[MOD][JB][4.1] Mini LatinIME - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

This thread intended for devices with limited system memory such as LG Optimus One Family devices ( P500, P505, P506, P509 ). This mod is to assist in shrinking in the overall size of the /system partition to allow for the installation of Google Apps.
I should note that I am not creating the dictionaries. I am simply placing one dictionary from each predefined dictionary into a LatinIME.apk that has English also. Please don't ask me to create a dictionary for your language if it isn't already defined, as I cannot make them. I'm only doing this to lend a hand to those who don't know how.
If your language isn't listed below, then either I haven't made an apk for it yet or your language isn't supported.

A thought. You could also use ES File Explorer's App Manager to uninstall it. There is also an option to create a backup of the app, in Es File Explorer's settings, before deleting it.
You don't need to delete it tho. Put apk on sdcard. Make sure you have enabled the ability to install software from unknown sources. Then with any file manager, browse to the folder on your sdcard where you put this latinIME.apk and select it to install. It will overwrite the old one.

Does int work also with p690 O. Net?

Have you ever heard of a file explorer? If yes, download a root explorer, mount system as r/w and delete the LatinIME apk from system/apps and replace it with the new apk. Don't forget to change permissions to rw-r-r

I'm not at my PC at the moment but if I'm not mistaken there is not a Hindi dictionary in the full LatinIME.apk . I cannot make the language dictionaries. I will check tho.
As for making one yourself, its pretty easy. Download the mini English LatinIME.apk to your PC. Rename it by adding .zip extension. Download or copy from a rom the full LatinIME.apk. Also rename by adding .zip extension. Use some kind of zip manager to open the mini English LatinIME. Browse to /res/raw/. Now do the same for the full LatinIME. find your language dict in the full LatinIME, copy it. Go to the mini English version and paste what you copied to the /res/raw folder. Make sure that your dict is just stored, not compressed. Close the zip app. Rename the edited LatinIME.apk.zip back to LatinIME.apk. Now its ready to install on your device.

as far as i know they are in system/lib folder ofcourse you need to be rooted and i guess the most important files is :
libsika.so
libsikagal.so
libwebcore.so
but if your language doesnt has connected letters you can use more locale2 in the market it has allmost all the languages in the world
Thank you for the answer. my phone is rooted and how can I edit those files? I dont think that locale2 can help me because I want to translate the interface. By the way my language doesnt have connected letters.

Exact swype version needed.
Hi,
I have a Galaxy Fit I bought on 15th Oct 2011 and I'm from Bangalore, India. On the stock rom of my phone, I had a swype keyboard but lost it after i flashed it to other mods. I now need the exact swype keyboard. I have tried downloading a stock rom from samfirmware but I did not get the exact version of the swype that I wanted.
My mail id is [email protected], would help if you sent a mail with the answer.
Attachments show the version of swype I want. Got the pics from a youtube video.
Hoping I get this. :3
not proper language for me

Agree. Related the same to a user on the 7.7 forum. Factory reset can allow one to change to another language but have never heard of a situation where more than one language could be used on a single install. Would be interesting though...
It is possible to change the device language without resetting the device!
Check the attached images.
If you want to change to a language that does not exist in the Language settings, then that's a different story.
I hope I understood your questing right.

[APP][Official][CWM] Sony Xperia T 4.1.2 Keyboard [JB/ICS]

Hi,
I just got the leaked Jelly Bean 4.1.2 ROM for Xperia T and extracted the keyboard, which has Swipe feature built in. And a fellow user, kristiancarl, already uploaded the Xperia S version previously, which was running fine except on where it had instant search enabled, like YouTube search, Google search, Play Store etc etc. But this new one works perfectly EVERYWHERE.
I am very new to this stuffs and in fact spent more than half an hour finding the proper libs and all, to get it working  but to me the main thing is that it's working and working damn fine
CWM zip is attached. I am also uploading the files in a folder, kidnly place/redirect them at the right place
File download:
♦ CWM flashable zip:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/7nf7q34bzlfpq2b/XperiaT_KB_JB.zip
♦ Files for Manual method:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tie67eqvtenlva7/Sony Xperia T Swipe.rar
• Installation instructions:
1- Extract the downloaded file.
2- You will get three folders.
3- The system-app folder has two files inside them. textinput-tng.apk (English language) and textinput-chn.apk (Chinese lang I guess). If you want both languages or one, just copy them/one under system/app. Make permission rw-r-r
4- The file in system-lib folder should go directly to system/libs.
5- The folder xt9 under folder system-usr needs to go under system/usr. Copy the whole xt9 folder.
6- Reboot.
Done. You will now see the Xperia™ keyboard under language, and it WILL WORK. I am using Note 2, running on 4.1.2 Odexed, and it works, so I guess it will work on all JB ROM, and maybe ICS too.
Why should you use this keyboard:
- Has predictions.
- Has auto corrections.
- Swiping feature is great, if not better than Swype.
- Different layouts.
- Custom words can be saved.
- Multiple languages.
Kindly hit thanks if you were able to get it working.
Regards.
i`m uploading a CWM flashable zip.....
EDIT:
Here it is....

It's working perfectly here... Using a cm10.1 based Rom...
Got it working here. Will play with it a little. Looks awesome so far. Nice work

Re: [APP][CWM]Sony Xperia T Keyboard with Swipe gesture (Working everywhere)
It worked great for me, but I don't like the way the gesture trail looks, and I can't see a way to turn it off, lol, so I've removed it Great share though
Could you add cursor arrows please if you know how?
slide trails is not changing color with theme it remains default blue
Compatible with Xperia Tipo ST21i ?
The Chinese keyboard FC every time i try to open it
This keyboard is just awesome. Thanks a lot for posting this one. You're the first. :good:

Hello sir, I hold no interest about CM, so can't say why the files are not there. They are there on any stock ROM.
I use Root Explorer, and there you tap and hold on a file, you'll get lot of options, one will be called 'permissions', hit it, then make the permission like the below screenshot, that's rw-r-r.

Can you make one based on the final JB 4.1.2 Xperia T firmware?
Keyboard works just fine. Love it. Skins are way better then the old ones.
Thanks!

Hello. You removed the whole keyboard or just the "gesture trail" picture file somehow? If so, how?
To turn the swipe thing off completely you just need to go to settings -> gesture input.

After flashing the zip i provide you before, delete "AudioEffects.apk" from system/app..it should be enough...(the zip restored the stock sony lib)
i installed the new mod.personally i like it more than max audio effects.low and mid frequencies are stronger but i think it has more distortion generally using headphones and speaker. I prefer the sound of xperia zero its far way better than max audio and this new mod.can you port sony's effects and sony;s sound engine from xperia zero to emuml superleggera?this would be the ideal i think.
By the way arcatarc how superleggera version of xperia zerio is going? when are you going to release it?hope it has very few apps .normal version had more than 270 system apps.if superleggera could be limited to 70-80 it would be amazing......
