Bit of a bizarre one here. My old woman, bless her, plays on a certain android game, Pocket Empires (personally I don't see the appeal)
Anyway she has 2 accounts and wants to run the other account on my xoom, problem is it is a wifi only xoom with no imei. The game links to the imei apparently.
The question is, does anyone know of a way of getting her (crappy) game to work on the wifi only xoom?
Cheers peeps.

It works on wifi only xoom. I went to google play and installed the online version to test playability, no problems.

Hello Guys .
I have a question to smart guys , about playing counter strike on HTC HD2 .
Is there any chances to get well working counter strike on HD2 ?
For controll we can use dualshock 3 ( cobaltcontroller ) , for example left analogic stick for walking , right for aim .
I think it could be nice

+1 On this!
BTW, do you actually have Counter Strike running on your HD2? If so could you kindly point me to instructions on how to get it working? Counter Strike has always been an awesome game!
It most likely wouldn't be possible to do this, since it would require windows XP, and running any thing that intensive in an emulator would produce undesired results. This sounds awesome, but unless they can port this over fully and then have some way of connecting to steam this wouldn't work. Which I doubt anyone can port this over fully, since the phone has completely different hardware than regular computers, because of course its a phone.

Yeah, I thought so. I knew it seemed kind of far-fetched to be able to get such a game ported. Oh well. Well at least reading this thread helped me find out about the Cobalt Controller App. I had been desperately seeking an app to pair a PS3 controller with my HD2! Yippee!
Cobalt Controller App? Explain? Im interested.

Well, I haven't tried it yet. I am at work, but you can check it out here.
Looks promising. It says you should be able to use it with FPSECE too! I can't wait to try this out!
And why wouldn't you be able to run Counter Strike without XP? I used to be able to run quake 3 on my Fuze and I'm sure I can make it run on the HD2 the only real reason I haven't tried in the lack of a hardware keyboard. Since the Sony controller is now working I might start looking into again.

Awesome! I would love to see the progress on this. Keep us updated if you don't mind.
It's nothing I'm really concerned with and since I don't have a Sony controller I don't think I'll be working on it anytime soon. If you would like to try and give it a run just do some searches for Quake3 and you will find all the info you need.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your post. I thought you were talking about Counter Strike. I haven't tried Q3A with the HD2 yet either, but I do have it on my Nexus One, and play it with the Wii Remote, and I also have it on my N900. I really don't need another device to play it with. Two is enough for me.
This will NEVER be possible... The only chance would be to write a steam client and a hl-engine for Windows Mobile

vegito...where exactly are you from? cause i live in a place called hockinson, and we call it h-town, and someone i know is deployed in iraq right now from h-town...trying to see if there is any connection here
I have no clue about Counter Strike but I know I could get online with Quake 3. If there is something special with CS and steam that would not allow that then I don't know. I never like CS so......never played it.

Well actually my H-Town is Houston, TX. But......I'm still in Iraq though, for now. I'm not familiar with Hockinson. Guess there are there are more cities out there that people refer to as H-Town! Pretty cool!!!!
get CS 1.5

Because the Quake3 you played on your Fuze was the exact rip of Quake3 on the computer, right?
It's called PORTING. Some of you need to look this up...
And your point is? Like I said I do not exactly know how CS works but the last I remember it was pretty much the same thing as Quake 3. Yes the Q3 I was playing was a rip from my computer. I don't see why the same thing couldn't be done with CS though. Is there something I'm missing about why it couldn't be done.

Your original Quake3 wasn't coded for the WinCE platform...and neither was CS 1.6. Get a clue.
My point is that simpleton like you guys shouldn't be too narrow-minded as to how gaming on the HD2 works. Unless you're a programmer (which by your posts indicated that you don't have any clue), you can't just assume that everything you play on the computer will work on the HD2. Different hardware and different software would be some of the early indications. Porting requires a great deal of time, effort and expertise to be able to translate windows 9x kernel to winCE.
...and No, your Quake3 that you played on your Fuze is not a direct rip. Unless you're retarded.
FWIW, I just bought the Evo version of Nova from the Gameloft site and sideloaded it. It's *seriously* awesome and I saw nary a problem playing through the first two levels. I'd say it's def worth the $5. If you're bummed about the 1 min connection time for gps in maps, go download this and you'll totally forget it
Oh, and you'll need an SD card in the slot -- it didn't see the massive internal storage as an option for the game data.
nice, thanks for the tip. downloading now.
I should have also noted that the process of getting the game involves Gameloft sending an sms to your phone with the download address. If you just click on this in-phone (the obvious thing to do) you'll be greeted with a message saying ATT has protected you from dangerous things by not allowing it to download -- or some such crap. I dunno if this happens even if you've rooted (I haven't because I'm lazy).
Just type the address into your browser on a computer and it'll download properly. Proceed with the sideload.
Sorry if this is obvious.
Where can I find this game....
Gameloft says phone not recognized... do you have to do it from PC....
Yeah you have to do it from their site and using a computer. Its worth it!
Any one know how their DRM works as far as me flashing my ROM and or getting a new phone and trying to use the same game? Only thing I could find on their site said you had 90days to redownload and that was it.

,
You dont need an SD card...the game will install on the internal storage just fine, btw you can install motorola droid/milestone gameloft HD games versions on your captivate, the evo versions are crippled for the qsd82X0 platform.
this is a great game, downloaded installed on internal sd. Thanks for the great find. I guess ill try hawx too
any other badass high quality games you guys can recommend?

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone could give some insight as to why the gameloft games (ie. asphalt 5, Dungeon Hunter etc.) will not work on our devices.
I was guessing it has something to do with the tegra chip however, these games can run on my droid eris. I dont believe it has something to do with sdcard/sdcard2 issues, as I have tried both, on multiple roms.
Yes, I am aware that this device is not supported on their website, but again neither is my eris.
I think it has to do with the lack of open gl es driver support, as some 3d games work and others don't
gator I think you're correct. The games all load for me and look great until the actual game play starts and then it's all solid colors and crazy blocks.
hmm that is weird because i cant even get them to load.
Where are you guys finding the apks at? They don't show in my market.

well there is the problem.
they arent in the market for some reason (coughcoughapplecoughcough)
apparently they wont put the games in the market but you can go to their website and get them. only problem is they ask you for your carrier and phone info and send you a text with a link to a download place.
basically you need a phone to get it.
apparently other people have gotten them through less than legal means. which i can understand because of the hoops you would have to jump through to get these apps.
i've got my wii online through my phones wifi tether, but when i try to play call of duty online it logs me on and lets me into a game but when i try to move my guy it retracts my movements and really choppy gameplay. what im basically asking is what do i need to do to get smooth gameplay..... can i change my cpu on my phone to play the game smoothly or is there just to much going on graphic wise that the 3.5 G network cant keep up. thats right i said 3.5G not 3G
Almost 100% sure that the chopy game play is due to lag. C.o.d. and other action games are just gonna move to much data for the phones conection to keep up. Wii bowling or other less demanding games may play fine.
Maybe a 4g conection might keep up but i doubt it. If you search you can find charts on how much band width is needed for online gaming support. Wish i could help you more with it.

I was able to play Black Ops on my ps3 for 3 weeks over wifi tether before my internet got fixed.
It was laggy but certainly playable. It could be a wii issue, i dunno.
???
What did you use to tether to wii? I've been trying for a few days using several different tethers. Wii will see it but not connect!! Rooted D1

I was able to do this by tethering my phone to my PC and running that connection through my router, but now I can't remember how I did it before.

Hey guys, I'm posting this in the evo games because I have an evo and play lots of Angry Birds on it, but recently came across an Angry Birds for Desktop thru Intel AppUp. Sorry that it's not really related to our beloved Evo, but just wanted to share a way to play some Angry Birds when we give our Evo's a rest. Here is the link. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/regular...50006.c?id=pcmcat221700050006&DCMP=rdr0002439
Angry Birds is only free temporarily BTW.
Wow... its great now we can play Angry Birds on big screen on our desktop.
Ya, I have it on the 20 inch desktop, my laptop, and the wife's netbook. The graphics look really clean also. I need to load it on the tv-pc
It wants $4.99 for Angry Birds after I installed the platform. Anything special I need to do?
Never mind...I registered which it claimed would give me the game for free but when I went to click on it, the whole thing crashed. Very buggy software either way and it makes you reboot just to install it. Not sure what system files it needs access to but I'm pretty sure I am uninstalling this.
Angry Birds Rio on HDMI out is 10x better than the first releases.. Highly recommended for any HDMI or DVI input screens. Longer HDMI obviously recommended.

I eventually got it to work. It's just buggy. I had to sign up on the Intel app and then it crashed. When I restarted it I was able to download the game but overall kind of a pain in the ass experience.
sorry you're having problems. i had to register with the intel appup program but had no problems on my desktop and laptop. it did say $4.99, but when i clicked on it, it gave the option to download for free. I did have a minor setback on my wife's netbook. It kept giving me an error message when i clicked the angry birds icon on the desktop. Found out that I have to have the intel appup program running for angry birds to run, but only on her netbook. the desktop and laptop don't have this requirement.
Ok. Thanks. I'll give it another shot.

Yeah rio makes all the other angry birds look terrible. It is amazing looking.
Bleh, gave me error messages >_< Not worth my time imo, so I just uninstalled the Intel thingy. I saw this a few days ago but I thought it was a scam.

Ah, I see you missed the news a few months back . It's been on the mac app store forever, just have to edit a text file within the app itself to get it to work for free. There's various tutorials for it online:
http://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/exkm1/mac_app_store_exploit_discovered_on_first_day/
Worked for me Not sure if this still works, but yeah.
