Has anyone managed to actually get the Video Stabilizer to work ? there is no diffrence when recording in 1080p whether stabilization is on or off for me.

Can anyone change the Camera's video recording Resolution to 720p?
I see huge potential in the Sidekick's camera and I was just curious if it was possible.
The Sidekick does already take some pretty nice videos for a 3.2 megapixel camera so recording quality should be good.

So you want me to downgrade the camera quality? All the pictures I've taken are 2048x1536, much higher than 720p

I guess it involve kernel/drives modifications which usually are released quite slowly by developers. But I hope I am wrong on that

Not that I can find so far, that's one part of the OPO that disappointed me a little. I used to record in full 1080p 60fps in everything with my previous phones, just looks so much better. Here's hoping a software update will allow it.
Maybe we just need another app?
I'm looking for the same thing... the hardware is powerful enough

So how does it work exactly on this phone? I've heard that during 1080p 30fps it uses OIS, but anything above that doesn't use any kind of stabilization. Also anyone got news, if there is going to be firmware update addressing that, how hard can it be to enable OIS on 4k videos if it's already there, just not being used? Thanks
it has only AIS not OIS while recording. notice that it is doing crop in 1080p 30fps

But OIS is still part of the RGB camera sensor right ? Why won't they use it then ?
Dont know, i think they use it only for photos. Maybe the CPU is not so good and cant handle ois in videos
It doea not habe ois on photos or videos. You can look with a flashlight and you will notice that the sensor is not moving ...

From the spec sheet: Super Slow Motion: 1080p video at 240 fps, 720p video at 480 fps
You don't get an option for 120fps.
So its a complete disaster, i really wanted this for making vlogs
