Do you have 4ext recovery installed? If not install it. Place Rom at root of sd card . Go into 4ext and wipe cash, then wipe dalvik, then wipe data factory reset, then press in 4ext install zip from sd card. Choose your Rom. Then install. Reboot from 4ext and your Rom SHOULD boot. You have the correct firmware so that's not a issue. Give this a try and see if Rom will boot. No reason for it Not to boot. Your also s off so that's not a issue. Try this and see if it works. Best wishes .
Make sure you have a nandroid backup incase of problems.

Seems like lot of ppl had these problems.. They can only boot AOSP roms.. Just like you.. Unfortunately no one has a solution for this... May be if you can give us a logcat while having boot loop then we can see what causing the problem... I did received some logcat but I'm not that knowledgeable.. Give me some ill try to contact couple of devs.. Regarding this

Just out of curiosity would it help or perhaps make a difference if they tried 4ext recovery instead of team win? It's worth a try ?? All else had failed it won't hurt to try?... Maybe it will boot ?

Greetings Developers!
Every time I try to flash a kernel, at the end of the process, everything seems to go fine but it shows installation aborted, could someone please help?

Deemonspeed, and faux's both state to be compatible with any sense ROM, am on stock ROM, rooted, I don't really want to flash any Rom at the moment just a custom kernel, but when I try to flash e kernel it shows installation aborted

Same problem here too. Sensation on 2.3.4 rooted eng s-off trying to install demonspeed kernel but installation aborted. I restart the phone and now the WiFi has error. Then I have to do a complete restore via cw recovery.
Im bumping this one as i have the same problem. Im on the default ROM, trying this kernel:
[KERNEL][NOV.04]Bricked-Kernel|2.6.35.14|v1.5|[email protected]/192|3DFIX|BATTSAVER|ZRAM|CCACHE
I get a status 7 when trying to flash.
All ive done is to have the zip on my SD, wipe cache partition and dalvik cache, and then "install zip from.."
The installation is pretty simple, so i dont really know what to do here hehe Any ideas?
Got a Sensation btw, its s-off and permanently rooted.
This seems to work ok for me ..
Give it a try ..

I did it in the same way and it worked.
Keep in mind that if you are on 3.0 you have to take FirstTimeKernel3.0.zip

Flash a new rom or reinstall the current one from recovery. That'll fix it.

Worse case you may have to do a full wipe
(hope you did a full backup first!)
I had this happen a few weeks ago - wiping cache did finally fix it for me. Try it more than once just to be safe.

Did you flash the matching firmware?

No boot... Phone crash..

Okay, my HTC Sensation does not boot at all. Even when i run the stock Firmware... It has S-OFF Revolutionary... The only ROM that works is the ViperS and that also comes along with the issue that says com.android.phone has stopped working, along with that the wifi does not work... I've tried EVERYTHING! Can anyone help me please?!
Make sure you have the correct firmware 3.32 or 3.33. Also download 4ext recovery. It's a great recovery and really easy to use.you're soff so you should after doing those things be able to place Rom at root of sd card, do wipe data factory reset, wipe cash, wipe dalvik then install from sd card and reboot. Make sure to have your nandroid backup to be safe. You shouldn't have a issue after doing these things.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I've flashed both 3.23 and 3.33 and still no progress and also i already have that recovery..... And i never did a nandroid backup so i'm stuck!
OK try to wipe everything aside from your sdcard from recovery. Then Install the rom twice, then reboot. Also have you used the superwipe script? Some roms, mostly aosp/aokp roms are not compatible with it. Let us know

[Q] HTC Sensation XE Root dilemma

Hello experts,
Yesterday I tried to root my HTC Sensation XE! First I unlocked this device using the htcdev then u found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668276 and i followd the instructions and finished. In the HBOOT menu this device is still listed as S-ON but i downloaded the Rootchecker app and it confirms that the device is routed.
I am trying to update to the jellybean 4.1.2 using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782009.
The cyogenmod bootscreen is stuck loading over 10min so i assumed that i am doing something wrong, so i restored it to the original ROM using clockworks.
If someone has any ideas please feel free to comment and remark.
Thanks =)
Use 4ext with smart flash on,
What it seems to me is with clock work it doesn't write the boot IMG. With that being said it would be stuck in a boot loop.

Thank you sir. I shall try this today, and replay the output produced
You're welcome!
Do you know what ROM you are going to flash?
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
I had no sucsess .
let me explain the procedure.
First i am turning off my phone and remove the battery.
I boot into HBOOT by pressing the volume down and power.
Acess the recove, in which the 4ext menu appears.
I select wipe phone, and after i select delate chace and dalvik
Then i select the install from sd > chose the zip.
i select the CM10 zip and install it and after i select the gaps too.
reboot the phone.
When rebooting the phone stucks the cyanogenmod boot screen
Okay. I had this same problem you are having when I first started getting familiar with flashing ROMs.
If you correctly installed 4ext recovery, go into your settings and select "smart flash on" this will allow you to flash a ROM correctly with out having your s-off. Try that and let me know.

did you do a clean install? it also happened to me when i was using my old micro sd. try changing microsd and use authentic one's. there are people who say's they install it on a branded micro sd but failed to boot. maybe they are using fake sd card. no offense meant, but try to buy sd card on authorized dealers.
Assuming you performed a clean flash including system and cache wipe, correct? I've had super stable roms (specifically mmuzzy) flash wrong for me. I've just had to go back, wipe everything again, and reflash. Can't explain why it happens but sometimes it does. Knowing that you probably haven't set a ton of stuff up yet I'd just re-wipe and re-flash.
Hope that helps.

super wipe script or manual super wipe. For me that super wipe script doesn't seem to work. I just do it manually. cache, dalvic, and factory reset.
I should also state my phone is a galaxy nexus, so it might be different for you. Best of luck.
