Hello, I have problem with driver MediaTek DA USB VCOM. I have succesfuly instelled it. But when I plug my phone ZTE V970 in device manager it will show up for like half a sec then dissapear. So I cant flasg the phone since the SP flash tool cant see the path.
I also tried intall it via SD card. But when it goes to recovery (all in chinese) And I try to intall it by choosing the right ROM it will give the the answer that ROM file cannot be opened. The ROM is from XDA and in .7z format and I also found the .zip format. both didnt work.
I think if i can manage to tell my PC to see the driver then I can easily flash it. I am stuck on this step for few days already.
Also tried 2 another PCs and still didnt work.
I am runnig win7 64bit system.
Can someone please tell me where is the problem?
Thank you very much.
got the driver details
I managed in that half sec to click on the driver and look at the details. It gave me this:
Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.
The driver name is: MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM port (COM3)
Even after updating it and choosing the right driver (also from this forum).
When I turn phone up I will get that theres new device Android MT65xx and code 10.
I have exactly the same problem
I have exactly the same problem, how did you solve it eventually?

Problem is MT driver
IFor Windows 8, I installed MT driver force install of un-signed drivers , now its not showing yellow icon in device management but it comes for few seconds and disappears. If I connected phone with battery inserted, MT driver comes and disappears in device management. Due to this problem I am not able to update from 4.1 to 4.2, Can we update from Mobileuncle software, if not please suggest solution for this problem
Problem solved, even though it comes and goes, it doesn't affect flashing. I updated to 4.2.1

ignore this error
Ignore this message. If your PC has no other tablet drivers, it will flash. I end up using a pristine PC to flash a new ROM. The steps are correct. If you have no other PC, use USBDeview to delete suspicious driver.
Good luck.

It may be a driver issue. If you want to try, download Android Flash Recovery ( link in my signature ). It also contains a driver installer for these devices. The only reason I'm saying this is because I know those drivers work with these devices. I am running Windows 7 64 bit too There are also detailed instructions on how to properly install the drivers.
I think that installing the driver we use for rooting our phone will solve the problem

This is the process that worked with my phone, first uninstall all of the drivers, then reboot the computer, then install the driver, but don't connect your phone, afterwards boot manually into fasboot and connect it to the computer, let the driver install...
Does it worked?

Do you have generic Android drivers installed from the Android SDK? From your screen shot in post #6, and your last screen shot, your device is not identifying itself correctly or you have driver collusion. When the 'Searching for Drivers' window pops up the first item should say "LGE Android USB ???", "???" is cause I don't remember the rest
I'm beginning to think you may have multiple "Android" drivers installed, thus the problem. Generic Android USB drivers as well as the LG Android drivers. Uninstall all of them. Reboot your PC. Run the LGE Driver Setup program and let it do its thing. Reboot your PC. Power off your device, trust me. Plug your USB cable into the PC first. Now plug the other end in to your device. Power on the device. Hopefully this will get you headed in the right direction.
Yesterday i bricked my device trying to change the rom, preloader problem i guess because the phone doenst turn on. So i connected to the pc and the usb connect and disconnect automatically after a second, i install the mtk drivers and never change. It just make the windows sound and later disconnect.
I dont know what to do to fix this, i try different cables and nothing change, btw im using windows 8.1 and I disabled the option of install signed drivers.
¿Drivers problem maybe?
P.D: Sorry for my english, its not my native lenguage

Just use this software and grab http://nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
find the misleads of software and remove them then install the mtk drivers
I think this may solve your driver problems

Did you solved the problem?
I have the same with leagoo lead 2, but it bricked during OTA update!
I tried to downgrade the kitkat version because I couldn't update my apps, using a flash tool.
It then shut down and now does not turn on at all. When I plug into the computer the USB gets into a cycle/loop of connect and disconnect. Please help me if you have the time.

I used this one.
forums (dot) lenovo (dot) com/t5/A-and-P-Series/Lenovo-A536-stuck-during-firmware-upgrade/td-p/1744571[/url]
I downloaded the latest firmware from
"THIS is the latest original ROW firmware (PC Flash Tool installation)"
This whole guide was fine, it worked for me.
But the problem was when I tried to downgrade the firmware to an older version.
I tried to replace the lastest official firmware with this one ROM Android 4.4.2 (older official needrom(dot)com/download/lenovo-a536/
sorry can't link websites yet

Thank you so much for staying with me to solve this problem. The phone is fixed.
I followed the
"
For MT6575/ 77
With the battery out, hold the volume up, don't let go & plug in the USB cable will activate META mode for few seconds...Typically, you need to click Download at SP Flash Tool before entering META mode or it will auto disconnected...
"
except I downloaded the lenovo a536 stock rom.
the only thing I did different was that I plugged in (META MODE) and THEN pressed download or else the usb would never be detected (they both show different COM numerals.)
After that I firmly held the whole usb into the phone during the whole flashing, or else it might get automatically disconnected again.
Then I updated/upgraded to the latest firmware, And it is all optimal. :good:
THANKS AGAIN !!!

I have similar problem
Hi, please I need your help. I tried to flash stock ROM but I hard bricked my phone. When I connect phone with computer I'm holding volume up button. In device manager it shows "MediaTek USB Port (COM4)" but after three seconds it disconnect. This is why I can't flash ROM. It's everytime disconnect after three seconds.. Please help me.
Lenovo A536
Please help me guys, where is GND and COLO point of lenovo a536
same problem
i have a lenovo a536 and when i flash the stock
it goes to a cycle of off and on , help me to fix this
ive tried a lot of stock roms i searched, and none of them worked , the cycle of turning off and on is still there
Recently i tried flashing cwm recovery using sp flash tools. I followed an online tutorial which asked me to specifically download the boot. Img (patched) and recovery. Img, which was cwm. I insatlled all the drivers as asked then I turned off my device as asked and connected the device using usb cable after pressing the download button on sp flash tools. After a few seconds i saw the red line which is the starting of the flashing process, and then i received an error 'b_rom error" or something like that... I forgot, i dont have screenshot .
The phone is not responding since then, but when i connect the phone to my laptop the phone is recognised as 'mediatek da com port' but this driver doesnt work if i want to flash the stock rom using the sp flash tools, the internet says that i need the 'mediatek preloader driver' which is supposed to appear for 2 seconds in the device manager section and dissapear, but alas this doesnt appear in my case, and i guess this is really important for flashing the stock rom using sp flash tools. I tried many ways to install the mtk preloader driver but even of it installs it is not compatible with my device. I cant find this driver and hence i cant bring my phone back from the dead
If any member could help me here i would be really thankful , i have the stock rom downloaded and all the drivers as asked in various tutorials so i am helpless now. Please someone respond to this thread...
My device is xolo 8x 1000i with mediatek 6592 octacore chip.

If you can see DA VCOM port when u connect the phone that means there is no need of mtk preloader to appear. You can try flashing the stock firmware.
If you really want to see mtk preloader 65xx, then right click on DA vcom port and click uninstall drivers. Then you will see mtk preloader 65xx for 2 seconds everytime you connect the phone.
Gud luck
