Hey xdaers! Do we have a back to stock thread or could anyone point me in the right direction to doing so for the obvious reasons? (warranty/return/etc...) Thanks!
Back to stock
This is what I did : I bought GN 10 , and downloaded and flashed rooted rom from http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-10-1-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-10-1/ . while lather I updated it on OTA , and after few first uses that update screwed up my stylus . Later I found out I am not the only one . I went back to rooted first rom http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-10-1-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-10-1/ and then I bought triangle away https://play.google.com/store/search?q=triangle+away and used it to reset counter . then I uninstalled triangle away and superuser . Cleaned GN from data and fingerprints and smudges and took it back to bestbuy and got 32 gb note . Now I am stock everything , If I find some interesting app that requires root , I just find alternative . This note is AMAZING even stock .
Thanks for the info! I will definitely just Odin that stock(ish) rom again! Sometimes all u need is a idea for the right direction to go. Thanks!

EDIT: 12/23/2012 3:19AM.. Doing a little research I figured out what the issue was. Used Brian Gove's Guide
[How To] Reset your phone in order to return to Verizon(Updated 12/11/2012)
From Step 5 Onwords and everything works great.
.. I am still stumped on exactly what happen. I am almost positive it was because of the new file structure..
Just Proves that with a little patience and smarts anyone can use the resourced and tools here to solve their own android problems without bothering anyone haha.
Thank you all for your articles and Merry Xmas / Happy Holidays to Everyone!!
now.. I gotta unlock my boot loader and start all over..
Soft Brick.....
I was looking around and I cant seem to find a post that really solves my problem.
I have a Verizon S3 that I rooted and flashed to CyanogenMod Nightly build and everything was working great.
I used Rom Manager Premium and it updated me to update to CMW 6023. I went ahead and updated.
I saw that there was an update for my Daily As well 12/22/12 so I went ahead and used Rom Manager to download it and install it for me like It did with my last 16 Roms. That Rom had some strange things going on so I flashed to an older rom 12/20/12 and that rom was buggy as well.
Finally I decided that I should just stop with the Daily's and use the stable. When I loaded the Stable things started to still act strange. Mostly the Keyboard would not work and keep crashing. I decided then to just reload my original backup from Verizon.
Before I went in to recovery i took a look at my files and backed everything up. However then I noticed something that was not there before, a folder /0 with most of my main files inside.
I went into CWM v6.0.2.3. and tried to do a restore to my original nandroid backup from verizon but it looks like it failed.
It Says "Error While Restoring System" and kicked me back to CWM
Now when I reboot all I see is the White "Samsung Galaxy s3"
Did I Screw the pooch on this? Kinda nervous haha.
I am Posiive its a Soft Brik and hoping there is a way to fix it.
I can however get to Download mode. If anyone knows a great guide to help me reflash with Odin that would be fantastic.
thanks guys, been a long time reader and this is the first problem I have really had.
I apologize if this has already been over in a post.
Just a quick step breakdown would be great. I am really hoping that I didnt brick my phone.
Thanks for the help and Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to everyone.
Hello !!
I have a LG Thrill P925G Rooted + CWM Im getting tired of CWM and want to remove it ? is there any possible way i can remove it without bricking my phone ? I Want It To Go Back To Stock Everything
Please If Someone Can Help Me With This Situation
- ROM MANAGER IS NOT GOOD
:crying:
I don't recommend going back to stock ROM manager - it will remove your root instantly as soon as you hit factory reset - that depends on what ROM manager version you use, of course. So, I don't recommend that - there's better alternatives of course. And CWM or TWRP is there for when you accidentally brick your phone so it's best to leave any of rooted ROM managers alone so you can reflash the backed-up copy of Android ROM and your preferences - you will thank yourself for that. I managed to learn my lesson the hard way with my previous Android smartphone. Now I use TWRP a lot just so I can test the firmware out.

Help ??
Thanks Mario For The Reply
The reason why i want to go back to stock is because i just got an update from LG Mobile Support Tool and i think CWM is messing around with the update because my phone wont update and all my other friends as the same phone there's update and the not on any CWM Or ROOTED .. Thats the only reason why i want go back to stock ?? but i was wondering do you think i can still update my phone with CWM ?
:crying:
Just update to JB 4.2.2 and you'll be ahead of all of them
Spent the last few weeks trying to get a rom with black backgrounds on my I9505 that still has full camera functionality. Installed slimkat which was fine but the camera barely worked at all so decided to go back to stock 4.4.2 which is where my problems started. Upon doing this I got a message saying I might loose root and did I want to fix it, I said yes and from that time on I have never been able to instal another 4.4.2 system. I am however able to instal stock lollipop.
I suspect this is a knox issue and I have tripped the counter but I have no idea what I could try next as the graviton rom (4.4.2) seems to be my best option for a black background rom still with touchwiz camera stuff. I also find every custom recovery I instal gets over ridden back to the stock recovery and Im constantly reinstalling them.
This is truly driving me around the bend, Could someone point me in the right direction on what the problem is please?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The Samsung devices usually have qfuses which get "blown" when updating to the latest firmware. This prevents you from downgrading the firmware to earlier versions. I would suggest you follow this to flash the stock firmware in Odin and start over. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41072377 You'll have to reinstall your custom recovery, however, you should still be able to flash 4.4.2 custom roms.

Ok,,,,here is my plight...
about 6 months ago my s5 became unusable due to the fact that concrete and GS5's dont play well together...becoming more and more frustrated having to use an older phone (HTC ONE M7) i went ahead and threw caution to the wind and bought a new LCD digitizer for my GS5 and hoped for the best...
replaced my digitizer and VIOLA !! my phone booted and was exactly the same as it was the day before concrete and LCD collided..
after booting it up went in to check everything and all seems well....root was still good,,,just had to upgrade everything and move on..
my problem is that since it has been a while there have been so many changes as far as updates,,ROMs,,and other techniques i need to find out the steps to take and what would be my best plan of attack..
i am on MOAR v2.2 NE5 and when i installed that back when i first got the phone tripped KNOX,,but i dont think that is too much of a concern at this point...or is it ??
i have read alot of things about going to Lollipop but am not sure if i need to do anything except find a Firmware and flash it with Kies or if ODIN is a better way to go....it would be great if i were able to just jump right to MM but i know the chances of that happening are <0....
any help would be appreciated
thank you in advance
Well the latest version for this phone currently is Marshmallow, and there is a great mm n5 rom that is still a work in progress, but i reccomend downloading the full marshmallow restore tar file and using odin to update, then flash recovery, and then a rom of your choosing (currently the n5 rom or a version of cm13). But to flash a lollipop rom download the OK4 lollipop restore file (last version of lollipop 5.0) and do the same process.
hadn't heard much so i went ahead and downloaded an OK4 firmware and flashed with ODIN....works flawlessly setting up now
surprisingly enough,,,it kept all of my settings from MOAR.....hafta say that i am shocked.....gotta love Android
I recently rooted my phone to try and recover some deleted pictures after the phone completely crashed and wouldn't load up , I have tried to install an original firmware using Odin but I keep getting the same message about not being authorized . Am I installing the wrong files or am I not doing something thathat causes it to fail?
Where did you download the firmware? Are you sure you're using the correct version?
Are you on a G930T or a G935T?
I had the same problem on mine before, what solved it was downloading a later version of the firmware, as you can't downgrade just like that.
You can download the latest firmware from Sammbile. (I would link but I have less than 10 posts.
The T stands for T-Mobile, and the 930 is the regular, 935 is the edge. If you're not T-Mobile, you're in the wrong section, but I'm still glad to help once I obtain more information.

Always flash the most recent firmware becasue if you don't remember chances are you can flash an old version and run into issues, so to be safe flash the latest available firmware. Also when you first rooted did you change the CPU governor or run/install anything that could have caused the bootloop in the first place?

You can install this awesome rom to speed things up don't worry it's a stock rom so no Knox trip. The link I will provide also has instructions. So to get started I recommend making a backup of applications with titanium backup which might require the pro so unfortunately you may have to buy a full version( if you don't want to spend money you can patch the app with lucky patcher). And I recommend checking out this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...stockdeodexeddebloatedrom-7-10-t3415952/page1
It is somewhat debloated and has the best speed I've seen yet... Ive been using it for a month now and I love it!
