hello experts,
first of all sorry for creating new thread, but cant able to locate the right place to pu my query.
i recently got Micromax A56 android phone.
I purchased it just for its awesome looks at such a low price and dont know much technicalities.
i am facing bit of problems, please help me
1. when playing music the music stops suddenly after playing for about 2minutes.
2.now the games like angry birds do not start, earlier it was working fine.
though both of the above prob are solved for the time being when i clear the app data in settings.
3. i installed the go launcher in phone memory. go launcher is working fine but now when i browse net with android browser or dolphin it seems to hang a lot, kinetics scrolling not working fine. plus when i type messages sometimes i cant get the keyboard popped up.
my phone memory shows 52mb free
and rom shows 25mb free
please help me to overcome these issues.
do i really need to root my phone to get over these issues or i can do without it?
please do reply.
Probably ur ram usage is high. Nd first of all remove the go launcher and install adw ex it uses very less ram. Go launcher is a memory hog. Use ram manager app from play store it works well. Remove every optimization app and task killers installed. Use advanced task killer.
Use sd maid app to clear up garbage in the system.
Heavy memory games will hang a alot.
Use boat browser mini instead of dolphin.
U will surely notice diffrence.
BEST OF LUCK

If u want to increase the ram u have to be rooted.
Sent from my A56 using xda premium
Yes that's right
For my opinion
Just use stock launcher app it will help.
Other use opera mini
If using any live wallpaper use simple image
If using go locker disable it use stock lock
If using Facebook app don't use it just use stock browser because it occupy more than 30mb ram
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
@anshubham
thanks for replyn
i read ur thread in development section where u mentioned that u have go launcher installed on ur device, isnt it creating problems for u?
why u asking me to not to use it.?
the ram manager app you mentioned requires root access.
that means the root is the only solution for my problem?
moreover many rooting options are discussed between you and @imetal,
please tell me if in case i want to root my devise finally, what sure shot method i shud use.
i wud also request you to please guide me as what shud i do after rooting my device in order to free up more n more ram space.
i mean you already rooted ur devise and u r in a better position to tell all those stuff afterall i dont want to make that blunder of deleting MLABS LAUNCHER like u did...lol.
so i wud request you to:
1. tell me one sure shot method for rooting.
2. files and apps which i can delete safely in order to free up ram.
3. if i make go launcher as system app, does it make any difference imean will it work smoothly then?
thanks for patience reading.......dont forget to reply.
@anshubham
nd one more thing i wud like to ask.
u increased your ram using swapper app.
is it working fine for you, i mean is there any hang like problem sometime.
does this really harms sd card?
just share your opinion and experience.
how much memory is shared on sd card.
and finally i want to ask one last question which might seem foolish but still i will ask:
which brand of sd card are u using?
i mean i have to get a new one for my a56 and m confused between samsung and sandisk?
just asking for ur opinion.
thanks again
Newbies Help...
@sheetalk937
FIRST OF ALL BUY SANDISK sdcard 8 or 16gb not less than class 6 buy class 10 if available.:victory:
I'm not using Go Launcher(using it previously)..as i'm rooted i freezed those system app that restarts themselves continuosly like maps, talk, streetview, mlabslauncher, fmradio, etc.
I'm Currently Using ADW Launcher Ex(converted it to system app via Link2SD app) which is not causing any problem at all. I have used almost every launcher and found this one the most useful and it also does not require more RAM usage in A56(it uses about 8mb ram). The other one I like is Launcher Pro.
When using swapper it doesn't hang a bit. I'm Using 512mb extra RAM(sdcard space) After increasing RAM i'm able to play temple run and other heavy ram games. Like Road Warrior, etc. NFS SHIFT works without increasing RAM but sometimes Fore Closes.
Swapping method sure harms sdcard but the effect will be shown after a long time..(dont worry...we'll buy a new one then.)
U can delete stock apps "AFTER ROOTING" like facebook, TOI, teenpatti, mibuddy, etc...don't delete anything else.
After rooting u'll have alot of options available to make ur fone speedy and according to your style and needs like good ram management using root apps, titanium backup, overclocking(set cpu),,,etc etc etc.
For Rooting your device...search the net about rooting information its pros and cons. Then root your device (first learning is nessesary.)
for rooting follow this guide...by imetal1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870067
For increasing RAM follow this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1834446
To set up adb follow this.
http://androidforums.com/micromax-a56/603700-tutorial-how-set-up-adb.html
This time i have almost 40 apps installed on my fone and still having 70mb internal storage free and about 40mb RAM free.
BEST OF LUCK. :good: :good:
@anshubham
thanks again!!!!!
now that makes a complete rooting guide atleast at basic level for me and all other noobies.
one thing u mentioned about freezing ie "as i'm rooted i freezed those system app that restarts themselves continuosly like maps, talk, streetview, mlabslauncher, fmradio, etc. ", please explain how (procedure) can we freeze such apps when we r rooted?
also tell one last thing:
1. whats the problem if i decide to buy 4gb sandisk card?
2. where from did u get ur card, i mean did you got online, ebay......
is there any trusted seller who supply genuine sandisk cards as lot of fakes of sandisk are available we cant even differentiate them by looks.
thanks for all your support.....
U cn freeze apps by using link2sd app from play store its free. Just install it
Click(hold) on the app (like maps)
Select freeze.
Now its freezed..the freezed app will nt b shown in menu.
It will not restart again unless u unfreeze it and will nt eat up ram.
I buy sdcards from flipkart.
If u'll buy 4gb card u'll get less storage 8gb must be the starting sdcard as it will be gud enough to hold the data of apps. Lastly it depends on ur usage.
And cards dont come duplicated they are genuine buy from flipkart. They are cheap too.

I'll suggest you to buy 8gb class 6 or 10 sandisk mem.card
Higher the class, higher the speeds.

what is rom dump? is it the copy of rom?
can i flash the copy of rom of a56 available online to my device.
where wud i get the unrooted copy of rom for mmx a56.?
how can we flash those rom to my device?
am asking this so as to restore my device to factory settings whenever required say to claim warranty.
what are the other methods to backup or bring the devise to factory status when needed.?
will the factory reset function of my device wud be able to do that if suppose i delete few apps like teen patti etc after rooting. will the factory reset button bring back those deleted apps.
Deleted apps will nt be restored after factory reset...for rooted rom check the all things thread.
To get the warranty back just unroot via superoneclick.

Hey, can we replace stock apps for SMS, Contacts and Dialer? I think they are eating up much RAM even while not being used
I have Handcent SMS and GoSMS. Can I just freeze the stock mms.apk using link2sd? Would it crash my phone?
I think its only the same logic as replacing the launcher. Please help man.

hey someone pls reply to my query
if @anshubham is not available, some other expert pls reply.
Sorry for the late reply..
dont freeze any system service(dialer, sms, storage, etc)
we dont have any unrooted rom yet. u can just flash the rooted rom and unrrot it to get the unrooted rom.
u can freeze maps, streetview, mlabslauncher, fmradio, gtalk, gmail, email.( i've frozen these). USE ADW LAUNCHER EX as it will use very less ram because when u open running services it will not be shown there, when u'll go to background services it will be there eating up 7-8 mb which is very low as compared to others.
don't replace sms app i dont know what will happen..but don't do that becuz its a service too. It will not eat up more memory. First root ur device and use ADW LAUNCHER EX then u'll see the diffrence. i have always upto 40 mb free everytime from the day m using ADW.
After rooting u can remove Mibudy, mistore, TOI, FAcebook ,etc.
HOPE THIS HELPS...!!!

Hey buddy, I have replaced practically everything on this phone
Installed GoLauncher to replace Mlabs.launcher
Contapps to replace Dialer, Contacts and SMS (huge savings) But mind you Contapps has some bug which eats away a lot of battery.
I froze every system app which I have installed replacements for. I have 50-60MB of free RAM at idle times beat that! Just make sure you backup them using Titanium. (Even tried uninstalling few but it went horribly wrong for the phone.apk)
One tip though, never fiddle with the launcher I lost control of the phone quite a few times, thankfully I had Advanced Task Killer to run on bootup. I managed to switch tasks and launch Titanium backup from there phew! saved my life!
thankyou guyz!!!!!

You can go to Colonel Zap blog to search for the rom. I believe he has a rooted firmware for the HDC branded one. If yours is the Star or Tinji brand, just search for tinji i9300 in XDA and you can find the rooted firmware for it as well.
I just got a bigger version from fastcardtech.com and they call it the HDC Galaxy note II clone. This is a really new model just released this month in September.
I just completed a review on it so you can check it out on youtube.

I hope someone can make a rooted firmware for this as well. I have to settle for stock for the time being.

Hi
I've bought one s3 clone yesterday in Singapore. No brand.
It's a 6577 dual core with 1gb ram and 2gb rom.
The screen is 1280x720 PX what is quite nice.
I've rooted it with the spark tool and it worked.
But I can't access to my sdcard. It's not mounted.
Does any one know how to use it ?
Cheers

Hey guys,
Thanks for this informative thread. I am interested in a similar phone, the Hero 9300+. Any suggestions?
P.S. that S3 clone is sexay, but too fat. Lol
This is how I rooted my S3 i9300 mtk6577 android 4.1. U can try this process for any mtk6577 device but do this with caution and at your own risk. I haven't flashed the ROM bcoz it's too risky with these Chinese clones.
*Install the MTK6577 usb drivers http://www.4shared.com/rar/0MvyztbR/usb_driver_MT65xx_Android_ZTE_.html? cau2=403tNull
*Download the rooting .rar file (v2) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
*please note that no apps must be open or running during the process.
*Connect the phone- should have the USB-Debug option enabled in settings.
*click RunMe.bat file and selectthe "Other" (option 4)
*click Restore option on ya mobile to backup ya data and then wait for the magic.
*Mobile should reboot twice and the command prompt on ya PC shows this msg: "Successful, going to reboot your device!"
*After completion, command prompt should state if phone has been rooted and superuser n terminal emulator apps automatically installed on ya mobile*
*After rooting my phone, I didnt see the superuser.apk file and just installed the superuser app from play store. U can also use any root checker apps to confirm that ya phone is rooted.
*To delete Chinese apps and anything u don't want, I used "Root App Delete" from play store. This app shows which system files u should not delete so PS do this with caution.

I have tried that but alas no joy .... Are you in the Uk using the phone yourself ?
Yes! I'm using the phone here in London on giffgaff ad lebara Sims. Try removing the battery and simcard for a min before placing them back. The giffgaff similar should reset to original settings. Have u also tried a giff gaff goody bag, its much cheaper. If alI fails, I think u should safely back up ya data and do a factory reset.

Download MobileGo for Android on winXp
Open the application on your PC and connect ya phone via USB. make sure USB debugging is enabled. the computer automatically searches for ya mobile phone to the last detail. It may show a diffierent make since its a clone. so no worries about that.
Then click back up and it will back up all ya contacts, sms, all downloaded and system apps. so in case u need them later, just connect ya fone and click restore. no apps must be running during the back up or restore processes.

One advice:
Use "Bloat Freezer" from Play Store, freeze apps you don't use, keep using you phone for a few days and delete those apps only if you don´t get any errors/problems.

a tip I use to clean memory
I found that Clean Master could do really great job to automatically cleaned the memory when you close the screen if the left memory was over 80 percent used!!
however, some important should be unchecked in the list or you would not receive some message from that apps becuz it was shut down
hope this will help every ace plus user
sor for my poor English!

To me Gemini task killer is OK(not so awesome but atleast it doesn't runs in background and itself consumes ram as some task killers such as ram booster do.)
Also you can freeze apps via titanium backup pro.
Hi!
I want to share this method I found to root our xperia. I searched a lot here, but most methods included changing the version, then rooting, and downloading several other stuff. This one is pretty easier than most. It's a PC software called Kingo Root App (google it, I can't post links yet )
It's REAAALLY easy to use. Just download and follow the steps the program asks (activate bootloader on cellphone and download appropriate driver wich the soft downloads alone, you don't have to do anything but wait) and after clicking the root button, let it finish. Really easy and works like charm. I suppose it also works for Miro, J and Tipo. There is a list of supported devices on the site so you can check it. On my Xperia E C1504 with latest firmware it worked like charm.
So, if anybody wants to give it a try, please post the results here
PD: not my soft nor related with the developing of it. Just found it around here and gave it a try.
PD2: It installs SuperSU

The software's FAQ says you can do it (First answer on the FAQ page "You can “unroot” your device any time with Kingo Android Root") but i have not tried it so I can't tell you how it would be. I imagine you have to connect your phone to the pc, start the program and there should be the unroot option. Search it. If the page says you can, then there must be the option to unroot. Try it and share if it was possible
PD: out of curiosity: Why would you root and then unroot your device? haha

Okay, after searching a bit on google I found this ( techgravy. net/one-click-android-root-kingo-rooting-tool erase the space between the "." and "net"). It should be as I said on my previous response according to this page (the example is with another phone but I imagine it applies)
rooting and unrooting successful

Of course it is. You can do that from SuperSU itself.
In SuperSU, swipe to Settings and under 'Cleanup' you'll find 'full unroot' .Try it. (I haven't tried it yet though)

Yes you will get your warranty back after you unroot.
As for battery saving apps, you can try DU Battery Saver and Greenify.
For reducing lag, try Seeder, LagFix, RAM Manager Pro and Greenify.
And what do you mean by saying you don't know how to use Greenify... It's so simple!
Just pick an app, and select the tick mark (on the upper right) and That's It!
Even SetCPU is not so hard. Think logically(... those sliders are for the max and min frequency of your processor. Increase the min to 1008 for getting the best out of the CPU. (thus will cause SEVERE battery drain however, so use it only when u need it.

I used this method.Maybe it helps someone.
Open bootloader with FLASHTOOL(if your phone allows it) with Sony official code. You get it from Sony site.
Make update to 11.3.A.2.23 with EMMA
Install FRAMAROOT.apk and root your phone with Gandalf version
And you have latest version with opened bootloader and rooted!
By me its worked, but there is always a different way do to this!Just read and search and try and...
SONY E
C1505 SS
ROOTED
OPENED BOOTLOADER
11.3.A.2.23

Look, the dev who made that app didn't release it on xda.
He put it on Google Play Store instead, and put a price on it.
You are fully free to use the APKs that are available on xda (uploaded on xda) (and thank the dev for providing awesome stuff at no cost!)
Also note that it isn't xda who makes these apps, but the devs who do. And it's completely their choice if they want to upload the app on xda or on Play Store.
So show some respect to the dev - go and buy it.
P.S - I could upload the APK, but then admins and mods will come at me with all guns blaring and ban my account.
So, no hard feelings, but I cannot provide you the APK

dude piracy is not allowed.the dev has put much effort to develop the app.if you need it buy it from play store or choose free alternatives!
and once someone has bought a paid app from play store, that doesn't allow him to circulate the apk ! its for his own personal use!

Hello @all
I have a few questions, please reply
Q1. I installed various apps and then changed my ROM. After installing the new ROM i used some of the apps previously installed and backed up and discarded rest of the apps. Now when i login to play store it shows all the apps as installed which i previously installed even those apps which i dont even currently have. So how to correct the status at play store site?
I want play store to show only those apps which i have currently installed, I keep my google sync on generally.
Q2. Request users to share their experience for this. Which is the best music player app.
I use viper so sound is not a problem, I need interface, attractive, ease to use and most important this it should be Beautiful.
Q3. I am using a custom ROM, its beautiful, efficient and upto the mark, i don't want to change it but the ROM have one problem. If i install any app in SD card then after the reboot the app disappears. I searched a little and found that many have faced the problem but couldn't get a proper solution. So if Any one has any information about this please share.
@SuperDroid-BOND bro can you help with the Q3. I am using your ROM.

First,
This should be a cache issue, which may get restored when you restoring apps.
Clear everything of play services and play store from setting/apps would be fine I guess..
Best player is poweramp, it have inbuilt equaliser which enhance audio automatically and you also get options to edit equaliser also.
Maven player is also very awesome.. Very beautiful
You can get both cracked on poweramp.
I never install any app to SD coz we have a huge more than 1 gb for apo installing.
So you can ignore that by not installing apps to sd.

1). Backup all apps again.. And reboot ur phone itno recovery and from there wipe data and cache.
2). Poweramp is the best.. Im also using it right now.
3). No need to install in the sd card.. There is lot of space in A110. And if not then i think wiping data may solve this issue too.

Bro.. i just want to answer your Q1 because other 2 questions have been answered rightly by @jaunty bro :good:
for every ROM you flash it has different name.. so google treats it as a different device.
as you know one account can be used by multiple devices so the device with the current name is added to your devices list which means the apps that you installed on your previous ROM (previous device for google) is still installed on that device (google assumes)
so with this we can guess that unless you go back to that ROM and uninstall the apps it'll mark 'em as 'installed'
you can check your devices by using google play on PC.. :good:
