Hi all
I took about 10 photos on Xmas day and this morning I went to look at them and they had vanished? I do not have Google auto back up on, I like to back up the ones I want in my own time and put them into albums.
They were defiantly there on Xmas night because i seen then but now vanished!
Anyone experienced this before?
Gutted I have lost Xmas day snaps

Hey , just try to recover your data using any windows program.
First you need to connect your device on PC as in mass storage mode ( it may vary depends upon your device and don't ask me how . Google is your master , just search) . Using the recovery program such as Recuva .

You can't connect an n5 as mass storage, OP, don't waste your time trying. It uses a fuse file system. Mtp and ptp are the only things you can connect to the pc

But some developers did that . Some months ago I read a thread on internet about the same thing . On that thread they provide an app which helps to mount the device as mass storage . I don't know more about it , but you can check it wheather it's working or not .

This!
Although there are some apps if rooted such as "disk digger" which can do similar things as windows recovery tools directly on the phone itself. People have mixed success with this.
