Hi everyone... I want to share this amazing method of rooting the Tipo. I'm not sure if this method required unlocked bootloader because mine was already unlocked when I tried.

Just choose 3) Other as an option in the application, write the password of your backup, leave the phone a few minutes to restart and the application to push the root inside the ICS and voila! YOUR DEVICE JUST GOT ROOTED.
ENJOY!

ROOT Sony XPERIA TIPO (ST21): at today Oct./06th/2012 ONLY THIS ONE WORKS!
My Sony XPERIA TIPO (ST21) with last version of system update by SONY site yesterday oct./5th/2012, works fine only with this program (ROOT):
hXXp://uploaded.net/file/9o4swxaa (flashtool-0.9.8.0-windows.exe 106,57 MB)
their homepage hXXp://androxyde.github.com/
Use option TOOLS -> ROOT -> Force AdbRestore hack (The last method in list - the only one that works!).
Take care that at the moment NO other system around works fine and fully to ROOT it!
Hurry up since SONY take the way to block also this one.
Do not forget to offer them at least a small beer (donate!)! Please let me underline that I am not in the junction with them, only I am happy that they find a system really works (for free!) and I would like to spread the solution around.
<------ FEW THANKS TO ME WILL BE VERY APRECIATED (SINCE I DO NOT HAVE ONE YET)
PS: If I have to explain what I mean with XX, I suggest instead to use a last generation Android phone to use this:

Hey buddy as I said earlier on phone you need not have android sdk to root your phone
First delete all the Sony software and drivers from your PC then connect your phone and just allow windows to recognize your phone and install all the drivers automatically (you need good internet speed for windows to successfully install the drivers)
Alternate :Install those drivers I gave you after deleting all Sony software and driver stuff
Cheers,

You can buy a JIG from ebay or make your own. there are tutorials about it. all you need is 1 usb cable to sacrifice and 3 100K resistors.

beside finding a service centre.anymore suggestions?
did you try recovery from firmware
Go to settings, power and turn the fastboot option off.
Then you should be able to go to bootloader using the power+vol thing
Also, you could go to developer, in settings, and enable the usb debug stuff
then try adb reboot bootloader
you can also search google for how to unlock bootloader you will get some ideas.
already tried..but stiil the same..when i get this phone.this phone is pre rooted.i cant even install cwm in it..i can only use stock recovery?

A note 2 clone? There's no development support so hope there's a service centre for clones.. Good luck.
If u are in stock recovery put the philz kernal+cwm match to your rom in the ext sd card and then choos the option update from the from sd card u will find philz + kernal zip select it.
It will help u I think
See the dr ketan thread of root and unroot.

If u brick your fon then it will cost u a lot.

If its showing custom recovery and in the home menu there is not super su app then its not rooted. But if there is a super su app its rooted. And its will be a rare case. And most of the Phil'z kernal are bootloop fixed. See this.

Take it to a service centre which offers Jtag. That is your only chance to get it working again. Flashing kernels wont do anything if your bootloader is messed up.

You can not flash any ROMs if your bootloader is messed up meaning it won't load any kernels and let alone a ROM. Recoveries are parts of the kernel or the TOM but since you can't use any of those you won't be able to use a recovery. I'm sorry but seems like you've hard bricked your phone, making it as useful as a paperweight.
for the bootloader part..i did not break..it come with this intact..

I updated my XJ and i see that multitasking is much better than before! The system is much smooth
wait untill the cache partition builds up
I have to say also that this update is so far much better.
Antutu is able to perform complete benchmarking (3D crashed and the result was 3000 and something), and the result is 4464. Much better than before. Also 2 or 3 more widgets, and I have nothing to complain so far... Only that there isn't yet a rooting method without unlocking bootloader.

In the meanwhile, can someone explain to me why with my X10 mini pro I had a smal ftf file (Kernel) and a large rom file, and the ftf for these phones is 400 MB?? I suspect this is not JUST the kernel... I think I saw small FTF files for this phone, and also these large files. Guess the large are for unlocked bootloaders, flash all at once...?
No OTA update this time?
Those small .ftf is custom made. The big ones, especially from update service blob_fs folder, contains all the stuff to flash. A clean, untouched, unrooted .ftf can be bigger than 400mb. Too bad, samsung users cant make their own odin files. Your x10mini rom might come with instructions like this: flash this .ftf via flash. Throw the .zip in microsd. Boot to cwm and flash the .zip. Thats why the .ftf is so small.

I had a bit of trouble uploading this, and I used a Mega account I have.
I think this is the proper way to share files publically.
https://mega.co.nz/#!CYAVWDzZ!IUb7R1S_QIsIKAtBHJgQtEAqAGsZeqEbIQeErlbYUow
And also in attachement is the log from my flashtool.
Is this it?
You can be the first ever to thank me.
I'm not breaking any laws here, am I...? I think these FTF files don't "suffer" from copyright issues...
I got the update too.
I just installed it and I'm waiting for it to finish!
Sadly it wasn't OTA which means I still can't root ICS and update OTA to this one .
Edit// Feels the same to me...I didn't have any problems with the lag before so it seems to move the same.
I would really like that someone found a rooting exploit for this fw. Missing my titanium explorer to remove All the crappy apps that come with the phone.

See if you have 2 or 3 more widgets with favorite contacts, and I think 3D is much better. Benchmark with antutu to verify that. I had 3000 and something befor, due to 3D. Now I have 4464.
What I really think is a flaw is the bottom led not lighting up with notifications, only if I put the screen on. I already have the app to solve that issue, but it should be embedd in the phone...

I don't understand your English properly, but I'll try to cooperate. Look if you want to 'update' like I said earlier, flash an ftf. (the latest version) it seems you've unlocked your bootloaders and I doubt you know how to relock it.

[ROOT][LB] Root For Xperia E3 D2202 With SuperSU Included (18.5.A.0.26)

Now i will share how to root Sony Xperia E3 D2202 with SuperSU included
This is very simple guide and work correctly with my devices
This is step for guide :
1. Download kingoroot.apk and try to get root with that app
Download
2. After root you will get app called "SuperUser" from kingoroot, it same like kinguser before
3. Next you will need to update binary SuperUser. and update it
4. After that you need to change binary from Kingoroot to SuperSU with this step
(link instruction : Link
- Download All requirement file from that link, like :
+ Replace kinguser with superuser.zip (Download
+ Download Android Emulator, you can find it on playstore
+ File manager
- after download extract replace_kinguser_with_superuser.zip to your internal storage and move folder called "nrw" inside .zip and move it to your internal storage
- after that open terminal emulator and execute this command :
Su
sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
- wait untill SuperSU app is launch and update binary from supersu. after that reboot your device
- after reboot, you need to disable Sony RIC service if you on locked bootloader
+follow this instruction from @forty two for his great job link thread
- after complete untill last step, and finish . you need to go to last step
- install root explorer or another root browser and go to system/app and search superuser from kingoroot and delete that app
- after that reboot it and done you have full root with supersu app inside
okay that's simple guide from me, if anyone have problem just ask me again.
this report work for D2202 and maybe will work on another type too

Hi, Just simple question, what to do next after root?, my current experience with this kind of things was with Mango ( xperia mini pro Sk 17), with that, after I did root and unlocked the bootloader, I can install kernel and custom room because there are lot of them are available for mango, but there are few available for the D2202 as long as I know.., so.., what to next after I root my E3 D2202?

Ya I know D2202 is not getting any modification or AOSP ROM. I'm just help anyone that want to root this device [emoji3]. If I, I will install xposed module, greenify and do some modification on system. Because this is full root method and you won't worry again about Sony RIC problem. Simple answer is enjoy full root on stock ROM

And I will try to make any mod that running on stock ROM and for D2202 series just like my primary device. Sony Xperia M C1905

Yes, just like what I said it . You can modify system, if you want to uninstall Sony bloatware app. I can suggest you to use Titanium Backup app. You can uninstall almost all system app, and that's safety for you

But, can you tell me what app that you want to uninstall it?

Yes, bootloop is full risk when you modified system. But this is best solution for who want root device without unlock bootloader and loose warranty

Bootloader Unlocking is not hard work for Our E3 and in E3 there is no bravia engine or image enhancement,So after unlocking bootloader we can't loose anything

yes, honestly i know about that . cause that i'm port x-reality to our E3 that work on locked bootloader. and this is not my primary device, this is my little brother device. so i don't want to make any big change cause i don't have full permission of this device .
my primary device is xperia m and that's on my development. this is full root method and i've include Sony RIC Killer inside to avoid bootloop when try to mount system partition
Thanks for your suggest

Try to follow my guide from step by step. I think that problem from supersume app that make your binary problem, try to follow my guide and using Sony RIC killer. If you find error just tell me again
