we have CM9.1, CM 10, MIUI, xperia ics rom, lg based rom, galaxy s3 based rom, and other ics roms....
doesnt take a genius to tell whats left.....HTC SENSE based ICS ROM..!!!

PROGRESS: no builds yet
INFORMATION:
1. Port from Desire C is possible....but ROM size is 286 MB RUU
2. one method might by using data++ but that would require s-off and another may be using a slim version of the ROM....
3. port is facing problems as there is difference in kernel version..Pico has 2.6.x kernel and Golf has 3.x kernel....
4. another method might be using HTC Rhyme ICS Rom

OK I say porting is very easy but how will you fit the huge rom in our small phone when we already have low memory issues
You can't put rom on SD
That phone has more than 1 Gb for rom we don't have
That's why HTC said they won't be releasing update for less than 512 mob phones like wildfire s and pico

. Well acordibg to gsmarena htc pico has 512 Rom and 512 ram what do you think I can't post any links to prove it
there is 246 mb in system rom of our device..probably a slim version of desire c rom may fit..but the point is we must try..
Well guyz I do not have much knowledge about this.It might turn out to be a foolish suggestion. I was wondering if it was possible to install the system files on internal ext partition so that we can solve the problem of shortage of internal memory.When we install a rom we can later move all system data to external ext so why not flash the rom on internal ext partition.is it possible??

i think if we remove some stock ringtones, alarm tones and all bloatware it would come down below 240 mb and we can fit that in..
hey guys I've already did that port months back and stipped rom to fit on our system partition but it never got booted up stuck on black screen it is maybe kernel problem. guess now we have working ICS on our phone its possible to bootup this rom.
Beware its not working so don't try this, dev's only check this.

We don't need to delete thing from sense 4.0a , check my post in 4.0.4 dev thread about sense 4, i said that we can use DATA + + method to port sense 4.0 which using system apps from sd-ext !
Check HTC Desire VT port in HTC bravo android development tree!

we require Data++ custom Hboot S-OFF that we don't have, Desire VT has similar specs as Pico will be easy to port. first thing make rom fit able. you can make it Derefas.

unfortunately , coz of some problems i had to stop all this stuff ...

Nope, there is CM9, which have some bugs but is pretty usable, there are miui ports, there are some based on CM9 roms, mostly there are thing to choose from.

try cm 9.1 its almost stable with a few bugs. and also you have to scrifice for video shooter. rather its worth installing.

It is working fine
It is very smooth.
It is overclocked to 800mhz also
If lockscreen lags then go to themes and select mixed and change lockscreen there.
To increase internal memory you can use m2sd script

CM9 Build#11 ... most stable ICS
CM9.1 Build 11 is almost stable if you want ICS.
There is also AOKP Jellybean RC3 by Ayushrox which i use currently, it only has a couple of bugs which can be fixed using third party apps.

I like htc sense but its not stable.

Never encountered those. And Ram shows 406. . Use a 3rd party app for USB tethering. Yes it's possible to get your HTC back to the original IF you made a back up of your stock rom. OR you can visit here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1754876 and search for the stock rom files. :silly:. I'm using CM10 Beta 1 , smooth and fast :victory:
I am havinv headset issues with cm10..no sound in headsets during calls..
I reflashed the rom and it worked properly for afew minutes but it is again not working.
Any solution?

Yes I can record videos. Haven't tried HTC Sense 4.0.

Just wanted to know which Rom is the best for Pico!
Right now i'm using CM 9.1.
I have just upgraded from cm 9.1 #9 to build #10 which is just out. It works great and reports are that all the slight bugs are fixed! This is the rom and Liverpool-fan is the man.
Comparing ROMs without any criteria like UI or performance is not done

No ROM is the best uptill now all sucks at something.... So if you want sense go for Jaggyjags's 4 something something, i cant remember names, for senseless cm 9.1 is good enough. That's my v limited experience till now havent tried JB yet, well wont really try it either.

If you want Stock gingerbread then go for Nextgen 1.5 and if you want something different then try CM9 build 10.

Well I tried most of the CM9.1 builds, AOKP (except the latest build #6), CM 10 Beta #2 and Sense Based ROMS.
And I found Xperia ICS by ShadowCode very stable with most features working (also added PimpMyRom, really helps).
Right Now, I'm using Sense 4.0a ROM by derefas and modded by bulletproof. It's very smooth and fast except Bluetooth doesn't work.
Slim cyan is a better one. It is really smooth

ICS = Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.x) :silly:
JB = Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.x and 4.2.x)
Bloatware is unwanted software, which is preinstalled by manufacturer on stock ROM
Till now cyanogen 9.1 working smoothly..here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821582 . Just have some problems which can be ignored.
this thread is useless. Please go to dev section and read, then find what is best rom for you.

some bad news and good news
first good sense 4+ did boot but very laggy and many(means many )fcs
bad news when tried to reboot device didn,t boot trying to find out the reason but it will take a lot time to develop it

1. Use aokp beta#2 as base. Or cm9.1 build#12
2. Mix popular user interfaces such touchwiz, sense and xperia to get a truly spectacular UI.
3. Use all sound enhancements
4. Lastly please over clock it.
5. Take your time.

Good suggestion but i like sense and i have got the reaon why it didnt boot. It was because of a problem in m10s editing them now but the rom will be ready by almost january end
Really. Wow, I can't believe it. Sense 4+ with jellybean. Dude you are gonna to make history. Just can you tell from where are you porting the rom from and whether you are using Linux kernel 3.0.16 or the 2.6.38.8 one. Cause I think you cannot make it without Linux kernel 3.0 and up.

i believe sense will always be half baked when porting is involved.... better to build CM10 witout bugs or start CM10.1 with integrated Linux 3.0 kernel ( i barely use bluetooth)

This is the first time I flashed a custom rom on my pico..it is cm10
It has these zip files
Cm10(20130314)unofficial alpha 5,
Pandora kernel v4(test release)
Gapps
Now I'm facing these problems
1.Incoming call voice is not good
2.bad camera
3.loud speaker not working
4.games stuck in broken screen
5.sim network often disables
So please tell me what extra files should I flash....?
Otherwise suggest me any stable rom

And one more doubt ....can I flash custom rom based on HTC higher stock ROMs like "HTC one jb sense 5" on my pico?

CM10 alpha 5 as the name tells is still in alpha stage so there are still some bugs to fix.
HTC Sense with JB is not yet ported for our pico.
But we have HTC Sense 4 by @derefas: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943775 .Thank him.
