Looking for a note taking and task app. - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I'm looking for a good note taking app. I'm also looking for an app for tasks for CM10 similar to what Sense has that I can set tasks that I have to do for the day and also things like what to get at the store. Anyone know of any good ones?

Any.do is a good task app. Has some nice widgets too

I use gtasks . Not for notes but just tasks. Google calendar integration is great and it has nice widgets too.

Evernote is decent.

The thread is about an app. It's in the right section. Every one wants to be a moderator.

Any.do is brilliant. In addition to nice widgets, it can sync across multiple devices (even has a chrome extension) and to gtasks. Simple but effective.

Like xWriter using the 7notes keyboard. Great handwriting to text and good ui with folders for projects

Any.do has been giving me problems lately. Some of my tasks disappear when I use the scrollable widget and the text in the app becomes all distorted sometimes.

I see there's an Android version of Instagram in the works, which looks promising.
For now, you could try CameraFX (oldie but a goodie). Vignette (paid) is also a slick alternative
Yeah those two are good but if you have ever used instagram the choices are few which makes it simplistic which is what I'm looking for

Fair enough. Have you tried Camera Effects by Swiss Codemonkeys? That may be more suitable for you
from what ive been reading, instagram is supposed to be out for Android "very soon" .... isnt it?
hopefully within the next week or two
so far Vignette and PhotoZoom Fx are pretty good
i haven't tried Instagram before but i think those android application not bad for you
In my eyes Eyeem has as allmost all features as Instagram has and is a lot of fun. It comes with some simple but very nice effects and the built in community like Instagram has.

You could try CameraFX, Lightbox and Flickr.

Flipboard for Android now available!

Just seen this on Engadget.com . Looks like a fellow XDA member (all the credit goes to Valcho) extracted the .apk from a demo SG3 using AirDroid.
Article :

Download and instructions :

It is like Google Currents, or Pulse Reader. Basically an Rss reader
But very attractive. Kind of like a magazine.
I like to use Pulse myself; I prefer function over form

Have you ever used pulse before? Basically you can connect to various newsfeeds and all you have to do is flip the screen up or down to navigate through them. Works well with Facebook and Twitter. You can also connect other accounts such as Instagram and Tumblr.

Nope.
I use News 360 for news stuff. I set it as a widget. One for Top Stories and one for Sports. Fills up a whole page. I like it.
I may check out the Pulse or Flipboard thingy.

an alternative facebook app, or an alternative social network?
Google plus is your best bet, great communication with people who have the same interests. Take time to look at the many guides for how to get the most out of your experience.
Sorry for the confusing title. I meant an alternative for the Facebook app

I've found just going to the mobile site using the web browser works best for me. No apps to download and youcan do everything you need to. only thing you don't get is notifications which to me isn't a big deal.

Are you able to somehow view events in fast for facebook? I bought fast pro last night, and noticed I can't seem to see events. Lately my work friends have been scheduling their Happy hours through it, and I'd like to be able to see it on my phone without using the mobile site.

Not sure but here's the Fast for Facebook thread can ask the dev. Or see if he would implement that into it.

Your favorite facebook app?

I am using Atrium. What is your favorite? It's a lot less laggy than the official facebook.
I was looking for an alternative app to facebook last week, and now I am using Klyph. Great design, so far it works, no bugs so far.
I just started using it. What's a better twitter app?

The official app is too heavy.
Now i try Fast and Atrium

stock facebook app is fine
falcon or robird for twitter
What's wrong with the stock one? I use Tweedle for Twitter, love it.
Personally, I use the official apps for both FB and Twitter. They both do exactly what I need them to do
My vote is for Friendcaster, even though I haven't used the official app for years now.
I like the layout and features. Especially like the built in high resolution contact pictures sync so I don't have to use another third party app to replicate this.
