Funny thing is I see. But when I click it won't give me the option to download.
No big deal I'm loving this coredroid Rom.

I just download the new skype and still can not get it to work on my HTC sensation. If I try to call someone via skype, the call fails. If someone calls me, it comes through, however no video. They can see me, I can not see them. Frustrating. Any help would be great.

Works fine over 4G for me.

Idk what to tell ya brother. Sounds like possibly a conflict with the ROM you may be using.

Very good this Skype app, it is working fine for me. I test front camera and it is just perfect. But it was on wlan, not on mobile network.

Anybody figure out how to keep it portrait when doing video calls? Mine always turns landscape.

This occurs when the other person is using a outdated version of Skype on their computer.
Tell them to update to the latest version and it should be perfect.

Does anyone else have an issue when putting the phone to the ear using skype causes the volume to fade in and out most likely due the proximity sensor?
I do not get the fading in and out when using speakerphone.

I love it
It works fine and i was very impressed by the quality of the videocall, both WiFi which is supergood and 3g is better than i have ever seen on a 3g call.

[APP] **Modded Skype W/Advanced Tweaks** Works With Any 2.3.4 Rom

Tried several 2.3.4 roms with Skype(market version) and video wouldn't work at all only audio. Searched through different forums and doing several google searches I came across this modded version and it works flawlessly and also has Advanced Settings so you can mod your front and back camera to your liking as well as sound mods. Here it is folks.

It runs as long as ur signed in. Once u sign out it no longer runs in the background

uhh... i signed out, saw skype icon disappear from notificiation bar. then went to atk and it was still there, killed all apps anyway, and guess which was the first app to pop back up...yea, skype.

Go to settings>applications>running services. The task manager from status bar aint accurate. It displays more memory used then it should and also doesnt show all apps running (probably to stop people closing important system apps

Will this version fix the choppy audio when the screen turns off bug that returned after 2.3.4 upgrade? I had clear audio on Skype v2.1 on 2.3.3 ROMs.

I'm using it now..I don't see any reason to use it because the camera options work still on 2.3.4 if you use the leaked Skype from a month ago. It was named skype_2_0_0_47-signed.apk and it worked just fine.
This one works too..i deleted the old one to install this one...I love it..doent kill the battery or anything though. Happy with Skype now.

after i enable video,, program keeps crashing. i'm on revolver2.5. any help is appreciated.

lreyes15...I know you're young and all DUDE but you should of NEVER posted this crap up here! This thing reboots every 5-6 seconds, freezes up when it doesn't reboot and to top it off........you lied about the FFC which btw came to no shocker considering some great minds have tried to get this to work and have come up short
I mean, how do you expect people to believe that you FIXED the FFC but can't figure out how to switch kernels on your ROM...hahahaha

If everything goes wrong, tell my Evo that he did a great job although I would end up replacing by a One X
EDIT: The Rom boots, but it's a pain to go through the apps, I got to many reboots (even after changing the kernel) that I was forced to go back to my previous rom. I wouldn't recommend to flash it right now, just do it if you want to waste your time trying to proof me wrong

1 thing to note is that I've been in the settings and put in my location and it tells me it can't find that location. There was no problem before.

Yeah, just saying that it still works on some ROMs, so it's apparently not all the backends failing. Unless PACman uses a different backend.

I know mine worked for a while ad then randomly, after spring break where I had no service so I left my phone off all week, it stopped working. is that just me or is that replicated by anyone?

This problem has been bugging me for a month it seems now.
The first thing i did every morning was check the weather on the Lockscreen.
Maybe this isnt new but i have not found a fix in our forums so..
I went where of coarse... google.Started looking around to find a fix
and sure enough.Good ole XDA boys got it figured out and they have
a Flashable zip that i have tested and confirm it works on Slimbean 4.1.2 V4
There is also a standlone APK for 4.2. but it will not work with anything under 4.2
Here it is the one for Slimbean....

I saw a couple weeks ago Scott released it. I've had my eye on it for awhile and just have one question

I would say so...I've been using it as a daily driver for about 3 days and it's all right so far. You can always just revert if you don't like it.

Do so! It is amazingly smooth, and, although for now it lacks some features we are
used to it is only a matter of time until those incredible developers are able to incorporate
them. For now third party apps do a decent job. :good:

its more lacking cyanogenmod features than anything real hardware issues. its very aosp-y with only a few cm enhancements.

where you expect to see options to customize the quick settings toggles, and lock screen, and stuff, its all missing. you still have things like the theme engine, and profiles, and quick replies on text messages. its half cyanogenmod and half aosp.

What's wrong? it works.

Scott has taken a good path, solidifying the basics before adding the perks. Nothing like a good foundation, and 4.4 is doing more for our old Infuses, even in its current WIP, than any version of Android since Gingerbread.

My only issue is the rom isn't letting me restore my texts from super backup soon as i get that working i'm using kk as a daily driver

Battery life seems to be better than 4.3. I see lots claiming massive battery time increases, which has me curious how many people leave things like gmail sync,Google now, etc running all the time.

nearly all sms backup apps arent working because of the way sms app handling is done in kitkat. the backup app has to become the default messaging app. i think only sms backup & restore supports this right now, so give that a try. works great for me.

yeah i had a chat in irc with someone about it. im convinced the opensource browser was never meant to run on kitkat since its broken on almost every device. and the nexus devices, which are the only ones with official kitkat, come with chrome installed which works fine in kitkat. just a theory... google...
