Stable AOSP ROM for the Tab Plus? - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Hello All!
I am a Nexus S user who was gifted the tab plus a few months ago. Having used the Nexus S for well over a year, I really hate Samsung's Touch Wiz interface (Naturally!). I love everything about the device except for the UI.
Is there any stable AOSP ROM for the tab plus out there? I don't care if it’s even ginger bread as long as it has the default android UI! I have been searching the forums, none of the ROMs seems to be even at the RC Level. Please suggest.

If stable is your main concern, update your 7+ to stock ics. Then change the launcher to nova/apex, those launchers are very similar to the stock launcher, with more custom setting.
Or if you like very aosp, try the new cm10 06/09 bulid from aorth. I use that as my daily driver.

Thanks. I tried dw launcher, it had improved things a bit. But I guess CM10 is what I really need. Will try it shortly.

Hey i assume you mean you like the Touchwiz launcher that comes as standard on the sg2
i havent used it myself as i have a sg2 already, but have a look at this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061883
it is a modified tw launcher, that say it works with every •Every device with armv7 processor and froyo or higher.
looked at the link u gave me.
the theme/ui in question still in dev mode
so im not keep to try as really hated FC (got 3-4x per day with earlier ver of NSCollab)
did retry MIUI again (now 1.7.8), can say its better than v1.6.1
so i gonna stick with that first till anything else stable.
thx !
This might be what your looking for in the themes section.

Samsung Lockscreen on Inspire?

I'm in love with the Touchwiz 4.0 U/I. I'm wondering if it's possible to get that lockscreen on my rooted inspire with CM7?
I bought widget locker, and don't care for it, i've also tried magic locker and didnt care for that either.
MIUI has it

Is MIUI a theme or a rom? I'm new to rooting and rom. I just know i couldn't stand Sense and wanted as close to stock android as possible so i got CM7.

ROM
MIUI
Is it better? That's personal preference - try them both and make up your mind

Well I love HTC Design and build quality since the HTC Touch Diamond back in 2007/8.
Also February of this year when I got the Inspire there weren't many android options on AT&T. I wasn't getting the outdated Aria or Captivate, I hated the current iteration of Motoblur on the Atrix, and I didn't like Touchwiz 3 on the Infuse that had yet to come out. Best option for me at the time was the Inspire because I couldn't take the iPhone anymore.
I just happen to not be a big fan of U/I skins in general - aside from the new Touchwiz 4.

Well like stated before, if you don't like sense getting an HTC phone was not your best choice however since you made the choice and lucky for you the Inspire has a lot of development, you're not totally boned since you don't like the stock sense feel. Again, I recommend and stand by any of the Collective team's work (Absolution and BBmod). MIUI is nice too but reminds me of an iPhone too much so if I really wanted that type of look, I would have gotten an iPhone (not trying to insult anyone, just my opinion so any of the MIUI fans take exception to that, sorrrrry!!) Best bet try all of the AOSP ROMs and decide for yourself which one you like the most!
Isn't the point of android being able to create your own environment that suits you? Isn't that why we have such a bevvy of ROMs to choose from? I'm on the same boat with the OP, loving HTC's build quality but sense doesn't suit me 100%. I've just recently re-installed LauncherPro and I'm enjoying the environment much better.

Yet you recommend ROMs that strip sense from the phone. Why didn't you just get a Nexus phone?
I'd say that Touchwiz has more in common with the look/feel of an iPhone than MIUI has by far. MIUI has a very nice, clean feel to it and adds a lot of elements of customization to the table. I really enjoyed using it while I had my old Captivate, more so than CM7. Right now I'm enjoying Android Revolution + LauncherPro since this offers the most flexibility for my use. I'd say try out MIUI and see if you like it.
Off subject but you sir have an awesome Avatar! CoCa!

*sigh* NO. TOUCHWIZ, just like any other manufacturer UI, IS CLOSED-SOURCE. IN OTHER WORDS. NO.

My good friend, I think you've misread or misunderstood what I was going at. The OP states he doesn't like sense. My obvious step in logical thinking is, "why get a sense based phone then?" I mean follow your own advice and tell the OP to get a nexus prime since he has explicitly stated he doesn't much like sense.
You're right I do recommend to him CM7 based ROMs because he has stated he doesn't like sense. Why would I advocate or recommend sense based ROMs to a user who has stated he doesn't like sense. I don't mind sense, I actually enjoy the U.I. I don't like that its a resource hog though. So I use CM7 based ROMs, not out of distaste for sense ROMs, just out of lack of customization in most of the sense based ROMs. From time to time I do use sense based ROMs ( BD or ARHD). I've just gotten to know the devs and users of the collective and have a hard time leaving them. Great guys/girls and some of the friendliest people you're gonna meet on XDA.
Like I said, my opinion on MIUI, if you took exception..nothing I can do there friend. That's an inner struggle you'll have to square away. MIUI is a great ROM, never said it wasn't, just reminds me of an iPhone. Plan and simple. My opinion. You're entitled to yours.

Best MIUI V5 compatible phone

Hello Folks,
my Samsung Galaxy S broke last week and I need a new phone! I tried a lot of roms on that phone and was very pleased with the variety of customization and flashs for it. The MIUI Rom was by far the best one I tried (GB and ICS), i really love the smooth and intuitive OS and that's why I want a phone that fully supports MIUI V5 and by that I mean it should work for daily use, work fluently and stable!
It's not necessary that it's an official MIUI V5 Rom, it should just be stable, as already said.
I'm pretty open for every brand or model, I would prefer if the performance was better than the Galaxy S, since I want a snappy phone!
Thanks in advance!

Then I would order a phone from China. MIUI is not respected here nor is the company that produces it.

Greetings

Hello community
I haven't been here for 3-4 years (member since 2007) but I'm back as I need help. I was very big on ROM changing from early days of Windows phones (MDA, Wing, Tytn 2, etc) and later just about every Android I owned. But since 2012, I've been nothing but a Nexus user and due to pure stock OS, I stopped modding. I came accross a sealed T-Mob version of Note 3 (I'm on US T-Mob network) for a super low price and decided to pick it up while I wait for 6p to be available in configuration that I want. My question is this, should I invest some time and work into modding Note 3? I despise skins, touchwizz more then any other one but with Google now launcher, I can go around it. But that doesn't change drop down menu, settings menu, bloatware (most hated of all things). Since I've been out of the game for a while, I was wondering if there was a toolkit to help me install AOSP that will maintain good radio and kernel. Something like WugFresh used to be for Nexus 4. Thanks a bunch and glad to be back.
CM is very light compared to touchwise but for maximum spen performance you will need a TW based rom even tho you can get many of the functions for CM but it's just not the same. You can get TW roms completely debloated.
I suggest you flash a TW rom and test it for a few days and then CM to make up your mind about what you need and what not. Personally I prefer TW for spen functions over CM but had I had a phone without spen I would go for CM no matter what phone I had. TW + spen is by fare best in my opinion but everyone has there own views. You can still use other launchers with TW but you just need the TW framework for spen to work so if you like the Google now then use that on TW.
Toolkits for modding I would suggest tikklemyandroid and for flashing stuff there is a kit called my toolkit I think which is available for all the note 2, 3 and 4.

Not sure if you choose right section for opening this thread
But if you are about to do something, leave the TW bs alone, work for ANDROID 6.0
Thanks and welcome home.

Need a GOOD 7.0+ ROM for Nexus 5 w/ CWM

I just tried a couple ROMs for the Nexus 5 and was not too impressed. Does anyone have a suggestion for something minimalist, clean, but I can customize from there? I got used to this Nova Launcher and would rather use that, then try to find some developers' Coolest ROM ever creation. Since there is no official 7.0+ from Google, I can't just install as Stock ROM. That seems to be the problem.
Anyone know of a close to stock 7.0+ ROM for Nexus 5?
Have you tried LOS 14.1?
I use Paranoid Android for about almost a year after Lineage discontinued its support for Nexus 5, Rooted but not heavy contained with customization, can last half a day (I do not game on my phone) also security patches is not ideal since the last update of PA was like months un-updated late
