Power your phone down, and then power it up holding either both volume bottons or the down volume button, when you see the "Samsung" logo pop up, let go of the power button but keep holding the volume button(s), and youll go right into CWM

Download anreboot from Google Play, set the shortcut on the home screen and get into recovery the easy way.

Power Off the phone first. Then :
For Recovery : VOL UP + OK (HOME) + POWER
For Download : VOL DOWN + OK (HOME) + POWER

you got your words jumbled up there
when you have your phone off, hold the vol up + home buttons, then press and hold the power button along with the other two. when the phone vibrates and the first screen display shows, let go of the power button and keep holding the vol up + home buttons. what happens?

you cannot hold both up and down at the same time. they have different functions as seen in the post by arindam.

yes, assuming you follow my instructions, the first "default popup screen" will show as normally happens, stating that the phone is an sgs i9003, etc. that is what happens at the same time the phone vibrates to let you know it successfully started booting and to let go of the power button. so let it go and keep holding the vol up + home (ok) buttons! then what happens?
I think he is confused !!
I think he facing the same problem with me !!
I think he means when press volume up +home key+power
then the recovery mode is an original from android which is show on my device as Adroid recovery : so that there is no Choose ZIP from sdcard and other commands which is importand to flash new rom version.
In fact i need it show me the Clockworkmode recovery :
so I have to root my device first then you will get clockworkmode automaticly, right ?
thanks

No. there is nothing automatic with root. If you want the CWM Recovery, then you have to flash the CWM or the cf-root (universal or for your FW).

Home button doesnt work because you need to Trim your rom before you flash it so files don't get overwritten when flashing gapps with it.
If you can't access recovery then go into developer settings and tick advanced boot menu
then click & hold your power button and click reboot
then it will give you options
recovery
bootloader
reboot
just tick recovery and it'll automatically go into cwm

HY,you need to press home+power+volume down, but you need to do this when your phone is shut down. When you feel a vibration let go the power button and keep holding volume+home till you get to recovery(CWM) and proceed to backup/restore click backup, and youre done.PLEASE PRESS THANKS IF I HELPED YOU!!!!!
Thanks for the reply! I did the Volume Up + Home + Power button and release the Power once the Samsung S3 logo comes up (I've disabled the startup vibration). Once I do this, it takes me to this screen where the Android bot has fallen down and a red triangle with an exclamation mark is placed on top of it. There are options to do reset, flash, update from ex. sd card but NO option to do back up .... Next to the Android bot, there is a text that reads Multi-CSC successfully done.

HY,do you have CWM recovery installed as it should on your android device?
Yep. I went to the Google Play store and downloaded the CW ROM Manager. Before this, I did root my phone using a method suggested in this thread earlier, via ODIN.
Am I missing something that I had to do?
Appreciate your replies!

HY, you can remove the red triangle by going to play store and download triangleaway apk from CHAINFIRE.I think that it should work, but if it doesnt do what you did before to get to the recovery that gave you the red triangle and press again power button +volume up,on moust devices this works.

U ll have to release the button combinations after u sense a vibration, that's missing over there

CAnt access CWM Mode on Samung WAVE GT-S8500

Hello,
I installed this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2550138
Evrything works fine (Exept Googleplaystore) but the only downside to this i cant access the recovery mode (for GApps) at all.
All combination (holding Vol+/Power , VOL+/Home, Vol-/Power) with all starting combination dont let me access RECOVERY MODE but only start the cyanogenmod.
The only thing i deleted after installing is the Rom Zip file. zImage still there etc.
I want to install GAPPS but i cant find a solution on any site.
Is it not Vol UP + Home + Power? not just the 2 buttons as you put..
Press and hold Vol Up, Home, Power (in that order) .. keep holding until Samsung Wave logo comes up.. then you can let go of Power.

No, it isn't....the instruction on the side tell.. VOL+ and Power but that doesn't work at all.
Dound a "workaround" .
IN Deveelopermode u can set it to "restart to recovery" and that way u can access it. Easier.

Hmm.. i didn't know that about the Wave.
We'll that's why these forums are good.. we are always learning.
With that option, we're you able to get to the recovery to install GApps properly?
