HI,
Can somebody make this mod:
in gingerbread camera when you press the power button, the touch screen and buttons stop working and the camera is locked recording and there is no way you can accidentily hit the Stop button.
in ICS this is not there and i often press the stop button by accident: I film myself with my hands on the touch screen.
Is there somebody who can make this mod or point me in the right direction making this APK.

Howdy Folks!
Just got a brand new Cruise... the camera button on the side doesnt seem to be responding...the button itself is working (when i press it the phone lights up) but the camera doesnt turn on.. any ideas?

Click on Start->Settings->Buttons to see if the button is associated to the camera application.
Then try to start the camera manually going to the Programs menu. If it works manually and it doesn't with the button, you should return it for replacing.

thanks for the reply.. i have also noticed that I cant take any pictures using the camera button aswell...when i press the camera button it zooms in but doesnt take a picture...i get the feeling its a software issue rather than hardware...anyone else facing the same problem?
strange... do you really press HARD enough? This button can be pressed half for autofocus and has to be pressed hard to take a photo then.
It is also a good tip to change the settings to take a photo with half press because otherwise the photos get blurred because pressing the button fully makes you move the phone while pressing (because it's hard to press).
well the button is in fact a "two step" button. did you try to press it all down, and not just slightly?

You are not the only "fool". Taking my first pics I thought the sound of the autofocus and the beep afterwards was the signal that I have taken a pic. I searched the whole device for the pics then...
has this been developed and i just haven't seen it........ Shinzul has developed this currently for cm6..... .....just a brilliant idea......

You can remap your volume keys to act as your camera button. I did this with my hero and just tried it with my evo and it worked. I haven't tried it with any of the touch buttons. The only thing about doing it this way is that your volume button will only act as a camera button and not a volume button anymore.

Edit: The touch sensitive buttons do work. I use the search button as my camera button. Also, long pressing the remapped button will launch the camera app.
I made a thread that remaps search to camera. This will disable the search function though.

The power button on my Sensation gets stuck occasionally and when
pressing the home button it takes a screen shot which is very annoying and clutters my photo album.
I know there are apps that lock your screen without having to press the power button. Is there an app that takes you directly to your home screen? I just want to avoid pressing the home key and taking
another screen shot. Thank you!
How did you fix it?
So a friend dropped his C5303 and the power button is now a little sticky.
Any way to turn the camera button into the power button?

Hello guys,as our LG ON[P690] is a OLD device,now I've started facing some problems with my Power key, Volume DOWN key, and sometimes Back key. All these keys don't respond on my device. Facing too much of problems when it comes to Power key because i cant even lock the device nor could wake up the screen when its locked! Too much of battery gets drained when the screen stays awake! some how i found something for this problem. Wish to share with you all too..
Here is a mod that remaps your search button and makes it a power button and your power button as search button. It works on all Andro vs. i.e GB,ICS,JB,KK. As far as our device is concerned it works on GB,ICS n JB too..
