I'm on Promethius rom 1.5 and kernel 1.5+ (both flashed after full wipe). When the CPU temperature gets below 25°C, my phone gives an error like "please replace your simcard and reboot the phone" and the signal goes away . And if I warm up the cpu with playing some game or something for a while and after that turn on/off flight mode, signal comes back and phone starts to work normally. This might become a serious problem in the following months with the autumn and winter.
Did this happen to anybody else? What can be the problem?
I checked the problem in my refrigerators freezer section and happened again just before I post this. Can somebody else try it and tell the results?
why open new thread?
i can ask help into the thread original!
I also mentioned this in Promethius thread but it can be irrelevant with the rom or kernel.
try another rom
Of course I will.
But can you cool down your phone to see what happens in this time for example?
you just wait... at 25°C all is ok.

Thanks a lot, I flashed ThiaiZ rom and kernel and will try with this.
Happened again with Thiaiz Rom and v0.6 kernel. This time around 25°C.
It says "Replace your simcard and reboot".
That's so strange. I don't know what happen but is not good.send to the LG customer.

Yes strange. My phone overheats occasionally but I have never seen this warning before.
Try reinstalling latest stock GB ROM and see does it work normally with original software and kernel. If it's still showing same message on that temperature i supose that problem isn't then in custom ROM-s and kernels but in hardware...
Sent from my LG-P920
Yeah that's the only way that I can find out if it's kernel related or a hardware problem. I guess I'll do the stock rom thing and if the problem continues, I'll take my phone to LG.
I've found out that the problem is not because of CPU temp but because of my simcard. I've changed my simcard and there is no problem anymore.
sound much better

Hi,
After a SuperWipe and a clean intall of ARHD 3.6.0, 24h later I experienced a strange bug, I never seen that issue on any Android phone so far.
Have a look at those screen captures :

Only the Lockscreen and Sense are affected by this. If I start any apps or go to my People everything is fine.
Also, since I can capture this on a screen shot, it is more related with software then hardware, not sure 100% but logically it must be.
Have you ever seen this problem? Any hint to resolve this?
This problem appear after I removed the Stock.apk ant Tweeter.apk via SystemAppRemover.
Thanks for your time.

Hi,
The best thing you can do is to wipe cache partition and dalvik(advanced),and re-install the ROM.
This will reset everything.
Did you make a NANDROID Backup?
It is always wise to do this Before you make any changes,or add any mods.
That way if there is any problem, you can easily(and quickly)restore everything back to it's original state.
Thanks for answer!
I did all that, yes. I did thought of clearing both caches in first but that didn't fix nothing. I did a have a Nandroid backup it's a big problem, but I just wanted to understand why this had happen suddenly like that, and actually see if a solution for that issue can be found.
I will SuperWipe and install a backup copy, thanks.
I've been playing around with installing different ROMs, and decided to try one of the CM 7.2 Nightly's. It flashed just fine in CWM, but I had no cell signal. I followed this guide and went back to v10 but nothing. So I tried going to v20, but something went wrong...

This was after Emergency Mode. It should have restored from the backup. From 1 to 158...
I've tried searching, but can't find anything (I might be typing in the wrong terms... I don't know much about the P500 yet).
Help?
EDIT:
After some extreme fumbling, it seems to have signal now... What are the implications of the restore failing?
Don't worry, I had the same problem too. I followed the instructions perfectly, but ended up with no signal. Then restoring failed, and I decided to flash again. Surprisingly enough it worked fine. There's nothing to really worry about - as long as you have signal and can make calls, you're good to go. (My phone's been going strong for 6 months)

Im getting graphic glitches on all of the ROM (Sense or Cm9). This has been happening after i installed the cm10 8/22 build.
Can anybody please help? Sometimes the screen goes upside down quickly.
p.s its hard to get screenshots of the glitch because they happen so quickly.

I notice you are on Viper's new ROM. I am too and I never got this, not on any Sense ROM or AOSP. My suggestion to you is to start from scratch. Wipe everything, reformat your sdcard (which requires more wiping, so back up on computer), and install a fresh ROM. If you cannot access your sdcard at all, check the dev section; there is a thread to recover bricked devices and undetectable sdcards. Be ware, you may loose everything on the card, pics and all.

after a reboot my sd card came back. wtf? I tried all of that I'm still getting random graphic glitches. I think the cm10 ROM messed up my graphic driver?

No chance unless you installed without a wipe, and then it's slim. Maybe your accelerometer is busted.

Hey all,
Finally my S2 returned from being repaired (for free, thanks Samsung... ehm... maybe that's a story for another day). And while being happy to have my regular phone back, I seem to have a problem which I don't seem to find the cause of.
Basically I used to have Ressurection Remix (one of the more stable roms I used btw), but seeing how the developer had some problems and it is currently stuck on 4.1.2 I decided to try a different rom: Omega v12.
The problem is that I had my phone restarting out of the blue a few times over the last couple of days.
Now I did not notice this the first few days when I was running Omega, so I am not sure whether this is something with the rom or with the apps I installed (I installed approx 100 of them in 2 batches).
So my question is following: is there a way to figure out what the problem is/was (some log of some sort?) so I can come here for more help with a bit more than "my phone restarts... help me"?
If it would be helpful these are the details of my phone and the rom it is currently running:

I can't get rid of these damn reboots. I even flashed back to stock and no luck.
Currently running stock ROM with Code Blue kernel. Just got a reboot after using Soundcloud. It happened around 9:11AM. Logcat attached.
Any help would be appreciated! thanks.
Are you in lollipop? If so I am having them also

Yep, stock Lollipop rom with code blue kernel.
I had to go back to Mahdi's KitKat rom. Every Lollipop rom would give me random reboots.

I switched to this hidden gem last night and so far no reboots - http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/rom-android-5-0-aosp-gapps-t2932747.
But we'll see as the day goes on.

when is it happening? the GF's phone i was just informed 10 minutes ago that it is rebooting randomly or shutting down randomly on her. shes on stock locked and lollipop.
No idea when they happen. They are random.
I'm getting reboots even on KiKat. WTF?!
Any idea what to do?
Looks like this is what is causing my reboots. Could anyone please help me interpret the log?
Could it be a hardware issue?
