And I've many questions to ask.
My phone is in a repair shop and the owner of it is searching in the down-town here in Egypt for someone using JTAG.
But seems there is nothing like that in Egypt.
1-So there is any other way to unbrick the phone?
2- what about creating gold card with another android phone?
3- what about JIG connection which requires 301 ohm resistors to force open download mode?
4- Does this phone supported in "HTC unbricking project"?
Device information:
HTC magic 32A by vodafone.
Rooted.
Running the official rom right now (before the brick is done)
bricked due to updating radio found in ginger yoshi thread.
I can't access Hboot, recovery mode.
The phone freezes at Vodafone start-up screen.

I didnt brick my device but I want to know is there any solution for a Half Bricked Devices ???
I test various ways :
- Goldcard Method : No . Because a half brick device dosent have "USB Host" mode
- HTC OEM Update : NO . nothing changed
- Stock ROM : NO . because i cant insall ROM !!!!
Any body know ?
There are several threads with more-or-less that exact subject line in the Dev&Hacking sub-forum. If none of them are working for you, it's extremely unlikely that the Q&A forum will have the solution. Try those methods, and if they don't work ask for help on those threads.

this is what i get in recovery mode.i used DFT_RSPL_WP7FG2..serial became USB".running the programme-Microsoft sync 4.5 installed-all is going well until i get error message.spl version max available was 3.14.failed anyway.next i ran the WP7FG1 programme and now i got no serial or usb showing up on recovery mode.
is it cause the bootloader has been screwed?i read somewhere downgrading is necessary to update to the new 7.8 roms(spl 5.12 not supported so..)
what can i do to fix the situation.is there any way to downgrade without y usb connector.advice from senior members please.

I shouldn't help you for being that lazy.
But... you must use goldcard method, that will fix your problem to downgrade the bootloader and install customs...

I need some help if you may please. I bought an HTC One M9 phone and for a while it's been telling me to update to the newest android version. However, this was impossible because even when I downloaded de update from TMobile, when restarting, TWRP would kick in and wouldn't let me go through the whole setup. So, I got to some tutorials and I found some guidance but it's all so confusing and I've gotten to a point where I have no idea what to do next.
Phone is from:
-TMobile
What I did:
-Got rid of TWRP
-Got it back to unroot
Phone status as of now:
It works fine, but it's still not updated.
When going into the HTC Download mode screen, i get the following info:
-UNLOCKED
-htc_himaul PVT S-ON

-Warning: Security checking failed NOT_FIND_SMARTIO

ADB is not reading my device when in download mode, I was trying to install stock recovery by following a tutorian in android soul: how to install stock recovery on htc one m9 (sorry but the forum won't let me post the link.
What do I need to do? There are so many tutorials out ther with so many different instructions that I'm totally confused now as to what to install or not to install :crying:. I'd like to install the Developer version but if I have to deal with the Tmobile one, that's ok.

Hi I succesfully flashed my brother in laws Lenovo A369i with the latest firmware Lenovo_A369i_4.2.2_(by_xdafirmware.com).zip found at http://firmwarefile.com/lenovo-a369i
I followed this guide and used the flash tool included in the firmware package above, and the latest usb drivers from below:

According to the phone, this version is A369I_S110_140108 - and when checking for updates it says that this is the latest one - but how can I be sure?
I searched on google and most of the times there are sites that claim to have the latest but they don't write which version it is(very anoying) so I can spend many hours(very slow internet connection) on downloading the one I already have or one older.
The information and guides on here Xda has not been updated for a while.
The Phone works with both phone calls and sms, but the IMEI is not written - so should I do that with SN_Write_Tool_v2.1504.00.zip, MTK Droid Tools or is there an easier way to do it - or should I just forget about it?
UPDATE: I got this sorted out now, by rooting with framaroot and using Chamelephon to first make random IMEI then reboot and change the IMEI to the correct ones.

My second problem is that the phone were unlocked before I flashed it and now its locked again - are there a guide to unlock it?
The phone were not bought with subscription, we bought it here in the philippines from Lenovo Mobile( not real Lenovo company but dealer/importer allowed to use the name(for god sake stay away from them)) and after repair the dealer sent back different older model(this A369i) with less battery and locked to Globe. After trying for 2 months to get them to give us the unlock code, I gave up fighting them and had it unlocked at phone repair shop were they had to use a box to do it, so I never got any code.

As this is the first time I have flashed an Mediatek phone, are there anything else that I need to do?
