Try get ril app in the market. It will only show you rils for your baseband and makes replacing ril easy.

Researching and reading some homeowner concerns of htc sensation, I have observed that a large number of users after making root and s-off a large majority are having problems with the responsiveness of the data signal on the phone, even do not know that usually this problem if the custom ROM or made S-OFF, so if we know the problem is there, if you have the same problem post your complaints here.
people forget to match up radio versions and corresponding rils. i haven't had any issues with the properly matches rils/radios.

Noob here, i just want to ask how to check if i have matching radio and rils, i have flashed the arhd 4.1.4 on my phone and the radio that matches with the rom. I tried going back and forth to different arhd versions and i still ended up with unstable signal mainly on my carrier, wifi and data is fairly good. any tips and tricks u could share with me to fix this problem.. thanks in advance

Here's what you want, but I tell you that I tried everything and still does not solve this problem, I combined the radio and RIIL and versions anyway and I have not been able to solve this problem

So your still stuck with the same problem as me? Or did you just go back to out of the box stock Rom? I was thinking of just go with the stock, since I've been having problems mainly on signal issues after I flashed arhd and I can't stand having to turn airplane mode on and off everytime to gain signal.

Root and a off don't relate to signal, but what you flash after that does. Easiest solution is to use the same radio and ril combo as was included stock, whichever ROM you're using. Newer radios can give some improvements, but also can cause issues

Meaning the radio that comes with the out of the box stock , radio that comes with the phone when I first got it?

This usually only happens when you flash a GB radio in ICS, or an ICS radio in GB. Try to flash a stock ICS radio. On the Sensation, radios seem to make little difference.
where can i find a stock ics radio
Thanks dude got it figured out! Thanks for the suggestion! Worked once I found the five ics radios

Lol so many posts of confused users trying to fix their radio during this outages at least the leap-second did not harm our beloved Sensation...

He might not have been affected by the outage though. Some people lost EDGE and HSPA+, others lost just HSPA+ and the rest didn't lose anything.
Hi everyone , i've bought a secondhand HTC sensation recently , then found out it was rooted, it was running under android gingerbread , so i've unrooted it to update to ICS . but since then my signal keeps getting lost . so i rooted the phone again , and got HTC revolution HD , same problem encountered . please someone can help ? Have you tried changing your radio and ril files? Start with the generic ics radio and ril. I'll give you link. Please read the instructions carefully. Also I believe you must be s off to do this. I had signal problems and changed my radio and ril and it's been good ever since. Here is link. Again read instructions carefully.hope this helps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202867

Hey, I'm in the Los Angeles Area on the T-Mobile network, I was just curious whether there is a better radio for my phone?
I'm running
Paranoid Android v20,
And my radio is:
RADIO-11.23.3504.07_M2
Is there one I should install that's better?
Thanks.
I'm Tmobile and live about 40 minutes from L A. My radio is 1176A350400P_1125A3504.31_M. it's a great signal always 4G. Give it a try. Hope this helps

Hi,
Go to the market and get "Getril"
It will show you the best combination of radio/ril for your area.

Kay, so I downloaded GetRil and it recommended a new RIL based on the Baseband I have. No mention of where I live.
So now that my Baseband and RIL match. What's the best Baseband for my area? (Since I can update the RIL to match with GetRil) I heard elsewhere that flashing the T-Mobile Radio gives us T-Mobile users better signal. Is this true? Or would flashing 1176A350400P_1125A3504.31_M like realsis recommends be better? I have no idea. Thanks for helping me get my Baseband and RIL to match though! Now I just need to figure out what the best Baseband is for Los Angeles.

Hi,
There is no right and wrong here.
The best radio is the one that works.
You may need to experiment with different ones, including the T-MOUS one.

Alright thanks. Where would I download them? And is there some sort of benchmark app for the radio? Or how would I know I have the best one when I do?

i assume you are S-OFF
Yes I'm s-off. The only thing I'm not yet is sim unlocked. But that doesn't matter one iota.

Well. I'm getting 2-4Mbps with my current radio. So I think I'll leave it alone for now. I don't want to brick it. Thanks for the help! Both of you.

Yep same thing here. I am on T-Mobile but no 4g. More or less happened when I upgraded to the new Hboot 2.15. I have since downgraded with a RUU file. And installed newest venom Rom. But I can't connect faster than EDGE. I have read on the T-Mobile forums that people had this problem when upgrading to jellybean. It is a known problem, butan I wish there was a fix. It sucks.
So ?

Maybe I am missing something but the fix for "stuck on Edge" and not getting 4G is not there at the link you posted above.
to the OP of this thread - yes, this seems to be a known problem. I too lost my 4G when I upgraded from Stock (on my TMO HTC ONE S) to custom roms (4.1.2) - no matter what I did, I was never able to get 4g working. .. wish there was a fix for this but there isn't.....
Now.. I know that a different radio (not the one on my phone) gives you 4G - the trick is to find a flash for this particular radio and also (someone corrects me if i am wrong) but you gotta be S-OFF if you want to flash radio - I am not S-OFF so even if I find this radio (version : RADIO-1.11t.50.02.22) I won't be able to flash it... sucks...
Anyone knows / can post a link to where we can get this radio : RADIO-1.11t.50.02.22 ...
