[ROOT] ZTE MD Smart (this method is not working) - Miscellaneous Android Development

If you need to root your device go here
Finally, after two weeks of sleepless nights I managed to get administrator privileges on the ZTE Smart MD. To achieve this I used two scripts. In an effort to make things simple I have integrated them in "superoneclick".
STEPS:
1) Install usb drivers, try these
2) Download the Superuser app from the google play and install.
3) Download "SuperOneClickv2.3.3-For_ZTE_MD_Smart" and extract it
4) Run SuperOneClick, choose "rageagainstthecage-arm5" exploit and try to root!
5) If it doesn't works try to choose "exploid2-arm5" first try to root and then without removing the phone from the usb choose "rageagainstthecage-arm5" script and try again.
This is my lucky result:

Yes! I sold my phone in september and I stopped to working on it, but last week I bought another one and I started again to work on it! :victory:
Now I have ported twrp and cwm recovery and I'm starting to build the first custom rom for it. Unfortunally my backup doesn't work so I can't recover my phone with it....
I need a help, can someone send me a copy of the whole system folder? with the system folde I will recover my phone and I will cook the first custom rooted rom for this device! :good:
edit: now I have the system folder and I'm working to cook a stock rooted rom

finally I succeeded, I got the root! I have also created the first recovery and the first rom for this device. You can find all here!

rooting garmin asus a50..noob style

hi,im a noob to android and my first step into the pool is the garmin asus a50..
yesterday i decided to root the phone
i installed a file manager
i installed titanium back up and ran it
i installed z4root and rooted
i installed super user
i installed root explorer.
all went well until i started deleting all the optus bloatwear,facebook ciao etc
i did a reboot of the fone and a msg came up stating a google file couldnt be opened,apart from that all was well..
so i decided i needed a restore to start again,i couldnt work out how to restore from titanium so i did a master reset and reinstalled the software off the garmin site..
i want to try this again...this time ill just root and root explore.
has anyone got any tips or ideas for me..
where i went wrong before etc
cheers
guys whats happening? lol
everybody is ruining the bastard. ha ha
mine is broken too, a50, i rooted the damn brick with faulty app, then it got slow and unstable, so i did the master reset, wow. now a virus warning stacks on the screen after start up and pin code, saying the battery cover is open and ask for restart, crazy retarded.
so it doesnt let me to do anything.
I need to install the ROM via USB plug, anyone got an idea if it works? Im actually mushroom, so I need to know which Rom is good, like 2.1 update works? and can pour the rom into its chip using USB cable?and if yes, how should I do it.
Plug the phone into the wall or computer.
power it off.
Hold the D-Pad left while powering the phone back on.
"Wipe Userdata" should appear on the screen. Let go, and let it run.
It will restore the phone to factory settings, including all software.

[UNBRICK & ROM & ROOT] G9300 {e1920_v77_zlh_fwvga}

New version of tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288124
[ROM & ROOT]
Here we are going to install a mix of two ROMs in order to make the phone usable again..
You need to download these files;
SP Flash Tool;
http://www57.zippyshare.com/v/6833714/file.html
e1901;
http://www.4shared.com/file/9bsP-vQV/
e1920 (this should be original system, but when you install just this,
some red triangle appears and system will not continiue to load, so just do it like I will show you in this tutorial);
http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=506476&uk=4178083362
Then, first you need to flash entire e1901 ROM to your phone, using flash tool..
After that you will need to flash only first six parts of e1920 ROM, it is shown in Pic0;
Pic0

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also then download this; http://www47.zippyshare.com/v/70264800/file.html
Flash that recovery.img alone without any other part of ROM (that is Clockworkmod Recovery PORT)..
Now download this file; http://www47.zippyshare.com/v/52522093/file.html
That is ROOT for your phone, you need to put that file on your SD card and then put battery in your cellphone, pres Volume UP and Power Button together, that will send you to CWM recovery, from there install that file from your SD card, and restart your phone..
If it forces you to CWMR, just flash again the first six parts of e1920 ROM, and when you start your phone it should work fine..
But now You will have to SET your IMEI number becouse this is factory ROM, I am actually not sure how to do that, becouse I did not need that ( ..I have my CWM backups from before.. ..) ..so on that one you are on your own, but yes now you have ROOTed working phone again so it should not be that difficult to pull that off..
[UNBRICK]
Now I will post some pictures on how to unbrick your phone in case you get it hard bricked by trying out some other ROMs..
You will need to conect KCOLO and GND(or any other ground surfice on the phone), connect your phone with USB and start flashing the ROMs (like it is explained earlyer), pictures showing how to connect your phone and create a "jumper" are Pic1 and Pic2;
Pic1
Pic2
This will make your phone usable again.. and it is very stable.. maybe later I will try to make even better ROM, but for now this is it..
Special thanx to Mr. Dirk from ColonelZAP who helped me with unbricking the phone!!!
If this little tutorial helpd you just remember to hit THANX button.
*** UPDATE ***
Okay here is the way to enter you imei number;

It will work for sure!

This is a tested & safer rooting guide to root your Karbonn Titanium S200 HD :cyclops:
You can root your phone without any PC. If fails, Try rooting on Windows.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PHONE, ROOTING VOIDS WARRANTY! :good:
Rooting Procedure:
1. Download latest Kingroot apk from http://www.kingroot.net and install on your phone.
2. Do not run unnecessary apps on your phone, connect your phone to internet and open Kingroot app.
3. Kingroot will automatically check your device and gonna show you rooting strategy, try root strategy & wait until it reaches 100% have patience. Do not minimize Kingroot or do not let your screen turned off.
4. Your phone may restart before reaching 100% rooting :cyclops: do not panic, try again! rooting will be resumed.
5. If rooting fails, then restart your phone and try again rooting with Kingroot. Sometimes first attempt fails.
6. I was able to root my S200 HD on second attempt. If you are facing problems while rooting with Kingroot app then download Kingroot for Windows & install on your PC.
7. Turn on USB debugging on your S200 HD. You can enable this option in "developer options". Your phone must be switched on. And then connect to your PC via USB cable.
8. Your PC should be connected to internet. Now, open Kingroot on your Windows on click on root.
It will take few minutes, your phone may restart many times while rooting, no need to worry about it. Wait until you see rooting successful!

it's really weird, I've succesfully flashed 920F (International) without any problem multiple times. I can flash stock rom so it's not hardware's fault. Am i missing some simple newbie step?

my device is sm920A . it is at&t . i cannot find oem unlocker
Possible Solution to Odin "failed" messaged whilst flashing
Warm greetings to all.
I have previously encountered this problem before, ive tried clearing the cache and formatting with still no luck
Eventually I wanted to try something, I loaded my software I wanted to flash on a USB.
I then used an OTG adapter to connect the usb to my phone. I then booted into the recovery ( I have TWRP) and chose install from external storage. To my surprise it worked.
NOTE: I am not sure if this method will work on stock recoveries. Also if you have an external hard drive it works as well
Also note. My S6 is an international version i believe G925F
Wishing you all the best of luck if I was not able to help

How should I go about rooting my Galaxy a10e

So I got the first step, flashing TWRP. But, there's only a version of TWRP for the a10, would this work?
you don't really need twrp for root, just follow this guide
Installation
The Magic Mask for Android

I have previously tried Kingo/King Root which worked on my KitKat Nabi tablet, I tried that on my a10e it failed. Root checker says there is no root for andr 11 on the a10e
whatever you do, do NOT use kingoroot, it basically installs a outdated version of SuperSU (which isn't liked by the community anymore because the original developer sold it to some random company) and bloats ur system up.
Yep, no OEM bootloader unlock option in dev settings
it may be possibly locked to your carrier. again, you can send me a screen recording or get an unlocked phone
My phone appears to be unlocked already, there is no sign of Verizon still being on here. I have since upgraded phones and the SIM card isn't in anymore.
Do I have to factory reset to fully get rid of the OEM?
i found this youtube video with some quick searching. it's in hindi but you can get the gist of it.
I most certainly dont have to disable automatic time right?
i don't know, after you get the option maybe you can set it back
i followed and nothing happened
did you reboot your phone after the fact?
yep, nothing works
