SOLUTION
First, I'll tell you the reason of the problem!
Reason: The memory card you are using is not a high speed one! You have moved a lot of apps to the memory card! Each time you restart the device the memory card is scanned for apps and media! Certain apps that need to be loaded at start up have also been moved to the memory card. Due to the pathetic read speed of the memory card these apps don't get loaded in time and this sparks a reboot cycle(can't say why)
Solution: Move all the apps to the internal memory of your phone! Reboot! Problem solved! (Next time move only a few apps to the memory card!)
else
Order a high speed memory card over ebay!
Thnx!

a quick fix :
I removed some files from .android_secure of external sd card and it stopped reboot
seems Transcend is not something which should be looked for when looking for a high speed card.
can someone suggest how can we see reboot logs in un-rooted android ?? ( any app out there in market??)
Buddy removing apps from .android.secure is the same as moving them back to phone, only difference is that by moving apps to phone you wouldn't have lost them!
Using logcat for debugging from the bootlog:
• Boot into recovery.
• Open Terminal on your computer (run >cmd)
• Enter the required logcat command. Preferably, -v long. (adb logcat -v long > logcat.txt)
• In recovery tell it to reboot the phone. The logcat will start recording internally on your device at boot automatically.
• Once the phone is at the lockscreen let it sit for 5 minutes.
• Unlock the phone and let it sit for about 10 seconds.
• Restart the phone.
• Once you restart the phone open the logcat file on your desktop to make sure it’s not blank/empty/something went wrong and if everything’s golden - send to your favorite developer.

Like always make sure you have a apps to sd rom. I would recomned haykuros 5.0.2 G r3 build with apps to sd.
I am not going to cover how to do this here as there is already alot of tutorials explaining this already.
First you should use a card reader and your favorite partioning program to shrink the fat32 partion and make a ext2 partition I would recomend atleast 100 mb. I used acronis disk director suite to make partition. Paragon or any other disk management program would work.
Once completed go download this www.tauruspc.net/scripts.zip
Extract the two scripts to your sdcard and then put back in phone.
Forgot to mention. These scripts move the data and dalvik-cache just FYI
Per other threads says sometime people have problems. But I have ran these on 5 devices with 3 different roms with no issues.
If this is the first time you are putting on apps to sdcard or that build
Download terminal from market and use these two commands
su
sh /sdcard/appstosd.sh
Once that is done reboot phone to recovery console by home and power button to turn on and then apt x
you should get a prompt then and use these two commands
mount sdcard
sh /sdcard/appstosd2.sh
If all goes well phone should restart and when if backup and running enjoy having all apps on sd and a permanent 73 mb free on the phone.
After performing these steps my G1 hangs on the "T-Mobile G1" boot screen.
What software are you running. And you need have apps to sd first with a formated memory card with an ext2 part. Because if you don't have formated card will not work. When you ran script did you get any errors?
script name
hello
the script down load as appstosd1.sh and appstosd2.sh and your post says the 1st one is appstosd.sh
I just rebooted the phone on the 2nd part, i hope this works :/
ive tried like 5 or 6 different ways and thus far none are working
[email protected]
If it works great but my advice guys if it ain't broke don't fix it, its already easy enough with all the tutorials out there.
Why not just use this app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=504451
Install the APK and run the app. How much easier can you get? (Yes you still have to format your card but thats easy.

I am running 5.0.2G-A2SD, I have the sd-card formatted properly.. oh well, the I just followed the other tutorials out there and it worked flawlessly.
EDIT: Okay so I tried this again for the sake of testing, and I can confirm that it works. I guess I did something wrong the first time around.
quick question, do you have to leave the scripts on the sd card or can you take them off when your thru?

You can take them off.. they are just scripts to install the apps to sd. I can also confirm 73MB internal memory.. thank you for these wonderful scripts OP
EDIT: Hmm.. my browser does not seem to work anymore.
i'm getting an error "the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly."
also, tried a reboot and it hung on android screen for ever. did a wipe and had to re-do the scripts for appstosd, still receieving the error above.
Yeah I'm getting force close for anything I click on in the notification bar.
Ok can someone walk me through partitioning my sd card? I have Paragon Partition Manager 9 Pro, and when I delete the partition on my sd, it wont let me create a new one, and it always goes back to saying the whole card is partitioned as an FAT32 when it jus said unallocated
Thanks man. Worked great. Hopefullly I don't run into any future problems.

I don't have the link offhand but if you go over to androidcommunity I think you can do a search for a tutorial on how to use Paragon. Good luck.
i think you forgot to mention that a class 6 card is needed to move data/data over to the sd card
im using a class 4 card and when i moved data/data over to my sd card my phone would lock up without me doing anytihng. within 2 seconds of seeing the lock screen it would lag and then force close constantly.
i tried to move it numerous times. no luck
if u have a class 2 card dont even try moving apps to sd
and if u have a class 4 moving everything except data/data and dalvik-cache will be fine. ive moved my dalvik-cache over to my sd card and not that many problems. the ocasional force close but w/e
summary :-D
class 6 = only for moving everything over
class 4 = everything except data/data and dalvik cache
class 2 = buy a class 4 or class 6 card

How to create sd partition and move app to sd-ext..?? Any suggested tutorials..??
Excited .. My first post in XDA.. Hopefully not my last
Just a comment:
1GB of internal storage is usually enough even if you have a lot of apps. I, for example, have ~55 apps installed and I still have 600mb of free space.
Partitioning your card and using an ext partition as internal memory is not that good because: it will damage the card in time (continuous read-write on SD) and it's recommended you have at least a good class 6 card because the read/write speeds of your stock 8gb SD are way slower than the speeds of the internal flash memory.
Did you really run out of internal momeory on your Sensation?

Hi
Let android do it for you.
Go to settings/ apps/ all, and click on the app you want to move.
There will be an option to "move to sd card"

Anyway, moving an app to sd using android's app to sd is different than using a partition on your sd as internal memory.

hi
I've got a problem almost in the same category
my phone is sensation xe with beats audio runnicing ICS with sense 3.6
Problem in short : I can't move any app to my sd card !!!
I've tried the offecial built in feature of moving apps to sd card but every time I do i get the message " can't move app "
I've also tried a third party app like "Apps2sd" but the same problem exists.
any ideas what could be the probem and what solutions can be applied
yes,are you rooted?? If not their are LIMITATIONS on which apps can be moved and which can't. Unless your rooted you have to obide to these limits. Now if your rooted its a different story, you SHOULD be able to move just about ANY app you want! Of course you want to be careful what you move because it can interfere with things like moving widjets to SD will sometimes cause them not to work. But you can easily move them back when you want to use them. Hope this helped!

Code:
su
pm setInstallLocation 2
And more apps will magically have the ability to move to your SD card.

Here are the complete details which shows about the memory :
In Task Manager it is showing : System Storage -> 10.24GB/11.87GB
From Settings > Storage :
Total Space : 11.77GB
Apps : 1.39GB
Pictures, videos : 213MB
Audio : 0.91 GB
Downloads : 20.01MB
Miss : 1.52 GB
Available : 1.52 GB
From settings > Application Manager :
Device memory : 10GB Used
1.7GB free
cache...
Not sure if you have already tried this... Use a good cache cleaner and check if something is taking up space in cache
Also are you using link2SD ? If yes let us know..
Connect the Tab to computer and check how much free space it shows in explorer...if it too shows 10GB used then definitely somewhere a big file is taking up space...
Last thing that comes to my mind is , install " SD Maid " and there is a option to list Top 50 Biggest size file...please check if that helps
any workaround?

You know guys, I already found the answer to this and posted it for all to find. I cannot take credit for this, another fellow got irritated that his kid could not install games anymore, so he figured it out. The answer is not all that bad and is easy, and quick.
Use ClockworkMod ROM Manager to boot into recovery. Use the menu to format your internal SDCard. Reboot. You will loose all of your apps and have to start over, but your Google account will recover and put back everything in fairly short order. Mine completely restored itself in about ½ an hour. Sweet!
Losing all storage on the internal card is a very, very frustrating thing and it drove me nuts for longer than it should have. My girl was SO upset that I would lose all of her game progress that I could not update for a while until I used Titanium Backup to backup all the stuff on the tablet. Titanium Backup restored all of her game data so that she would not have to play Jewels Star from the beginning again, she already cleared all 3 major hard board and gained a bonus board of 100 more levels. Lose that and man I would be dead meat. Titanium put it all back, thank God. Another bad thing is the apps would not even update anymore, no room. Oh, baby is here now, time for bed.
Please, click the Thanks button if this post helps you! Night night everyone.
One question - is formatting internal SD safe? Won't it delete system or something? I don't need to flash rom or anything else after that?

'Internal SD' is a separate partition of the internal memory away from 'system' partition. So no worries that you will screw anything up by formatting internal SD.
HI: I don't know if this has been asked before. What I need to know is the difference between Internal memory-1 and Internal memory-2. On my Freelander SXZ-PDXO-03 when I go to Settings/ Storage I get Internal Storage (which I will call INT Storage-1) all it says is Total Space=504 MB and APPS=409MB and available 62.69MB. Then it says Internal Storage (which I call INT Storage-2) it says Total Space=5.79GB Apps=479mb Pic./Vid.=108MB DwnLds=273MB Available=3.99GB. My Question is what is the difference between the 2 Int.Storage's and when I try to download an App it says out of mem space when I have 62.69MB in Int. Storage-1 and 3.99GB in Int Storage-2. How do I tell the dwnldr to downloader it to Int Storge-2 or my ExtSD card where I have 21.7FGB of Storage space left? I know this along Question but I am confused on the nomanclature of how Memory is Designated. Also another Question is my system is rooted and is there a way to tell the System to Recognize a 64GB,128Gb SD Card where it now only recognize a 32GB card. thanks for any help you can give me on my Questions Dan Mericle Sr (danvdman)
Difference is that your internal (phone) memory is partitioned to 2 parts. 1st part, with only a total of 504mb used to store apps while the 2nd part that acts like an external card with a total of 5.79gb used to store other files like music, pictures, etc. To resolve this, go to settings > storage and select memory card under preffered installation location to allow you to install apps directly to your SD card but be mindful that not all apps can be moved to SD. As for your 2nd question, that i am not aware so lets leave it to the experts.

HI: Thanks that clears up a little bit of confusion:good: I tried your Fix but can't find how to select memory card under preffered. There is no sutch selection offered just the memory stats. Now how do I make more memory available to the apps Internel mem 1.79GB? like make 1.79GB available which would then make Internal memory-2 total=4GB that would take care of out of memory error on downloads. HI: I still haven't heard from any one about my Previous problem. Here are the things I tried. I have an old Sony Computer it has Win XP on it. I tried to put UBUNTU 13.10 Fat32 on it as the Sony only has 256 MB Ram and a Pentium III CPU. But it won't load it comes up with a pink screen then goes blank. I can see HDD active light blinking and a cursor blinking in the upper left corner of my monitar screen. I let run for 1-HR + one day and it did nothing. What am I doing wrong? Maybe the Version of UNBUTU is to new. Maybe I need an earlyer version? I was hoping that being that 4EXT is a LINUX file type that I could find a LINUX partition manager and change the 1st partition to Fat 32 do you think that would work?

HI: I solved the problem :good: I was reading TOM'S Hardware Forum late last night. But they were talking about SD Cards. One of the problems was there SD card was write protected and was wondering how a SD card got that way, and how to un protect it? The narrator said all SD cards and Adapters come with a switch on the right side and some times it gets pushed to the lock posistion.. A lot of people don't know about this switch. Sure enough I checked and my all of my Adapters had the switch in the locked posistion. So I unlocked one of the Adapters and tried Minitool Partition manger and it let me delete and repartition my 32GB CD card to FAT-32. So THANKS stipipoy for your answer it pointed me in the right direction

I have a weird problem. I am using my Xperia L, running 4.2.2(Out of The Box) with the latest official Firmware. Its not rooted.
4.2.2+ supports moving Apps to SD without Root.
I have Noticed one thing. If youre going to Buy a New Phone Running 4.2.2+, If you start the phone for the first time(just after buying), with no memory card, after youve switched on the phone and try to move Apps to SD, it wont Happen!! The apps will only move to the Internal Storage.
But,if you start the phone(For the First Time) with memory card Inserted, then it will recognize the mem Card as Your external storage. From settings now you can move Apps to SD.
Why does this Happen??
Can anyone help me to solve this??
Factory reset Is an option i Know but I wanted to Know if Other solutions Existed.
I tested It with Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 and Moto E , by Inserting the Mem card first, Then Starting the Phone (for the First time). For Both of the phones, the Mem card was taken as the external and apps could be the Moved to SD via Settings.
But for my Xperia L, I didnt insert the Memory card and switched it on(just after buying) . When I inserted the Mem Card later, and tried to Move Movable apps to SD, the apps would only move to The Internal Memory.
Thank You in Advance.

we cannot move apps directly to external memory, we are only allowed to move apps to internal..but if u wanted to move apps on external, u nid to swap them but its too risky if u dont know what u are doing.
