So you can have 2 apps open side by side, how about having 2 browsers open side by side?
As far as I know you can't.
You can if you open browser and split screen with one of the other split screen apps- and than open overscreen browser app and set it ontop of the 2nd split screen app.
Yes i know - not the best way to do it- but it does work very well until Sammy opens the multi view to other apps.....:silly:
Its not as good but it does what you seem to be asking for, and its free, which is .....nice
Floating browser
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImdwYy5teXdlYi5oaW5ldC5uZXQuUG9wdXBXZWIiXQ..
Floating video(online youtube videos compatible, so watch a youtube vid and continue surfing, the above browser does the same, it just takes longer i.e. wait to load, click play, whereas the vid browser plays video imediatly once it loads, far lese fiddly)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sImdwYy5teXdlYi5oaW5ldC5uZXQuUG9wdXBWaWRlbyJd
Too bad these floating browsers can't be used for apps instead.
Split Browser
You might want to take a look at Split Browser.
Search for "Split Browser" in Google Play. There is a 5 minute trial version and a paid full version.
At Appestry we developed Split Browser to solve the above problem and add some unique features that are lacking in Android:
Open links and bookmarks from one half into the other half and/or in a new tab.
Resize the two browser halves by dragging the yellow divider line (just like in Note)
Watch videos in full view within each half.
Start new tabs and switch them between the two halves.
Copy the current page over to the other half.
Press and hold back/forward arrows to view history and jump to a page in the list.
... and a whole lot more.
Hope y'all find it useful. Please contact us if you have any questions or feedback for improvements!

Hello everyone! Can you share your own experience with multitasking and multiwindow apps on Note Pro 12.2? Which apps are you using and why?
Thank you!!!
I usually run Internet browser and chrome or Facebook and chrome side by side. And some Other combos. Works perfectly
Also, are there any specific apps that can make other apps multiwindow compatible without rooting?
Look here: Anything better than Multitasking Pro by OryonCorp?
The thing to remember about forcing applications to do windowed mode is that some may not render properly when the window is scaled. Sometimes text or graphical elements will stretch as the window proportions are changed. Most applications will still function but the look may change when in window mode as a result.
Also, in the case of a multiwindow patcher like Spere is linking to another thread when the application is converted it's signature changes breaking the link to the Play Store as a result so you'll no longer get update notifications for it. Spere mentions this in the thread that was linked to.
Personally I don't use multiwindow too much because I don't find it as useful as I had hoped. I'm the type of person that looks for efficient ways to do things and since the tablet isnt the ideal means for me to do the production type work that I like to do I just don't find it beneficial . . . so i end up using my macbook or my workstation at work. Essentially my main use for multiwindow on my Note Pro ends up being video watching while browsing or for keeping a Hangouts chat window open while doing something else. Occasionally I'll pop open a window for ES File Manager or something while composing an email but other than that . . meh . . Not used much.
If it were easier to change to windowed mode like it is on a Note 4 with the window proportion being locked but scaleable that would be nice but we don't have that functionality yet on the Note Pro.

Can you tell me what do you mean? An example maybe?
I am looking for a way to make more apps to be able to appear on the "multitasking pane" so I can have the screen splitted in 4 areas. Any help with that?
Can we also have 2 instances of chrome in 2 areas and 2 other apps on other areas of we split the screen in 4?
Thank you very much for your answers!!!
With regards to the Note 4 mutliwindow being different it's a mixed bag . . . Many of us Note Pro users like the pen window functionality and the ability to slide in a panel from the right edge of the screen that has icons for all mutiwindow enabled applications that can then be dragged onto the screen to create an instance of it. You don't get the same thing with the Note 4; what you get is no pen window support, and the right side menu has to be accessed via a long press of the back key rather than a simple swipe gesture.
What you do get with the Note 4 that I really want is the ability to be inside any mutiwindow enabled application FULLSCREEN and by a gesture from the upper right corner of the screen inward, grab the upper right corner of the application and create a windowed instance of it. This feature essentially allows you to go from fullscreen to window, back to full screen . . AT WILL. You cannot do that with a Note Pro.
Bear in mind that because I'm not a bluetooth keyboard user multiwindow is of no real major benefit to me other than for content consumption type stuff (videos in windows, chat windows etc.). Since I do not use an external keyboard, as soon as I need to type in any application I must deal with an onscreen keyboard and at that point I hit a roadblock with regards to available screen real estate. Having a small floating onscreen keyboard only goes so far to mitigate the issue. This is not an issue for those who are using this tablet as a laptop replacement and have a bluetooth keyboard since there's no need for onscreen keyboard overlays.
I'm a big fan of android, used it for a lot of years since the HTC HD2 phenomenon started getting bigger and bigger. After that, fast forward, I've tried out an iphone 5 for a year, and I've gotten used to some features that I wish to see if they can be modded into android or even come with newer versions of stock android.
So, here's what I would like to see if it can be done on Android:
When you receive an SMS with some keywords such as "meet me tomorrow", tomorrow is underlined and after clicking it it jumps you to creating a pre-filled event for tomorrow.
When in the stock browser I play streaming audio such as soundcloud or a live online radio, the notification bar (and the notification bar in the lockscreen) pins play/pause & volume controls for that stream and, keeps them there even if I switch away from the browser and do something else, and that's a very convenient shortcut for me.
If you receive an sms, you can quickly reply on the lockscreen, you even get a keyboard
When I click a video, it automatically goes fullscreen, no matter if I'm on youtube or a webpage
Add shortcuts to web pages on the launcher
Are these features present?
Please, no flame-wars, this is just a subjective review of features that I use, not necessarily features that are the best or that android must have.
This seems to be already present, so scratch one off the list.

1. Works sometimes with Now on Tap
2. chrome creates a notification when listening to souncloud which lets you pause the music
3. I think some OEM ROMS have this option and you can add it to any device using floatify
4. you can play videos from the browser in fullscreen mode
5. yes thats possible
Not my app, just found in a Reddit post--tried it, it's amazing. Basically, whatever you're using right now is probably inferior. I used Boat Browser, then Chrome extensively. Dabbled in Dolphin, Firefox, Maxthon, and a few others. Habit Browser beats them all handily. Amazingly, it's free!!!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.ddo.pigsty.HabitBrowser
Best mostly unique features of HB (Habit Browser):
Set URL re-directs: don't you hate when XDA forum links from a Google search don't open Tapatalk? HB allows you to add new URL re-directs to apps (as many as you want)
Customize EVERY toolbar: customize the address bar, tab toolbar, and browsing toolbar (back, forward, refresh, home) to 1) go away 2) place exactly where you want them (top, bottom, this toolbar on top of that, etc.), 3) change the buttons (with swiping and long-press functionality), 4) themes, and lots more
Set a real home-page, meaning it will open when you open a new tab.
Pie control.
Gestures for flicking that DO NOT require another "interface" (like Dolphin's odd implementation).
A bajiillion more. Not even kidding; easily over 100 options.
The first three sold it to me instantly ("sold"...it's ACTUALLY FREE). I implore you to try it, not because I like it, but because it will change your Android browsing experience for the better.

Mobile browser Stargon with convenient gestures. Stargon Browser is a lightweight and fast browser that allows you to browse the Internet conveniently with gestures.
The overall UI is easy to use with one hand, and the bottom bar can be changed in size, transparency and icon position.
Some browsers with gestures are very slow and have very hard movements. The Stargon browser introduces a page turning system for a smoother, faster response. This page turning is so convenient that once used it is hard to use other browsers.
There are many features you need to make your browser surfing more convenient.
? Key features
? Gesture - You can swipe through web pages with the swipe function.
? Ad Block - Ad filters help you remove unnecessary ads from your web pages.
? Custom fonts - Users can apply fonts, sizes, and thicknesses to web pages.
? Night mode - Supports high-performance night mode that reduces eye strain.
? Downloader - Built-in downloader that can download image and video and watch it.
? Full screen - Full screen capability to immerse yourself in web pages.
? Capture - There's a web capture feature for full, continuous, and partial screenshots.
?️ Safe Browsing - Safe browsing is possible by blocking dangerous sites in advance.
? Secret mode - You can start secret mode anytime, anywhere without secret tabs.
Translate - Translate web with Google translation system.
Many other functions are also built in.
This browser is still unknown. There are some shortcomings, but if necessary, it is reflected after the review.
I am a browser developer and I hope many of you will use this browser.

I've rated this 4/5 on Android Playstore. I've been looking for a Kiwi Browser replacement. Please look into the open source addon extension made available from Kiwi and implement. Bottom bar navigation would be awesome as well. Keep up the great work, will rate 5/5 once those two suggestions are implemented.
I've got one question and couple of suggestions.
Where do the "Saved Pages" go ? These aren't even accessible from archive in the main menu.
Replace the "Archive" with a proper Download Manager tool.
Replace "Text Editor" tool with an image editor tool that includes marker, eraser & text insertion, like that one in Google Photos or you can check Pure Browser's screenshot editor tool. :good:
The desktop tab look doesn't have the square button to push to view all open tabs. The problem is more than 5 tabs open the tabs get hidden behind the 5th tab so I could have 9 tabs open I only see 5 unless I swipe the tabs to scroll sideways.
When the phone is closed I get the square button again which is much easier to see and switch pages. I want this full time in open mode. I know I can close it and open chrome then unfold it and it'll stay but I shouldn't have to always do that.
Any help?
As far as I'm aware, this might be because you have "See more content at the same time" enabled under the "Screen layout and zoom" option. At least that's what I've heard the Samsung browser does (shows tabbed when this is enabled and shows a button for tabs when "Make content larger so it's easier to see" is enabled).
The challenge is this is a system wide setting so if you revert back, apps like messages and files will no longer show a segmented UI where for example in the messages app you have a list of your messages on the left, and on the right you have a thread view of the selected message.
Personally I use Firefox which has the tabs behind a button even with the show more content option enabled and I can use addons, but appreciate you may prefer Chrome.
Perhaps you can try this? I.e enable the grid layout
https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/...-for-the-tab-switcher-but-you-can-disable-it/
you are correct ! i changed the settings and the tabs disappeared but now everything is huge on screen, youtube is single column, messages single column, etc
i want the show more content but just remove the tabs from chrome!
enable grid layout only affects how the tabs look when you push the tab switcher button which is non-existant with the show more content setting
Hey mate - think I've just found a solution for you. In Bixby Routines you can start a trigger event based on when Chrome is opened and there's an action under display where you can get the display zoom to show larger content. After Chrome closes or is minimized, it reverts the zoom setting back.
I've tested it, there's a little bit of a delay to Chrome switched from tabbed to tabbed switcher but it works at least.
It works OK. But not in multi app views which I usually have Gmail and Chrome open side by side. But full screen apps works great except for the delay. Thanks!

That doesn't make any difference. Tried it just now. Closed all apps reopened chrome still has desktop top tabs and no switch tabs button.

Ah ok, I think I might have misunderstood what your problem is.
You could install Good Lock, and one of the modules MultiStar has some settings in there that you could mess around with (Also check the "I love Galaxy Foldable" section there too)
