Framerate cap - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I was wondering if anyone has or is working on a fix for the 60fps cap on the framerate?
I am running cleanrom @ 1.9 ghz and it's locked at 59. I know it is not going to make any difference in real life but for benchmark junkies it may.

60 is really good actually. You could be like some of the moto guys and be stuck at 30.

Mine has hit as high as 64 while running quadrant. Are you sure there is a cap?

Downloading and installing now. Running SKYIcs speed 7.4 b.t.w.
Booted up pretty quick. Seems to be running really smooth. Doing antutu now

Its a good idea to use apn backup from market if your going to flash this. Makes the whole data thing alot easier as this is a tmobile rom so it comes with tmobile apn's. Other than that flawless so far

Ran great all day with no issues. 192 default which is nice as most other kernels default to 384 even when set to 192.

Found it a little laggy with my current setup. No issues with rotation and such just found it a little sluggish. Prob due to the 192 but I left as is to test. Running a modded bonestock
I found it laggy at first but I went into setcpu and chose the Lionheart governor and it has been super smooth.

I have been running the kernel with sky ics. Seemed a but smoother than with the faux kernel but no faster. Then out of nowhere I got a soft reboot or something.
I think eugenes kernal was meant to be ran on tmobile roms wasn't it? Maybe in wrong lol
Sent from my pocket rocket
Yeah but he made a modification for the skyrocket.
Kernel's working good for me. OCing to the max on the lagfree governor. Smooth as can be

GS3 vs G-nexus benchmark test!

Thought it'd be a fun experiment to run benchmark test on The best dev backed up phone vs one of the top 2 android device to date, benchmarks are not to be taken too seriously as they are not to reflective of real world usage, plus some of you may say this test is un-fair becuase thr gs3 running 4.0.4 and g-nexus running 4.1... non the less your thoughts and opinions are all welcome!

thanks for the video. Just to note, GS3 with JB will get you more than 50% higher Antutu results. I've gotten over 8K a few times.

Horn

It looks like Horn is not working on our phones running CM9. Has anyone had any luck with stock or other roms?
Isn't that a tegra game?

No luck with:
Cm10 superlite / aokp jb / cm9.1
Also no luck with stock jb xoom.
Atrix on Cm10 has had the game running but one time out of 10+ tries isn't ideal. It's a really glitch game. Piss poor release Imo.

#1 on the first link. I never said it was accurate. The 337 has the same CPU as the 9505 in the first link. That is one website's subjective rating of the phone, and not based on pure benchmarks.
You do realize that the quality of the architecture on a SoC determines how fast it will be? Clock frequency hardly matters in that respect. Its the reason why a Cortex-A15 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz trumps the 1.9 GHz Krait in almost all major benchmarking platforms.
also the s4 doesn't even run 1900mhz more like 1800mhz

People need to realize benchmarks aren't everything.

It still portrays an accurate thesis in the respect that SoC architecture>CPU frequency.
The title of this thread sounds like the title to a Spiderman comic or something.

Is this normal?

I ran a speed test and got these results. I'm wondering if this is normal because this is my average speed here.

I can't read kbps but that speed is for your data not benchmarks on performance. Overclocking will do nothing to that.

Okay, cool. Thanks.
The reason why I asked is because I watched a review of a Galaxy S4 that was downloading at like 17,xxx kbps.
So I was just like... wtf.

Well there's a difference between Kbps and kbps. Lowercase 'k' means kilobits per second, upper case 'K' means kilobytes. And there are 8 bits in a byte
