Tasker Tutorial: Set Music Cover as wallpaper while playback
Please note: This is my first tutorial, so please be patient with me
In this tutorial I'll show you, how to use tasker to set the cover of the currently played album as a wallpaper and change back to your normal wallpaper when playback stops.
Requirements:
Of course you need tasker and you have to bee rooted. Furthermore you need the Locale/Tasker execute-plugin Link.
You also need to have the cover of your music albums as a jpg called "cover.jpg" in the corresponding folder, otherwise it wont work (since i didn't figure out, how to extract the cover from the id-tag )
Tasks:
You need to create two tasks in tasker: one to load the cover and one to unload the cover. For those tasks you have to define some variables, which may interfere with variables, you allready set...if this is the case, rename them and you should be fine.
Creating the first task – load cover:
condition: variable set = %MTRACK
1. read line | file: songpath | to varibale: %TEMP
2. execute-plugin command: @! lsof -p $(pidof mediaserver) | grep -m 1 mp3 | awk '{print substr($0, index($0,$9))}' /sdcard/song

Creating the second task – unload cover:

Notes:
For me, this works fine most the time, but when I reboot my device and start playback, the wallpaper wont change, which seems to be a problem with the las entry in the mediaserver. If I chose another album, everything works fine again. If someone knows whats causing this or how to prevent this, I would appreaciate the help very much.
Recommendations: Depening on how fast the execution-plugin recieves SU-permissions, you might want to add some extra waiting time between the steps, otherwise you might get a EOF message and the cover won't load.
Tip: If you youse SuperSU, I would recommend you to disable notifications for the execute plugin after testing and setting things up, so those popups won't annoy your music listening.
Lockscreen: To archieve the look of the lockscreen on the right side of the picture, I used widgetlocker with minimalistic text and phantom music controls, which will only show up, when I touch them.

Background Info:
Ever since the OS 6.5.3 moved X to the lower right, we struggled to find an adequate replacement for the HTC Task Manager and its 'Close on X Tap' feature. I have solved the issue by combining 2 amazing applications developed here at XDA. For Tap/Minimize functionality, I have included AMeBa. For task switching, I have included ArkSwitch. Tapping X will close an application, and holding X will minimize it. To open ArkSwitch, tap the left half of the title bar.
Another known issue with WM6.5.x is ActiveSync constantly running even when you have no Exchange servers configured. The long accepted workaround was to create a dummy Exchange connection and set it to manual. However, there is a simpler way. Using the included DotFred Task Manager, bring up the Notifications list using the arrow on the right side of the screen. Scroll all the way down to where you see 3 entries for repllog.exe, and then scroll right so that you can see which one has AppRunAfterTimeChange listed under the Argument tab (it should be the second one.) Tap on the correct line and then tap the icon on the bottom row with a red dot to disable the notification. After a soft reset, ActiveSync will no longer run in the background unless you want it to.
These ROMs are configured for Verizon, but I do not see any reason why they would not work with other carriers once you modify the connection settings.
Finally, I, like most people, use Microsoft MyPhone for restoring contacts and SMS after a flash. I really like MyPhone, but it will not thread your messages correctly if restored with threading enabled. For this reason, threaded SMS is disabled on first boot, and can easily be re-enabled under Settings -> System.

use python 2.7, not the current/latest release 3.1, otherwise the script won't work (at least it did not on my pc )

I am not sure what "Wake with" function is supposed to do. I took it like, when the screen in black and phone is locked on pressing a checked button will light the screen up. Is this how is supposed to work? For me it doesn't.

Hi how should I map the camera key in the Kaiser...there are also a couple of other keys (the two close to the focus wheel in the top left side of the phone) not listen in the Kaiser part. One is the other "ok" and the other is the "search" key.. wich in winMo I don't know what it does.. I think is intended to chat or something (there is a comics ballon on it)...
I'm looking around for a method for find the keycode on android but I can't find any working solution..maybe you should quickly point me in the right direction.
Look the dmesg after pressing the key is not giving any answer.. -.-

I'm using HTC Diamond 2 with Android and want to remap "Power" and "End call" buttons. It is very natural to press Enc call after the conversation, but it is completely inconvenient to use it as power off... On the other hand, the top hardware button works as "Home" in Androd while it is designed to be "Power" as like on the original HTC Diamond and iPhone.
Is there any way to remap these keys functionalty in Android in a free way, say, to leave "End call" on the "End call" button, but move power off to top hardware "Power" button?
I'm new to Android, but a littlie familiar with linux, so I could edit config files if it is necessary. Thanks in advance!

My .keystore file become corrupted while trying to do a backup, so this means I can no longer update the version that is listed on Google Play. The only solution is to upload a new app which can be found HERE. If you want to keep receiving updates on PockeTab you need to uninstall your current version and get the new one. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, it's very frustrating for me as well.
PockeTab is a graphical guitar tab creator with a focus on being easy and intuitive to use without sacrificing features.
PockeTab really is in a pretty early development stage and many features are missing, but it *should* be stable and functional.
Feel free to give it a try and tell me what you think.
I don't really mind posting the apk here, though I would prefer using Play so i can get more info about what devices it's being installed to.
Just let me know if you have some sort of aversion to using Play store.

Here's a quick tutorial for PockeTab.
Usage should be fairly obvious, but since I replaced text with icons I thought this might come in handy.
Add - Create a new beat.
Remove - Delete last created beat.
Bar - Create a bar for timing (or anything you want).
Fret - Popup to select a fret.
Chord - Popup to select a chord that will be created in a new beat.
Menu - Opens the menu list.
Menu Contents:
Clear - Start fresh, clears the board.
Save - Saves an instance of your tab (overwrites any previous saves).
Load - Loads last saved tab.
Settings - Opens a preference screen.
Help - Opens a quick help screen.
Changelog - Shows you a link to this page.
Notes:
Since guitar tab is more of a pseudo-tablature it's hard to define some things within it. For the purpose of the app I'll refer to "beats".
In text tab below is what a 4 beat measure would look like with fret 1 being played on all strings the second beat.

All the apps named in this post especially for XIAOMI need to be set with auto start active and energy saving none .
Just go to settings, apps, manage apps, select the desired app and activate auto start, put power saving on no restrictions
HOW TO MAKE NETFLIX WORK ON THE RUNNING CAR
Launch Chrome on your pc.
Get files attached a this post and copy the frida and mirror.js files to the Android device memory.
On your Android device go to Google Play and install the Root Explorer .
Launch Root Explorer.
Copy the frida and mirror.js files to the / system / bin folder .
Press and hold your finger on the frida.
Tap the three dots icon at the top right and select Permissions .
Set the permissions as shown in the following photo and click Ok.
Launch Tasker and go to the Activities tab .
Create a new activity by tapping the + icon at the bottom right.
Choose a name for the activity and tap the check mark on the right.
Tap the + button at the bottom right and select Code .
Tap Run Shell .
In the Command field type frida -e -s /system/bin/mirror.js -n com.netflix.mediaclient
Check Use Root .
Tap the left arrow key at the top left to save your settings.
Go to Profiles and create a new profile by tapping the + button at the bottom right.
Choose a name for the profile and tap the check mark on the right.
Select Application .
Select the Netflix app .
Tap the left arrow in the top left to return to Profiles .
Tap the newly created profile and select the previously created activity.
Connect your phone to Android Auto.
Start AA Mirror.

Open the app, give all the required permissions, scroll the list to the bluethot item, open the item, click on disable.
If everything is ok now you can use the secondary phone for S2A and have the bluethoot channel free to use the main phone with the speakerphone, as you have always done.
FORCED ROTATION OF WORKING APP(e.g. NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME VIDEO etc)
Some apps appear vertically when opened and have no options for rotation.
Rotation with a specific app that requires permissions must be forced.

DELETE LOCK SCREEN for DIRECT START ON WORKING HOME
In the developer options (which I assume you already have active) activate skip the lock screen
This way you will no longer have the annoying vertical lock screen
SOLUTION FOR S2A DISAPPEARED FROM AA
Uninstall AA and install AA version 7.0.614104
Install or run LUCKY PATCHER.
find and Select screen2 auto
press and hold on screen2auto
Then click on clone app
After cloning it asks if you want to install the clone
Clik install clone
android auto screen2auto appears again.
Naturally you must reconfigure again screen2auto end android auto
