I have installed the latest RUU on my DS, the problem I am facing is i cant tab to save or call phone numbers contained in my mms and sms.
Before ICS everything is fine, after upgrading I have this bug. Is anyone facing the same problem? Any solution or bug fix to this?

It's well known problem of last update. AFAIK you cannot fix this without root and changing build.prop file. You can also use third party sms app like handcent or go sms.
i just highlight (long press), copy and paste. disgustingly unelegant but it works
Maybe its time for me to root my phone.

I have a TP still running the stock ROM (with various fixes for GPS and Voip) which all seemed to be working OK until a few days ago the messaging app just stopped working ie: unable to open the app to an email acc or to view sms's...not receiving sms's (or at least no notification).
Running a task manger I can see poutlook.exe is running and i have tried running tmail.exe in the windows folder thro file explorer but it doesnt seem to run.
Does anyone have any sugesstions (other than a hard reset or flashing a new ROM) on what else I can try to resolve this problem? as I would like to fix the problem without losing any messages if possible
Found the cause of the problem to be a corrupt memory card....backed up the essential data and a quick reformat of the card solved the problem....(just for anyone that may have the same problem)

I have a problem with my messages app, sometimes it completely crashes :
Here are the symptoms :
- I have the messages list, but when I want to open one, I have the "loading.." but nothing happen
- Sometimes when I want to send a message, it doesn't work. I push the send button, the sending windows appears something like 300ms but my message isn't sent
- And recently, when I configure to see only 1 line of preview, after a crash it set it back to 2.
Each time I have to turn my phone off and on again to make it work again
I have tried other apps like handcent and goSms, I tried a factory reset but the problem remain..
My phone is rooted and i have a custom rom (the probleme was here before i rooted it, I though a new rom might resolve it and after 3 nothing has changed)
I'm starting to think it's hardware.. in this case I'll try the warranty..

Have you tried changing to another radio image maybe it's caused be signaldrop or something like this?

Btw, apps like gosms,.... can't solve your problem, they're set up on the build in SMS app and only provide a different user interface

Since my device completely crashed, I re-installed it. (HTC HD2/NexusHD2 ICS CM9)
I encounter one big problem: my contacts and the telephone option both don't work at all! They stop working as soon as I try to open them..
Although I'm very glad that all other options work again, calling is still a pretty essential part of my telephone
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Addition, what's app and messages do find my contacts, but I can't approach them in a normal way so I don't know how to call either

I have a Realme GT ME (although this problem might not be device specific as no one else has had this) which I bought a couple of months ago. Everything is working fine, got the new OS update as well but one thing that is not working is SMS. Also only when SMS is generated from another app.
Normal SMS is working fine. I can send and recieve them. Only when another app tries to send and SMS, say for some verification, it instantly fail. However if I try to send the same SMS again by tapping it to retry, it work fine. I have no clue why this is happening. I have tried and ruled out most of the probable causes,
1. Sim is working fine since normal SMS works
2. It isn't the messageing app since I have tried installing a different one.
3. The SMS issue is caused in all app hence it is not app specific.
Hence it has to be something to do with the OS or the SMS service. I'd really appeciate if someone would be able to help me.

I've got a problem. Suddenly a couple of apps won't recognize any sound when using the microphone, e.g. WhatsApp. When I want to record a WhatsApp voice message the app does not record any sound. The sent message is completely silent. Strangely it does work when the screen recorder is running, presumably because the microphone is activated by the recorder. Has anybody an idea why that could happen? It worked till a couple of days ago.
I am on the current Android 12 Version on the latest patch (01.05.).

This is a guess. WhatsApp may have lost the "Allow Use Microphone" permission.
Newer versions of Android can revoke permissions if it wants.
Usually in Settings there is an App Permissions option. Or, long-click the icon and press the "I" for information. You may be able to view/set permissions from there.
This is only a guess - where I would look first.
Sorry, I forgot to mention, that it does have the permission to use the microphone.
WhatsApp Calls, Video recording, ... do work. The problem only occures with voice messages.
As I said, WhatsApp isn't the only App that does not work, there are a couple more, that all the sudden so not recognize the microphone anymore.
I had similar problem with my zflip 3 . I sugest you to make a diagnostic with the samsung members aplication. My secundary microphone was broken , so I had to replace the charging port card (sub pba) .
I don't have a solution but this exact thing, has just happened to me today too! You are the first person I've found with the same problem! Have you heard anything yet? Or had any luck? I've gone as far as to do a full factory reset and still nothing.
Were you able to fix it?

Nope still broken. Samsung have offered to look at it under warranty but would need it for 2 weeks so I'm waiting until that's viable!
