Of course, just make sure you wipe cache and dalvik first.

I am getting official support for my touch recovery in the CWMR touch installer app in the market but i need to know all the ways this phone identifies itself.
Mine says ro.product.device=skyrocket but i know some say ro.product.device=SGH-I727.
are there any different ones?

Will the amaze 4g's radio work on the skyrocket? The uclac 4 radio is kind of misleading... but I've heard he amaze 4gs radio is pretty accurate. I've tried the uclac 5 but it wouldn't playback audio

Give blaze 4g a shot. That's what I use. This is the first time I've heard mention of the amaze

I'm using the nexus mod ROM on ICS.
Never flash a galaxy s ii ROM. However, the Tmobile galaxy s ii and our phone are so similar we can flash stuff between (that blaze 4g flash was meant for the t mobile phone).
I'm not sure about LTE. I'm betting it does work, you'll just have to flash and see. The first boot will take a very long time. I'm running this flash, I can confirm it won't brick. But I would still suggest making a nandroid backup.

You can simply flash the latest firmware zip an you will have firmware an radios for ota.

Just fastboot flash the nobootfirmware.zip an you will be all set. You will have new radios r included an if you flash that zip no reflashing of recovery will be needed..
