[APP][2.2+]JellyBean Notifications+(Trial) Facebook/Twitter/SMS: social notification! - Android Apps and Games

Hello!
Some of you may know me already, I'm the developer of Scrolling Notifications.
I'm back with a new app! It has a lot of similarities with Scrolling Notifications in some social functions but this time it takes the form of a new Notification Shade, very similar visually to the one in Jelly Bean!
It has a Trial Period of 10days, I hope it's okay with the rules of this board.
You can have Notifications for your SMS (with quick-response and mark as read), Twitter, Facebook (with no signing needed if you have the official app, theoretically :silly and RSS (and maybe more in the future).

Feel free to give your feedback, report bugs and post suggestions! Don't worry other features and enhancements are on the way but for the first release I could not put all that I wanted.
(In case you're wondering about Scrolling Notifications a big update is coming so it integrates Facebook, some small new things coming from this app and some long due bug fixes . No ETA for this one for the moment, because I need to change some core things.)

Changelog 1.1.2
Initial Release

Hey I really love your ideas, but you other app I purchased and it has not been updated for some time. So how about giving those who purchased it a free upgrade
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium

Hi, thanks for your enthusiasm!
As I said for Scrolling Notifications an update is coming with lots of stuff. Sorry it took so long but an overhaul was needed and creating this new app helped me a lot to better reorganize and improve the code and it motivated me to continue even if it's hard for me because the sells of my app don't allow me to work as much as I would want on them.
But I think you're right, the early customers who trusted me by buying my first app should be rewarded. Your idea seems feasible, I'll examine it and come back at you (and the others who previously purchased it) as soon as possible(before the end of the week I hope, in the meantime you can give a try to the app without buying it ).
Thanks for your support!

Just downloaded the app and already loving it!
Login to Twitter for the first few times got some OAuthExceptionError or some sort but managed to login now.
Hopefully this application will receive more likes and the dev will not abandon this project!
1) Eating too much ram and battery
2) Would it be possible if sliding the message away = mark as read?
3) How would I know how many days I've left using the trial? Can you push an update to show it?
4) After using for a long time, when I want to pull down the notification, it will never be pulled down. It just springs back up. tl;dr, it stopped working.

Thanks for the nice words, especially on the play store, it s encouraging!
For Twitter yes it can take 2 or 3 attempts and I m not sure if it s due to the library I m using or Twitter servers but once it s set you should not have anymore problems on this matter.
1- I will investigate the memory/battery issue any more details you could provide can help!
2-you mean for twitter or facebook? It s already the case for sms.
3-in the next update I ll show it on the main settings page, thanks for the suggestion
4-strange this should only happen on the lockscreen can you give more details?

Hahaha you deserve it.
I wonder who gave you one star. That bastard.
Yup. After authenticating, it works pretty well ^^
1) Background service is already using up 12mb Is it possible to scale it down?
2) For SMS. When I slide it away, the message icon is still there. Any possible way to remove it? Furthermore, the "New message : 1" still appears on the lock screen.
3)Thank you
4) Seems to be working now, AFTER I got one notification. Before that, it's hard to slide the notification down.
Some features request [ You don't have to do it! Just giving some suggestions to make it better ^^ ]
Whatsapp Notification [ I doubt it's possible because I heard there's no API to it? Maybe just a simple notification will do?]
Colors [ Message icon, bar icon etc etc]
Notification vibration and sounds for each individual.
Vibration pattern.
Custom sound - Using our own music.
Bug/Glitches
SMS vibrate when switched on doesn't seem to work. FC when message arrived.
.
Etc :
Alignment of text [At the "Advanced Tab", "Twitter" doesn't align with the other text"]
I'll have a go at Facebook and RSS notification as I'm currently using only SMS and Twitter updates.
Then I'll update this post again! Possible about 2 - 3 hours from now!
Hope to see some updates soon! Thank you! ^^

For the 1-star guy it's a german speaker with a desire hd, he basically says it's a good approach, the app is not bad, but not good enough to buy it and he seems to have lot of lags ( I think he speaks about sliding up and down the panel, which is not very fluid, I'll try to make it better, for example by making the background opaque by default and activate transparency via an option, and by other means). 1-star seems a bit harsh yeah .
I also added Beta in the title on the Play Store, it may be more appropriate so people don't expect it to be 100% bugfree first release, I do my best to provide a professional product but I don't have the means for the moment to test every possible configuration before release so sadly some problems are expected at the beginning . I don't know, what do you guys think ?
Previous points:
1- I'll do my best to scale it down, I have a few optimizations ideas I need to test, I don't guarantee all will come in one update but I'll make it a priority
2-For the icon, at my knowledge the only way to remove it is to disable the notifications in your SMS app, then you'll have to rely on my app for the visual icon and the notification sound/vibration (by ticking the box in the advanced options)
4-I'll take a look, the slide down mechanism can surely be improved.
Feature Requests:
-I can do the same thing I've done with my last app, allow classic notifications to be displayed by enabling the "Accessibility Service" for my app in the phone options but you won't be able to interact with these notifications except discarding it. This in my todo list but after some features I want to add to Facebook/Twitter (like pictures of contacts or articles)
-Totally do-able and will be done in a few updates
-Vibration and sounds for each notifications: will be done ASAP, this is something lacking for a release I have to admit. For custom sounds instead of the default one for sms, I'll take a look and I'll add it at the same time if it's fast to implement or a bit after otherwise (sorry it's a bit vague )
Bugs:
-I reproduced the error and found the solution, it will be in the next update
Etc:
-For the twitter text, yes I need to resize the image, there's a lot of blank space in it, that's why the text is not aligned ^^
Thanks for the report, if you want to be a beta-tester for future app, you will be welcome

What type of notifications did you choose ? (SMS/Facebook/Twitter/RSS)
For Facebook/Twitter/RSS it can take a few seconds before informations are retrieved, depending on your connection, also messages are downloaded only once so if you deleted a notification (accidentaly or not) or the app was stopped for a reason or another, it is possible that you need for new notifications to be displayed. It's not perfect on this state but I'm working on a much better system where notifications "survive" the app shutdown (which the phone can do if you use another app which is memory expensive for example).
For SMS do you have a third-party app for SMS like Go SMS or Handcent ? In this case you can try this :
Go SMS: Settings-> receive settings -> uncheck second option blocking duplicate messages
Handcent: Settings ->Application Settings -> Default Messaging Applications -> Disable
A reboot can be necessary.
But maybe your problem is elsewhere. You said the notification bar was blank, do you mean it covers your usual notification icons? Was it in the app settings? (where it should be transparent blue). Was it blinking ? The bar position in the main settings was left right or center ? Could you please provide some screenshots ?

Thanks a lot

For now sms only disabled any other sms notifications, here is what happens. It covers every thing even reboot dialog.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium

Ok.
Second screenshot is the normal state of the app when the notification panel is completely deployed and there is no unread sms.
First one looks like you had one message and you were pulling it down. If that's the case there s nothing abnormal, notification panel looks that empty in vanilla 4.1. Do you have difficulties pulling it back up? What is strange for you? Sorry if I m missing something.
For the reboot dialog, you'll have to pull up the notification panel first, I cannot detect when it's showing.

I've been looking high and low for something like this, thanks!

Great! Tell me if you encounter any problems!
First update is on the way with the "Vibration" fix; the text for remaining days for trial version and the fix for disappearing notifications if the service was stopped/restarted by the system.
It might take a few more hours, if my download of Black Mesa finishes before I upload the update

I don't know whether or not it is just me, but I've been noticing that when the drawer scrolls back up (like when using the settings shortcut in the drawer) it will scroll back up incredibly slow (it takes about 2-3 seconds to disappear entirely again). Also, if I try to move the drawer down while on the lockscreen, it will bounce up and down and then disappear. I've also been getting errors on facebook login, "This app is misconfigured for facebook login." These are the only issues I've encountered, other than that, I'm really liking it.

Yes the scrolling up is slow on some phones at least and it will be improved (especially for the settings shortcut).
For the lockscreen it's a known issue, and a solution will be soon added.
The facebook error is strange, I've never encountered it, when does it happen? At the first login or at random times ? Did you succeed in retrieving any facebook infos? Do you have the Facebook app installed ? (I tested on a phone with Facebook app and it worked great but it's still a good indication). Do you think you could screenshot it if it happens again ? Thanks
And by the way, what phone do you have ?

I've been using this for around two days, so far so good. I would just recommend improving the speeds of dragging up and down, and maybe removing the am/pm from the time! Jelly bean doesn't show the am or pm. Also, when I get a text, the status bar blinks on and off on top over my regular one. Is that supposed to happen?

Hello!
Thanks for reporting, speed for panel sliding on/off will be improved.
Ok for AM/PM, It's the 24h format in my language so I did notice it only yesterday when I was taking screenshots for the english version.
Yes it blinks to display the icons and their notification count because I cannot add it to the regular one for each type of notification and partial transparency or complete occlusion of what could be beneath in the original bar didn't seem to be a good solution. Well it's not perfect and I'm open to suggestions but it will be soon customizable in speed and you'll also be able to remove it.

Sorry, but may I know when the next update is coming? Any ETA? I really can't wait! Hahaha
Bug report :
RSS, Twitter etc doesn't update. Only updates the first time you activate it

Today or tomorrow for the update
I played black mesa a bit and then had a big headache maybe because of the strange head bobbing on horizontal movement... :-s.
Your problem is strange, for me RSS and Twitter work well, does it update if you click again on " activate" ?

My first Android App!

Hi,
This is my first Android app, NBLauncher. It's a simple app that let you add shortcuts to apps as buttons in the notification bar (expanded view), so you can quickly launch an app from anywhere (as long as you have access to the notification bar). I've seen similar apps on the Android market, but I haven't seen one that uses multiple buttons/apps on the same notification line. NBLauncher currently allows a maximum of 15 buttons (three lines of five). After installing, launch NBLauncher from app drawer to configure what apps you want to add to notification bar. Use the up/down arrows to rearrange the order of the buttons. Make sure to click "Done" when exiting. You'll then see the NBLauncher icon on the notification bar. Pull down the notification and you'll see the buttons to launch your app. It also saves the list of apps so you when reboot the phone, it auto-starts with your configured list.
Two minor things that I haven't figure out. Maybe you guys could help.
1. Each notification line requires it's own notification icon in the bar. So if there are three lines of buttons, there will be three separate icons. I have made only one visible and the others invisible, but I have no idea how to get rid of the invisible icons while keeping the notification. Any ideas?
2. During installation of the app, Android lists accessing phone book/contact as one of the things that the app does. But I am not touching the phone book or any contact info. How can this be? How does it determine what an app could do? Based on permission? This obviously has an negative effect of scaring people away from the app
Feed backs and suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
can you give us a little screenshots before we give it a go?..
Nice, I like it, much better then App Launcher, which costs $2 right now.
I couldn't find it in the Market though, did you pull it?
Only complaint so far is that it doesn't play well with lcd density changes. I'm set at 161, so the UI is a little cramped when setting up, but the launcher in the notification tray scales perfectly and looks good. There are several market apps that don't scale well with density changes, so it's not even that big of a deal. Spare Parts, MixZing, Mint.com, and Shazam don't either, just to name a few.

If minSdkVersion is not set in AndroidManifest.xml, it assumes a minimum version of 1. In the SDK version 4(ish?), a few new permissions were added, so if minSdkVersion is below that, those permissions are included whether you need them or not. Read Phone State was among these.
TopShelf10,
I only tested the app on Droid X (my phone) and Evo 4G. Haven't test it on Samsung Galaxy series yet. I noticed button events in the notification view behave differently on Droid X and Evo 4G, so I had to code around it. I guess it's different again on the Galaxy phones. I'll need to get my hands on a Galaxy phone

Sure. As long as you site the source and keep me updated on any findings so I can update my app accordingly.
To be more specific, I think the problem is how button events/intents are handled vs. default intent of the notification content view. I'll try to post some code when I get home.

I think I am really going to like this app. Works great on my rooted Incredible. Any chance you could add an option to hide the icon in the Notification Bar?
Edit: Thought I would mention that I'm running a ROM using the EVO framework. So I couldn't tell ya if it'll work on a stock HTC Incredible.
Well this looks great, just installed it. It doesn't work though. I press on an app, it seems to highlight, then the notification bar just closes.... Any help?

[APP][4.1+] Notif - March 7 - Big feature update!

Hey guys, I have been working hard on my app, Notif, for a few months now and I decided to make a page for discussion. You can talk about anything related to the app, including requests, bugs, or any other comments.
It is an app for Jelly Bean that allows you to create rich notifications for your device. 4.1 introduced expandable notifications, which I'm sure you all know about already. Notif leverages that and blends your own content with rich notifications to create sort of a note/reminder/list app for your notification shade. There are three types of notifications you can create: text, picture, and list. Each of these are expandable just like a long text message, a screenshot, or new e-mails. See what you can do with Notif for yourself!
Notif requires Android 4.1 or above.
Notif
Notif Pro
Notif Pro features:
Notification editing
All 200 icons!
Unlimited Notif History
Create notifications from other apps
QuickNotif - create/clear notifications from anywhere on your phone
Lots more to come
Right now, I am working on these fixes:
[ ]Better resolution for camera images
[ ]Nexus 7 picture bug
[ ]Get image from other sources (Dropbox, Drive, etc.)

I love the app. I've been using it for a few months now.
I recommend everyone buy the pro version and show your support to this developer. He is quick to respond to any questions/messages sent and has produced a great application.
If nothing else, take a minute to say thanks as this is someone who taken the time to develop a quality application for the phones and platform we enjoy so much.
Keep up the great work. I hope you stay inspired to not only continue developing this application, but developing others in the future as well.

Hey guys, quick update. I just got out of school so I have a ton of extra time to work on the app. First I'll be catching the free version up with the Pro in terms of UI tweaks and settings and fixes, etc. Then I'm fixing the reboot issue.
I also created a Notif Community on Google+ so join if you'd like!
Thanks
Nice work. Just went into the market and looked over your app. Haven't tried it yet but plenty of ideas where this could be useful and on that note, I purchased your app. My wife who loves Cherrywine (in the picture) is amused by your Soda app and the look/clean development look/style of the app gave me the solid impression to begin with. Call it an impulse purchase.

I like the idea of this app, but I don't see any mention of how these notifications are triggered. Are they all manual triggers?

Right now, they are. In the future, I hope to add an alert feature where the user will be able to add a custom time for the notification to appear.

I'm not sure if any of you are like me but I've got an app for basically everything. I've got apps for things that I barely ever do, but when I do, I have it. I keep everything well organized. Tabbed launcher app drawer, folders, and so forth. It's set up so perfect to my liking.
Sometimes I'm not sure about where/how I need to execute a function. For instance, being a general contractor and things are yelled, told, and asked through out my day where I've got to remember these things, much of it on a timely manner. I could load up Catch Notes which is my goto app for all things Notes. I could just use my Calender to place it in the correct date 'said item' is due/needed. Perhaps I could use the 'My Measure' app and snap a photo and write in my measurements. A lot of those things tend to take me a few minutes and at times I feel like I stare at my screen much to often, even though it's important to document/log this information.
This is where 'Notif' comes into play. Being able to setup things in the notification is sure to grab my attention to things I need to be aware of. If your anything like me, I check my phone display numerous times a day, sometimes cause I'm just refreshing my brian, sometimes out of habit. So, hopefully this will fulfill my need to NOTIFy me of the task/data that I need to follow up on/enter into my phone. This is how I will be using NOTIF as basically a quick note/reminder app for my pulldown. I will report back.
Take care,
Johnny

Is it possible to make a notification from an image on a Web page or so? For example there's a pic on a Web page that I need to remember I tap on share and make a picture notification.

In Notif Pro, simply highlight some text in a webpage and click on the share action, and share with Notif and it will create a notification. This only works with text items (in any app that has a share intent), but I will be working on Big Picture notifications in the future.
I just released an update to the free version that includes a lot of fixes. You can see the full change log here as always. I even update it with what I'm currently working on. Consider buying Notif Pro as it includes all the good features. Happy holidays!!
Dev,
Have you seen NotificationBrowser? The idea that these two apps merged seems like a great concept. That dev is on ICS and couldn't try NOTIF unfortunately but now I can put my notifications to a widget. Thanks for your hardwork!

[APP][2.1+] Notify Me! (notifications on the lock screen) v1.9.1 16.12.13 [GPL]

Notify Me!
v1.9.1 16.12.2013
Did you ever look at an iOS device as it got a notification? Have you ever noticed that the screen lights up and that the notification can be displayed on the lock screen and thought that you would love to see that happen on your Android™ device? Well, I did and thus created this app - my first complete Android™ app.
It lets you create a list of apps that are allowed to light the screen up and show their notifications on it as a popup in front of your lock screen. You may restrict the creation of the notification popups per app and decide to only show notifications that contain keywords of your choice. Everything that it takes for it to work is its activation as an AccessibilityService.
But enough words are spoken now, here are some screenshots for you:

If you want to have a look at the source code, you can do this at Google Code, because this software is also free software (yes, "free" as in "freedom"), released under the GPLv3.
Oh yeah, as some (or most?) of you seem to highly appreciate that software doesn't contain ads, here comes the best thing for you: this app is ad free - on the one hand because I don't know how to incorporate ads in an app (and am way too less interested in doing so to find out how to achieve this) and on the other hand because I do this as a hobby and mostly for myself, I'm not out for making money with it. If you feel like this deserves a reward of some kind, there is a donate button, but
I would highly appreciate if someone could come up with an icon that I can use for this app, as I'm not much of a graphics guy and I've no idea for an icon myself.
Questions left? Just give it a try and I'm sure they will be answered. If not: this is a forum, leave your questions here, I'll do my best to answer them. Bug reports, ideas for the future and an icon are also welcome. :good:
Until then, enjoy! Yours TpmKranz.

Additional information
Changelog:
v1:
Initial release.
v1.1:
If you want to view a notification, you no longer have to unlock the screen manually (unless you have a secure lock screen, of course).
I removed logcat messages that were forgotten in the last release, including one that could infringe your privacy, so you better update.
v1.2:
Notification popups should be fixed now, they also resemble the actual notifications more.
v1.3:
Added ability to use a slider to interact with the notification popup. This is not completely mature, yet. It is usable and I didn't encounter any bugs, but it doesn't look very good at the moment.
Lowered minimum SDK version to 7 (runs on Android 2.1 now).
v1.4:
Made slider background customizable (defaults to 0xffffff on Android < 3, 0x181818 otherwise).
App picker is now sorted alphabetically.
v1.5:
Added ability to control if a notification lights up the display.
Added ability to default to an expanded view of a notification.
Squashed some bugs.
v1.6:
Added option for aggressive popups.
Added custom screen timeout for popups.
Reduced frequency of app list reloads.
Merged NotificationActivities (should have fixed bugs).
Added icon!!! Thanks to XDA Senior Member thesparky007!
v1.7
Increased frequency of checks for a working accessibility service.
Added localizations for German, Spanish (thanks, XDA Senior Member alejobog), Polish (thanks, XDA Senior Member trurl3) and Chinese (thanks, XDA Junior Member zxc123coke).
Changed icon, thank you XDA Junior Member taylorcoffelt!
v1.8
Added option to lock popup's orientation (locked by default).
Added option to allow Notify Me! to work during a call.
Added blacklist/whitelist switch to keyword filter.
Fixed some force closes.
Optimized keyword filtering.
Removed obsolete translations (Chinese, Polish, Spanish).
Added new translation (Italian).
v1.9
(Hopefully) fixed AccessibilityService (except the speech output, that's Samsung’s thing)!
Fixed bugs (especially on ICS).
Optimized aggressive popups and orientation locking.
Re-added Spanish, Polish and Chinese translations.
Added Turkish translation.
v1.9.1
Fixed 'missing slider interface and app lock-up' bug.
Just tested it, looking good!
Must have app! :good:
Only "problem" that I saw was not unlocking phone after tapping "View" on popup.
And is it possible to hide text from buttons seen on this screen http://i.imgur.com/anWg7Yx.png ? It is large and most of it can't be seen.

I already have an idea how to implement an unlock feature - give me some minutes and v1.1 could have it.
I don't think it would be possible to remove the text from the buttons, or at least it would be quite complicated and unreliable, as it's actually just the notification's View put in a Dialog and there is a high degree of freedom for developers to create an expanded notification's View - long story short: I don't think it's possible to exactly locate the button's Views and empty the text there, but I could give it a try, eventually.

Ok...noticed something in v1.1
The notification is there for a second or two, and suddenly it disappears and all I see is the lockscreen.
I am using CM10 on LG-P690
EDIT: This also happens if multiple notifications are received one after the other.
v1.1 working fine for me. :good:

For me, too. So the notification sound (vibration, etc...) fires off, the screen lights up, the notification popup appears, then disappears and never comes back again? And all without ANY interaction from you?
EDIT: Yeah, found the reason. I'm working on a fix.
EDIT2: It's a protection for cases when the system can't retrieve a notification's View to just don't show a popup (for which the View would be needed). I could reproduce it with Facebook Messenger's notifications - can you tell me which apps' notifications cause this for you?

Those Icons are dependent on the messaging app. I use Sliding Messaging Pro, which gives me the freedom to remove those buttons. Nothing of that sort is present in the stock app.

Re: [APP; 2.2+] Notify Me! (notifications on the lock screen) v1.1 3.3.13 [GPL]
Hello, Ive been testing it and have following things to say:
In next build could u sort app names alphabetically and make overall size a lil bigger?
If u can implement themes, it would be awesome.
One ques:Are missed calls notified? I havent found phone.apk in the list but Ive added contacts.apk and Im not notified of missed calls.
Good job and pl keep this available for 2.2+
"If I could I would, but I can't so I shan't."
Hello !
As an ex iOS user, I miss notifications all the time on my phone, even with the LED. This app is almost perfect.
I'd just like for the notification to disappear when the screen locks itself again, and have no button at all (since it already unlocked itself in my pocket, and I don't like using a code).
Since I'm a developer too, I might code it myself and throw an icon in the mix.

Sorting the app picker alphabetically is something I've been thinking about since my first app picker, but I never got a good idea how to achieve it. It will be implemented if I get a flash of genius for this problem. Themes? I don't actually know what you want to theme. Sure, if you find the right app in the picker, your missed call notification will be caught by this app, given that the screen is off or locked when the notification is spawned.

Making notifications disappear when the screen gets locked again would be no problem, I guess, but I don't know what you mean by the "no button at all" thing. Anyways, I would love to get an icon!

By no button at all, I mean removing "Dismiss" and "View". More like iOS, you see ? There are no buttons, and the action requires you to slide on the icon. i'll pull the code and play with it this afternoon.

Ah, I see. Sliding the icon would be a little too iOS for me, apart from the fact that I don't have the slightest clue how to implement something like this. Having no buttons could be quite stylish, if I think about it, but I don't know if a slider would be the right thing for this job. If you have some clever idea, please let me know.

I definitely love the idea of this app, it needs some work but sure it's a great start, in having and issue, when I get an sms, I click expand, then I click "read" so it will mark it as read, instead of vanishing, the screen flickers and the notification appears again, like I never hit "read" only way of actually get rid of it is by clicking view :s

Your issue has something to do with the way this app works. It is not intended to react to clicks on that buttons. The popup just intends to be an exact recreation of a notification, including buttons, etc... plus the "Dismiss", "Expand/Collapse" and "View" buttons. By tapping one of the notification's own buttons, the actual notification could disappear, but as I can't know for sure how the notification-spawning app's developer implemented the expanded notification, it would be quite premature to just dismiss the popup on an interaction. To achieve this, you don't necessarily have to hit "View", that's actually the purpose of the "Dismiss" button. As you are on 4.2, you can also tap outside the popup to dismiss it.

Oh I'm not fond of the slide icon like iOS, I just mean a way to prevent accidental touches on these buttons
I don't know how public the API is, but I like the lockscreen ring. Slide left to dismiss, Right to view.
The phone app uses the same (well, maybe it just tells the lockscreen that it is ringing ...)
Maybe it's possible to use it without adding a lot of code.

The DeskClock (alarm) app uses it, too (at least in 4.2) but I don't know how it's implemented and digging in Android's sources will surely bring up something with an API level >= 17 (if public at all, as you mentioned).
A short Google search brought me to this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8629535/implementing-a-slider-in-android
I can imagine that it can be bent for this, but I'm not sure how this will look. You see, I try to make the app look like it belongs to the system it's used on, thus only use designs that adapt theirselves to the used platform, e.g. the android.R.drawable resources, which are provided by the framework the app is running on. I don't think that it will be possible to create a slider which easily integrates in the user interface of every Android flavor. Do you have a concrete idea at the moment? If not, I would start brainstorming about the SeekBar approach.

[APP][4.3+][C Notice]Floating Notification

Allow me to introduce my app here:
<<I created my apps mainly based on "C"onvenience and "C"ustomization. that's what my app's name "C" stands for>>
C Notice:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ccs.notice&ah=dTx4mbmLYrMc6lw9MjuDlXRLp7A
Receive floating notifications from selected applications and keep track of everything that is important to you, all without needing to access your phone's status bar and directly from the lock screen. Experience a very clean & simple floating window design with a unique colored header display. Upon receiving a new notification C Notice displays a visual reminder of the individual application in the form of a floating icon. All notification icons float on top of any other application and can therefore be accessed and interacted with at any time you want, until dismissed. Make additional use of swipe gestures on icons to trigger quick actions (open, expand, dismiss,...) and interact with notifications of all kind with ease.

really nice app !
But would be nice to have the option : not showing notification over lock screen.....
Hey OP I just got done buying the pro key and leaving you 5* on Play Store...came over here to tell you that I am seriously in love with your app.
It really used to be such a pain in the ass accessing the status bar/notification panel on my OnePlus One, my fingers are not long enough to just swipe it without having to move my whole hand, and your app has solved this problem. Besides that, the ability to see my notifications floating windows without having to open the entire app saves so much time. This is definitely one of my favorite apps so thanks again, and anyone who sees this but has not installed the app yet, go check it out, it's great!!!
(BTW I'm on Mahdi ROM 4.4.4, stock kernel, tons of Xposed modules and scripts running and haven't experienced any compatibility issues w/ this app)

Love the app, been looking for something with the bubble part of the Halo functions
Been working with it last two weeks or so, found a bug, or what I think is a bug - play store notifications gets auto cleared.
Great app!
Great app, thx a lot! But, is it ok for this app to consume almost 200 Mb of RAM?

I love this app, I missed halo but liked having MW and PW that stock based Samsung ROMs give and this gives me a halo feel. Could it be possible to have a feature that if you do have Pen Window, when you click the notification the app would open in a pen window? Even if you made it a premium feature I'd pay for that.
I've been using C Notice and C Locker for a few days. Both have great potential, both well worth to buy the premium version.
Focusing on C Notice, it can be a very viable replacement for Floatification. As I've read and experienced, the dev for Floatification is not all that responsive and it's been buggy. Searching for a more capable replacement is what led me to C Notice.
A few requests:
1) Allow the notice/popup to directly delete (for example, Gmail) messages, and directly reply on those apps that have those functions in the notification bar.
2) Have a separate setting for timeout for lockscreen and unlocked. This is how I want to use it: Lockscreen--the display DOES NOT turn on automatically, but when I turn on the screen, I want to see the notifications. After a period, I want the notification to timeout and go away--this is so that the screen will automatically turn off. As you know, if C Notice stays on the lock screen, the display won't turn off. This is useful if I bumped my phone and the screen turned on. This way, it will turn off automatically after a few seconds.
While I am using the phone--I want C Notice to appear and not timeout until I act on it. When I am in the application that initiated the notification, though, I do not want C Notice to pop up (very simlar to a function available in Floatification).
If the above two are implemented, C Notice can completely replace Floatification.
3) For future consideration--to allow seperate Gmail and Hangouts notification--allow the selection of specific Gmail accounts and lables and specific Hangouts accounts for notification.
I'd gladly pay several times the current premium price....
Thanks for your work.
I had C Notice on my Samsung 3 and, so I thought, it would ring back at set times for reminders that I had not dismissed. Now, in my Note 5 I cannot find the option. Have I lost my mind?
How do I Uninstall c notice
Can You make the same style of round notification i cnotice as in the clocker? Now on cloker I can watch a preview of sms email etc. and have the contact photo on notify icon. On cnotice I have the number of unread notifications but not on cloker.
Please make same options in both of Your apps.
Is it possible to enable/disable this app from for example Tasker?
Regards Peter
Could you add quick reply feature like in Floatify?

That's is strange, it's related to the fact that Samsung has it's own alarm, it is not that easy to tract that event. But we will do our best to solve this.
Cool App!
Although one thing that bugs me: After a reboot, the screen is black and only after I pulled down the status bar and clicked on something, the PINCode Pattern appears.
awesome!! I really like it. This is the type of lockscreen I looked for a long time
One thing that buggs me is, if I swipe to the right, it dismisses the last article so that I can't get back to it.
Also it would be nice to have an animation to the pattern lock. instead of it just popping up
**EDIT**
Also it would be nice to include Notifications or space for a widget (to use external notification widget-apps)
nice app!
flat design, fast and nice.

I'm glad you like it. To go back, press the "+" button and the press "back". We still have not added it to the guide so it's a bit complicated.
And yes, there will be the animation for the lock screen, in the next update I hope!

I'm glad you like is. That's a weird bug, I'll try to trace it and fix it for the next update.
Looks beautiful, will give it a try!

simply beauty keep it up! :good:
this will be an amazing app.
Just gave it a quick try: and I love it. It's a little bit laggy on my z2 but I'm sure that will be fixed in future version. Keep the good work up and I'll buy it when iits ready!

I'm glad you like it. It is a bit laggy on some devices, and it's weird. Trying to figure it out. The funny thing that it's not hardware related issue, maybe kernel or ROM settings. Since it's buttery smooth on my Moto G 2013
Very nice app. Produces pretty lockscreens. BUT it prevents Daydreams working in CM12 and I don't want the distraction of attractive news feeds facing me when I'm using the phone in my desk dock.

Is daydream a part of your standard lock screen? Also, have you tried AcDisplay app? As far as I know Corgi works ok with AcDisplay. I'll take a look if this can be fixed though!
The potential is big with this one.
Hi there!
You've piqued my interest for this app so much that I decided to sign up on XDA and post here, even though I've been using it for almost 5 years. Please continue development and make this even more awesome.
A Bug report:
Phone: Oneplus One
ROM: Euphoria ROM by Mahdi (CM12 base)
DPI: 408
I faced a critical bug somehow while running this app.
After I installed the app, everything ran smoothly until this error started showing up every two seconds.
Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped

(I looked into this error on the internet and the most common reason seemed to be due to a problem with Contacts. But as this error popped up just minutes after I installed this app, I thought otherwise.)
Whatever I tried, it went in vain. I tried rebooting the phone, clearing the data and cache for this app and all that. Zilch. The issue vanished, though, the second I uninstalled this app. No offense but I think there is a possibility that it might have something to do with your app. If I'm wrong, I'm all ears. I'm not very well versed in anything here.
Things I loved:
The animations
The way the app opened up a temp browser to display the entire content
The clean interface
Things that can be improved:
Lock pattern integration (Animation and more options)
The ability to show the Navigation bar translucently instead of going immersive. This is frustrating a little as when ever I pull down the status bar, the nav bar comes up as well causing the lockscreen to seemingly stutter to accommodate the change. I hope you get this.
The color filter that you superimpose over the article while turning the screen on is nice, but can get rather striking at times. I think it would be better if the colors were a little subdued and if the images had a factor of blurriness in them to make the items like Date and Time on the lockscreen more legible.
An option to view the newsfeed as a stream of news articles by swiping up and down.
I see that there is a default image that you use for articles that do not have one? I request you to use a nicer one Because I see a busy street somewhere in Asia as the default pic and it isn't doing justice to the good aesthetics of this app
Thanks a ton for this app. If some of the issues here and there are ironed out, I don't see why it wouldn't become my daily driver!

Firstly, thank you for you feedback! It's great to see that the app made you interested. Concerning your bug, we will take a look at it. If you could send us a log, that would be great. To do so, after the crash go to the Corgi app, swipe right and press "Leave Feedback". When you send it, it will attach a log, this helps us to trace crashes etc.
Concerning your feedback. The immersive more, color filter, lock patter animations, will be there once we have menu settings fully ready. We just need some more time. News feed as a stream is something bothering our minds for a while now. We will have it, but not soon. There are some ideas, but we have to rewrite the whole app for that
notifications?
Is there any plans for showing notifications on top of the news items ?

daydream is baked-in feature of CyanogenMOd based roms (not sure if it's the AOSP source). It simply initiates one of a number of pre-set functions when plugged-in, docked or both, after a given unused elapsed time.
I've never used AcDisplay - never needed to as Daydream normally works fine. I'm not keen on installing additional apps to bring back functionality lost or inhibited by others - that way you just clog you system up with more and more useless code.
I will certainly drop back and see if this issue gets fixed though as I do like your app
Cheers

First of all thank you. This is a beautiful app that truly defines how beautiful an app can be following material design guidelines. I hope to see more features in it soon. so far so good. Animations are smooth and nice. Layout is excellent. Color layers are gorgeous.
Now after using this app for a couple of hours here are a few things that could be improved.
- When I turn the screen ON my notification drop down panel is extended. I have to swipe up to make it go away and look at the news articles on lock screen. Reading your comment above [quoted] doesn't seem like its intended behavior.
- Reading an article by swiping up on lock screen or moving to another article by swiping left doesn't mark that article as "read". Which means that if I go back to Feedly, all articles I have scrolled past on Corgi are still there. It would be better if this functionality can be added.
- Lock screen runs in "immersive mode". Which means if I swipe up from the bottom of screen I can make the navigation bar to show. However one I make it appear and click on any navigation key it sticks to the screen and doesn't go away.
Feature Request:
I have a lot of feeds coming into Feedly. Is it possible to "pin" a single feed or multiple to show on lock screen instead of all feeds? Plus if the order of feeds could be re-arranged inside Corgi would be really nice to have feature.
Device Info: Oneplus One
Rom: Tuga Power (CM12) vs 55
DPI: 500 (on this DPI this lockscreen is absolutely beautiful and smooth).
Once again, great work and keep the updates coming.
