instead of the phrase "Its 5 O Clock somewhere" for the beer drinkers, we can use "Its 4:20 SOmewhere" and smoke haha...that would be good....but lets not put to much on the dev's plate...he is going to have enough to do without the extra apps.

well i have very good news!! i talked with an attorney over at NRML both Washington DC and California and was informed that what we all would like to see the app have is LEGAL to do. It is considered educational so the app would not break any laws. They said the same thing i said in the other thread its no different that the books you can buy at bookstores so now there should be no issues with these projects at all.
i would ask if you would like to contribute to these apps. i could use pics of different types of strains (label the strain with the pic if you do) so i dont copywrite anyone. PM me with that stuff

that sounds perfect. i think a veg/ flower pic so you get before and after of that strain would be perfect. i also would like to target optimal growth for certian strains in certain area's as i have notice some do better than others depending where you live.
on your breakdown should mention if its 1000 or 600 watt lighting also sq.ft. the main goal of the apps are to make things noob friendly so any first timer can have the results of a 20 year vet.

Alright, I will attach a list of all the strains I have which is ALOT, i have pics for all of them in bud, but not veg state....but will have to google strain by strain so it may take a bit but will have asap....
also the lighting aspect is great too, but besides the options of sodium vs. metal
HID and so forth, maybe we can add in other methods we may know, for instance a new method that is kinda low key is the use of T5 bulbs for veg. running two ballasts with two bulbs running 56watts at the cost of under $30 dollars in some area can reduce your energy bill by hundreds of dollars a month. Also it is more effective then sodium or HID even at 2k watts....it covers 10x10 areas per ballast...just a few things ive personally used and seen the difference in controlled state.
ok this is what i will do for each strain listed i provided.

Black Widow
Sativa / Indica
Origins - Brazilian sativa x South Indian hybrid
Flowering - 50-70 days
Harvest - Mid October
The counterpart to her White sibling, Black Widow derives from the same strain that has won a number of awards since the Widow was introduced in 1994. Widow vaieties have received kudos from around the globe, and rightly so. The widow strains have high natural THC levels, achieved through selective breeding.
Black Widow parted from her famous sister to follow her own color and genetic destiny with the establishment of Mr. Nice Seed Bank. She maintains the resin production that give the variety a white, cobwebbed look. Her name has encompassed the added intrigue of the famous female spider who devours her mate. Black Widow has a pungent, sweet scent with an acrid, ammonia overlay. The smoke's flavor improves upon the scent, tasting of sweet pine. The high is very lucid, but may sometimes make you want to lie in a hammock and doze.
This plant's structure is like a lanky Christmas tree. Black Widow likes TLC to achieve optimum results. For indoor methods, 8 to 10 weeks of flowering are necessary to produce the immense resin of which this plant is capable. In outdoor gardens, high rainfall can result in reduced yield. Great to use in experimental strains for the layman, the male pollen is recommended to achieve some interesting hybrids.
i like what you wrote. i forgot about seeding. that would be good to add as well. gotta figure a good way to impliment thay. either in the grow app or strain app. maybe on the strain app if we add that i can code a search function to look up and copmare strains for cross pollinization.
thank you so much for your input.
here is a little help.
I saw this Site and thought you guys building this app might find useful info here. oh yeah! i have to mention i dont have anything to do with this site, i am not promoting it in anyway.. and I hope it does help. take care

Just out of interest, what do all of you 'medical marijuana' users suffer from?
chronic insomnia and degenerative disk disease.
mainly helps with my back pain and sometimes with sleep. its hard to make my mind calm down from thought. it helps greatly to focus on a singular thought.

Migranes, and if you never had a migrane before you couldnt begin to understand the intense pain one indures. Having gone through ever single manufactured perscription drug for it and nothing has ever remotley worked...
good news, mother nature made me a cure. If you havent researched or even educated your self in a little literature about the subject, your input is invalid.
i feel you on migraines. Those suck so much.
I have an update for you all. i have several forms of the strain app coded a little. mainly working on layout and certain options for the app like a return to home and a strain search function. There are three catagories on the main form: indica, sativa, and hybrid. Each one will lead you to a new form that will be strain specific. All strains will be listed in a kenetic scrolling enviroment like sense and manila SDK but the one im using is better but expensive but i think you all will like it. i will take some screenshots of the app in the next day or so. still a lot to do.
update 2: i have attached some early screen shots of the main page. each shows a button push and one with out. i still need to impliment a bg image. if anyone has and idea or a good one let me know. This should be very finger friendly. the screen shot was from my HD2
update 3: i update some of the pics with shots of the menu items in home and a menu from a strain form.
Man i love theway things are turning out.if you need anything such as more reference sites let me know i have afew that help out alot. Also i saw that a couple dispensaries are closed that are on canorml.orgs website if u want i can edit the list of the ones that are available.

ive been put on ridilin(pretty much speed) since i was 8 and wellbutrin since i was 12 and once i turned 18 i found medical mmj and ever since then i dont take all those horrible pills they put on people for adhd or depression. Quiting the pills was the greatest thing i could have done to my mental help and in a sense saved my life.

And the larger part of us sadly realized that we all have been submitted to a deeply manipulative plan aimed solely to maximize profits under the solaceous umbrella of the motto "greed is good", (R. Reagan) and the previous generous ground, the rich cornucopia of freeware, of simple direct links to downloads with
no strings attached grew bare and dry, prompting only the fruits of defaced unshamed methods of soliciting pay, pay, PAY (there are various simple, easy forms of payment: paypal, payfoe, credit card indebted card and the lot.
And the usual real life-deprived sons of beaches continued to launch their worms, and virus, and trojan horses and the like and the younger generation begun to use the net just as a date database tool, ignoring and despising the manifolded worlds it also produces for those who have the persistence to surf in orderly sequence... And a large slice of them young blokes gave up and started to look back in anger and search for other skills and entertainment.
Too much of a good thing seems to be too much for our generation to cope with. Hèlas!...
Well, there was a time for M$ to use and abuse its followers, then big develloping companies discovered telecommunications and entered it, inspired by the very same spirit: You will buy our products, and use them the way we constrain you to, and you'll mantain this status as long as we make good profits -- now and then we will keep you under scrutiny and tight surveillance with
tools such as all the KBs and service packs and upgrades and then our net.frameworks basis will provide support to devellopers and other enlightned individuals, while at the same time sending back to our premises individual informations about uses and contents you poor retarded intend to make use of, against our directions, and we will send bsod to your little machines, which today you proudly boast about, but tomorrow we will obsoletize and push you
to spend again your good nickels on some more mhz, or fpm, or any tremendously important benchmark "new" value...whatever we find a good target to aim at.
Then appeared Google and looked sideways and realized there was a good trunk almost unexplored: Linux. And then Android and the promise of stable flexibility and a load of luring applications to market and sell, sell,SELL. You will buy the device we advertise and will pay not only for your phone calls. The minute you activate it, the countdown clock begins to run deducting cents over cents from your meager deposits...
And as time goes by they all begun to weight if their joy of users, consumers in fact, so expensive as it was becoming, if really balanced the economic sacrifice it entailed -- and little, by little started to fold their tends and silently flying away.
And then the masters realized: « That was a funny and profitable game, now we have to find another!...Keep them smiling, keep them distracted with their long hi-tech references and... keep them spending, of course!».
And one of us left his ecstasy and Solomon-like dictated: «Symbian what?! and Android which?! Ah, come on people, 'Rasbadas' is the way! The only one, the best!!! I am buying the "Zhark GT Xanadu 3000": the champion device!!!»..

Hello! My name is arcane arts. i just joined this forum :victory:
Let me cut straight to the point. Basically, i'm looking into buying the 3g+Wifi model of the Note 10.1. I know all of its features, i know its specs by heart, i did all the research i could. It seems like such a good tablet for me, but i need a second opinion.
What i will be using it for:
- General all 'round entertainment (Music/Movies)
- School work/notes
- Graphic work (I'm a free lance graphic designer, and i'm starting web development)
Simple huh?
I know it can do all these things, but my main concern is if it can run CAD applications.I do design technology at GCSE level at the moment, and i have a bulky laptop which i don't want to carry around school all day with me. I'm going through the controlled assessment and i need to know if it can do 3d Modelling, and will help me for sketching my initial Ideas, development, etc.
If it can't run CAD, is there anything similar on the note? Am i considering the wrong tablet completely? please help!

Don't get the 3g version

hi arcane arts. i have the note 10.1 and i really love it. i dont know what some of those applications are but for notetakeing i use it everyday for school. I also thought that i would need the 3g wifi but then i herd about wifi tethering from your android phone for free so i just leave the hotspot on in my pocket and just use the wifi version
Did you have a look at this:

I can tell you, as an engineering student, this tablet is great! The hard part is deciding to use snotes or lecture notes, sometimes I just switch between the two. Snotes is great for drawing diagrams and stuff because it can fit what you draw to well defined shapes and is mostly accurate when making perpendicular and parallel lines as well as arrows, and using different colored pens helps a lot as well. Exporting my notes as a pdf to drop box so I can access them everywhere in a nice organized and color coded fashion with all my books as well. The screenshot organic to the device is great as well. Being able to take a screenshot of my books and cropping out the formulas and stuff I need is great for taking notes while reading, importing the images into a note file.
The clipboard comes in handy a lot as well, making the best use of copy and paste with both images and text.
This is the best tablet for school stuff.
As far as handling CAD, that would have to be an app for that on the android market. The one posted earlier looks like it might be what you're looking for but it is in german, the english version is just an en at the end of the url https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.autodesk.autocadws&hl=en
I have seen auto CAD viewers though. There is a search tool though in the snotes with the formulas and stuff that sends it to wolfram alpha so that is nice to do some cool calculations.
There are some apps that make pdf's from pictures, and does a great job with whiteboards even from angles to make it look very nice
There are a lot of CAD apps on the market, just not sure how good any of them are, would depend on your particular need and wants
Thank you very much to everyone for replying! I think i will definitely be getting the tablet

I do lots of AV designing and hence need to work on lots of Autocad drawings, I will be honest I have never used Autocad WS to edit one till date but viewing any drawing on no matter how big it is, is not an issue. It takes some time to open it because i think the software does some processing before opening the drawing but there are no lags when you zoom in or out or pan
Hopefully this is the correct forum for this...
This is right up the XDA alley. Here's a cool new application for innovative developers. It could change the world for consumers, retailers, various industries, police depts, the military... It's a quiet, tiny, robotic dragonfly with HD cameras and numerous sensors. Pretty exciting stuff and has the potential for several new industries and many new jobs.
It can be used for gaming, to guard your home (inside or outside), keep an eye on your crazy neighbor, monitor your child's bike ride to school, real estate agents, auto dealerships, etc. The applications are almost endless. Apparently your android or iphone smartphone controls it.
They're selling various prototypes starting at $119. A software developer kit is available to create your own application. They plan to use the money to make it even better (smaller, lighter, quieter, faster, more efficient). No doubt there will be a huge # of applications in the consumer market in the years to come.
I purchased one and can't wait to start playing with it. Unfortunately there's only a few more remaining...
http://www.indiegogo.com/robotdragonfly
Interesting. Is this legit ?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Yeah, good luck with that. Consider it a tax write-off lmao.
Even to really get one, I'd imagine it wouldn't last long before a bird took it out.....or the gust from a strong fart blew it into the side of the house. You be better off mouthing s tiny camera in a tree somewhere.
If it was easy you'd of hired the guy at Home Depot to to it.
I'm bothered by the idea that it's being promoted as something to invade civilian privacy. Security is one thing, actively going out of your way to invade the privacy and property of others is different.
At 6", I can't believe it's not going to be noticed - wouldn't you notice an unusually large, weird-looking bug ? It's really the size of a bird if you watch it.
I can't imagine people not noticing and not calling the police over it - or simply destroying it if someone decided to use it for that purpose.
Commendable and interesting otherwise, though I also have concerns about flight abilities and stability and such - but would be interested to know more about its capabilities in that regard.
help
Just got the S3, should I have waited for the S4!
Wow that looks so cool but I would love to see it follow me down a downhill track without hitting a tree but still really cool I may think of getting one
skydragon team
i want one
When I want an app to fly I'll make sure to keep this in mind lol
Hello,
I'm NZTM and the developer of the NZT App.
The NZT App is a neuro-enhancer in the form of a mobile device application. Using sound stimulation at a very specific frequency it unlocks not only your full intellectual potential, but also changes your way of looking at the world.
The NZT App is for everybody. It can be used by young minds to the elderly, women, men, anyone who wants to experience what a positive ground breaking change and want to transform taking advantage of the human mind vast potential.
The NZT App is all about audio stimulation to induce a very precise frequency your brain. This frequency will "rewire" your brain to an optimal configuration, producing the results you will experience after using it for 10 or more days.
The NZT App is not related to hypnosis, subliminal messages, or other techniques that are not scientifically proven, it is good old fashioned and distilled neuroscience at your service.
You can think...this could be a scam...well, it could, but the thing is it doesn't make any sense to ask someone to try and review something you know in advance it won't work. So, It will give you the results you are expecting from it and fast. In 10 days of continous use (30 mins in the morning and 30 mins before going to bed) you are going to notice it puts you in a extremely good mood, you will feel energized, your focus will skyrocket and your cognitive processes are going to be enhanced, like memory recall. It may also produce in some cases lucid dreams and sudden recall of old memories and experiences.
Get the NZT App from Google Play.
There is a promo video there along with references to the app twitter account, a couple of blogs from current users, and a user's reference guide link.
I'm telling you, if you miss the chance to check it, you'll be missing the next big thing on mobile devices. the hype is starting to build up, so as I told you, don't miss the chance to check it out.
Why NZTM instead of my real name? I know this is going to be ground breaking and once it catches fire it's going to be crazy. I value my privacy, so there you go, that's my reason.
Warm Regards
