Need definitive answers reverting to factory state Telus Samsung Galaxy S2xT989D - General Questions and Answers

There are several conflicting threads and I hope I can get some definitive answers here regarding my Samsung Galaxy S2x (SGH-T989D), which unfortunately has to go back to Telus.
Phone is rooted, otherwise stock everything. Unless rooting alter the stock rom somehow.
Rooting was done through Odin using "recovery-cmw-hercules.tar" and "CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip".
Questions:
What is the quickest way to revert to stock, unroot, reverse-rooting?
Will a factory reset get rid of my root? Can I just delete the superuser files from the system directory?
Do I need to flash a stock Telus rom from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350357
"Custom binary" counter says "NO" and current binary is "Samsung Official", I assume it means I do not need to reset the flash counter
Thank you very much in advance.

[Q] Bricked phone, need help unbricking. (System software not authorized....etc.)

So, I've done this before, and I've never bricked a device until now.
I tried installing a custom rom for my Galaxy S3 on Verizon, but when I restarted, it says this:
System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help.
I can't get into clockwork, or any bootloader. Any attempt to do anything brings this screen up.
Now, I can get into the Odin downloader. (Power, volume down and home). But, I can't figure out how to get a Rom to load. This is where I am stuck. I have downloaded a few roms, all stock, but none of them want to be recognized. I have no idea where to go. I've been downloading stuff for 5 hrs and nothing has worked, so now Im going to the forumns. Any help is appreciated.
I have the Verizon i-535 Galaxy SIII.
You did not brick your phone you failed to unlock your bootloader. There are 2 guides in the android dev section for rooting.

Odin back to stock and next time after rooting make sure to use EZUnlock 1.2 to unlock the bootloader BEFORE loading a ROM

[Q] Unlocking bootloader with Odin

I started playing around with a stock S3 today and am now getting the "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone." error. All I can get into is Odin and all the instructions I've found for unlocking the bootloader involve Clockwork Recovery (which I have/had installed but can no longer get to).
Any help getting this thing working again would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Probably have to go back to stock via odin flash and reunlock and reroot. That's my best guess.
Cruzin the Galaxy SIII via SynergyRom/Anthrax kernels

[Q] Galaxy s5 Odin and flashing

after towel was released at&t released a update which fixed the patch that was used to root in towelroot. I have heard that there are alternative rooting methods which I have tried that involve Odin. For some reason though when I try to use Odin it always told me fail and after a certain amount of tries in bricked my phone which is now in a boot loop. can someone help get me out of that bootloop?
I also have another question. Can't you just flash a older version of android to your Galaxy s5 and then use towelroot to root it?
(I am very new to this rooting experience and I would appreciate step by step guide)
Than you
You probably had "fail" message because you hadn't disabled the option "Reactivation Lock" in Security settings before using Odin.
To fix your phone, just boot in Download Mode, then flash a working firmware for your S5. Do you how to do that ? Can help you if needed
I also have another question. Can't you just flash a older version of android to your Galaxy s5 and then use towelroot to root it?
Yes you can, but prefer using newer version for you'll have better performance and security updates.

[Completed] Galaxy S7 Stock Firmware Reset

I recently rooted my Galaxy S7 T-Mobile Variant (SM-G930T) and I did not trip Knox at all (there was no custom recovery). After a little while, I decided I wanted to unroot my device to have access to Samsung Pay, Updates, etc., and also because and because of an issue with a Xposed Module. To do so, I simply factory reset my device from recovery, thinking everything would go back to normal. However, I noticed that Samsung pay would still not work after the reset, as it still believed it was rooted. I checked my information in Odin/Download mode and saw that Know was still not tripped, and the current binary was still at "Samsung Official". The problem, though, was that the system status was at "Custom" rather than official. My presumed solution to this was to completely reset the phone to the stock firmware. I originally tried to use Samsungs programs, (Smart Switch and Kies) but they didn't work as I kept getting the error saying the model 'SM-G930T' was not supported. I know I can reset the firmware using Odin but I am Hesitant. I don't know if flashing the stock firmware with Odin will trip Knox, and I am also unsure of where to find the latest firmware for my device. To recap, I basically want to return the status to official and also be able to use Samsung Pay/ receive OTA official updates without tripping Knox.

Thank you for this. However, I don not believe this is the most recent firmware and I am also still unsure if Knox will trip as a result from this.

I've figured it out. I downloaded the latest firmware for my device off of sammobile.com then flashed the files using Odin. It did not trip Knox and i was able to use Samsung pay again. If anyone wants to do this or has any questions you can private message me or reply in this thread.
Glad you found you way.

How to get warranty back of a new galaxy device after rooting

Hi there. I've discovered "tryangle away", but someone said that its development has stop. So, now, I want to know is there any possibility to get my warranty back on my new galaxy a5-2017 after i did rooting it? I read somewhere that it needs to reset the flash counter to 0, which is not possible through only flashing the stock firmware with oddin.
