Hey guys,
My lady upgraded me to the GSII skyrocket for Xmas. I thought I saw a thread for a Super One-click root for GSII skyrocket with 2.3.5. I looked all through the forum but cant find it or a simple root for 2.3.5. I rooted my old galaxy but got lucky doing it. Anyone want to give me a late Xmas presents on step by step instructions?
There is a guide in the dev section. Not all that hard if you just following the steps.

set usb debugging on (settings > applications > development > USB debugging) Install teh drivers plug in your phone and let teh drivers FULLY INSTALL extract the entire root zip file (dont just pull what you want out of it, it doesnt work like that) run the included batch file/sh file depending on your os

The drivers don't exist on the link provided takes me to a blank page. The other for Android Syndicate site doesn't exist for the Skyrocket or was taken down.
Use PdaNet to install the drivers if you can't find them. Its a free app in the market.

The drivers were all I was missing. I went out to samsung directly, downloaded the Kies drivers right from there, went out to SuperClick and worked like a charm! Any apps or suggestions of what I should do to it next?
Download rom manager. Install cwm recovery for the tmobile gs2 . Then download titaniim backup. Back up all your apps. Then boot into cwm. And choose backup/restore. And select backup. You will then have a nandroid backup. Custom recovery, and apps backd up with titanium
What are the implications of rooting? I expect Samsung/AT&T will release an ICS update for this phone in 2012 Q1 or Q2. Will rooting it now interfere with that eventual update?
You have to have stock recovery and all bloat to receive an ot a update there is a stock recovery tar in development section
Is there a Kernal like the Glitch kernal for Captivate that allows high over clocking?
Also off my topic, what about a Odin or Heimdal return to stock for the Skyrocket?
1. Questions belong in q&a
2. Yes theres an over clock kernel in the development section.
3. Yes theres an odin stock tar with complete instructions in the development section.
Did you not even look in development before posting a question in the general section?

Yes i looked, but this forum is not nearly organized as others when it comes to Rom's and Kernals. Also i have one eye and the vision is really bad and suffer from headaches when staring at a screen too long. Your answer helped a lot and would like to thank you for your time to research for me. I know using the search function would of been the route to go and should have. But again, i thank you for your efforts.
So I rooted my phone and everything seemed fine. I Installed and used Tasker successfully and had no issues for about 3-4 days. However, today tried to restart my phone and it won't boot past the droid sign. I tried holding down vol + power and booting in recovery, factory, or normal but they all lead back to the droid image with no further actions. I don't think it had USB debugging enabled so plugging it in seems to do nothing. Any suggestions? I am a complete newbie to android and to the forum so any help is greatly appreciated.
Got it fixed. and now im scared of trying to root it again.

lol just realized you posted in general q and a. For all things Ultra/Maxx bookmark this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-ultra and then from there you can pick subthreads. No big deal posting here but you'll have all ultra/maxx users in the Ultra/Maxx Q and A.

Which file do I choose for a Verizon XT 1080?
Delete - Figured it out.

all links are dead

That's only required for ROMs that are really old. Why not flash a current ROM?
