Why would your music get deleted? Just store it on your PC and transfer the files over as needed.

Or you can use google music if you always have internet connection

Well I am about to update my wife's ROM with a updated version! So I need a cloud or a app that will save it then put it on their like before!!!!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Updating your Rom does not delete music or anything on the sdcard....
If you have to backup music either use dropbox, box, or google music
A pc is a much better alternative

OK which app for the PC or do I use HTC sync

Just mount it as USB storage then drag and drop the files onto your pc

Camera sound swap

So I've managed changing my unlock and lock audio but when i took the same approach for the camera sound, it failed.
Does anyone know how to properly change the audio?

system/media/audio/ui/
camera_click.ogg
VideoRecord.ogg

Which is the same way to change the unlock and lock sound but it doesn't work the same way. I've changed it and cleared my cache and cleared both cache with dalvik. Can Anyone help?

You're right! Tried everything myself. Got it now! Extract the app and go to camera/res/raw. There you can change the sounds and reinstall the app. On stock android modifying system/media/ui works.

I'm on stock Android but i will try the first method.

Sorry, I was talking about the htc camera.apk, forgot to say that
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
I got it but how do i turn it into an apk once it's been extracted?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda premium
Repack it with apktool. http://code.google.com/p/android-apktool/
You can also rezip it using rootexplorer etc. Then change the .zip to .apk in the file name
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Zipping it and changing the extension didn't work for me. I'll try the apk tool when i get home

No, not really. It would probably require disassembling the whole senseUI and find the correct stuff etc...

Problem with camera app

Whenever I take a picture the picture isn't saved. This happens on both the sense camera and the android 4.2 one. I'm on viperxl with elemental.

Maybe the folder / directory path is corrupt, a format would help? Or change the default path if possible, assuming that there's available memory. I would also install some other camera apps from the market and check that way.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Can you tell me how to format?

Also, use ES File Explorer to see where the images are being saved. Ran into this problem with my gf's One S.

I can find my pics in DCIM/100MEDIA but they don't appear in gallery
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I think this problem isn't just with the camera apps. I think it's applications getting access to the files because I downloaded some songs and they appear in their folder but they don't appear in Poweramp or jet audio. Same thing with the camera they appear in their folder but not in gallery.
