the latest h boot to run endymion or runnymede? When I ran proxuser's ota 2.3.5 rom I kept getting bootloops. Or is this due to the hyperion kernel?

Hi guys I have gone from one ROM to another all professing to be the smoothest or most stable but all have left some what of a bitter taste in my mouth. My current ROM seems to be the most stable and have all the basic modcons working AndroidHD v1.0 | ICS
So I’m on a UK I9020 and I’m like preferably ICS over GB and main important points to consider for me would be
Battery Life, Stable, and Fast,
I am a bit of a power user but the ROM don’t have to have to many mods or sparkles just need something that doesn’t reboot at least twice a day and gives me battery life for 12 hours plus with fair use of apps and internet.
Please help at the end of my tether
yeah i'm in the same spot...i have been trying some ics roms and many claim "fast & stable & rock solid & butter smooth" etc
But they dont feel that way to me...i really like ics but i think its still slowish. GB is way faster.
Currently on codenameandroid 1.2.0 with matr1x 15.5 cfs
Come on guys don't all hide now lol, need your applied knowledge. Some one must have some thing they can recommend
try AndroidMe 1.1.0 not a single issue for me ,when on others ics roms i had fcs and reboots.
battery life around 16h with 3h of 3g and 3h screen on with brightness set at 68%.
CM 9 1.1 has been stable and brutally fast, better than stock IMHO. Only thing missing is FB sync.

Only thing thats kept me from CM roms is the worry that apps wont work with them, what sort of uptime do you get?
kangy v10 or AOKP milestone 3, damn good , with Matr1x kernel.
smooth , stable , battery friendly
im using the last cm9 kang with a bare boned(no mods added) trinity kernel, not a single stutter or speed bumbs. fast, stable, and everything works.
Now I'm using CyberGR-MOD|NS.NGN ICS v.5 HYBRID+Matr1x 14.5CFS, well, as far as I can tell, it is quite stable and battery is not draining so fast.
Try some roms with AOSP tags, these roms have less modifications and mods, and maybe have a better better performance.

just tried a few roms. sorry to say that the stock rom is the best, so far.
Stock is stable, but a bit slow. but the slow problem is same in other custom roms.
I don't have the problem of battery drain.
Downloading 4.0.4 rom ported from NS4G. Hope it fix the speed problem.
Don't want to use 2.3 anymore, though 2.3 is fast and stable
I tried these custom roms -
Mv 2.1.27, 2.1.28(cm9) lots of added features, but less stable than stock
Miui - although I am a Chinese, don't like this Chinese rom.
Slow. Don't know the cause. Rom still in alpha? Or wasting CPU power on beautiful ui?
Unfamiliar ui Is another problem. Not my cup of coffee

No reboots on stock kernel and CPU speed. Overall, I've found all ICS ROMs to be moe robust than gimgerbread, with very little issues.
I've tried loads of ROMs in the past year, and am currently happily using Reaper.
Reaper's very fast, but unfortunately does not support the microphone of the stock HTC headphones. Which turns out to be a problem for me.
So, I've started looking for a new ROM for daily usage.
- Stability. JB seems very cool (and I may flash it a few hours to check it), but too early for daily usage for me.
- Speed. No GUI lag (or very little) is a huge plus.
- Sense. I'm running AOSP now (Reaper) and only miss a few Sense (3.5) widgets and programs, but having these back is a plus. Not really required though, but nice. Not having kernel 3 source (yet) hinders development/tweaking.
- Active support. Not necessary if a ROM is bugfree ofc, but a big plus.
No, after checking the development forums I think I these ROMs may be what I would like:
I think I have plenty options, but do not enough time to try them all extensively, any suggestions on which on be try?
Speed + no bugs are the biggest pros for me. If it has sense, even better.
- CyanogenMod 9
- ICE_DS 4.1
- Fallout Evolution 4.4.0
- ... other?
If you're a sense person, then
Endymion
Or
Fallout
Pure source then
CM9
Or
aokp
Or
cm10 (although still had issues)
Sywepd form my DsereiS
I've run Endymion for quite a while, but the GUI lag got annoying in the end.
I fear that all Sense roms have this, all my sense experiences were laggy at some point. Or is there a rom tweaked so that the sense is not laggy at all?
CM9 is a serious option for me, but only after I've ruled out all current (actively maintained) sense roms
Speed, stable, sleek. Yes, you may go on with ICE DS.
Why? ICE DS is Sense Rom, which by its nature, it support greater hardware compatibality.
I've tried many Aokp or CM9 rom, they were great, but doesnt have that kind if durabality. ICE DS is one of the finest modded rom, which improves battery life. Even thou im using half dead battery, it stands in like 12 hours heavy usage ( most of the time Whatsapping and Tweeting for like 8 hours within that 12 hours, soft keyboard and touch vibrate, and vibrate silent mood ) .
Now let say about games, well im not that kind of more into phone gaming. No. I hate playing games on my phone. But, I've tried Tap Tap Revenge 4 on both sense and aokp/cm9. There are lots of difference between performance and others. Such as freezing, spiking, fc. Most games run better on Sense.
Well, Im not promoting this ICE DS. To be exact, im promoting Sense Rom. You can try fallout or others thou. And as what you asked for, here's my suggestion. Feel free to read other suggestions. Enjoy your saga boi!
